Creaky black Lumia 920 - Nokia Lumia 920

Hi!
Is it normal for the unibody on the Nokia Lumia 920 to creak and klick when using it? It doesent take much pressure to make it do creaking sounds. A bit annoying and really bad for the quality feeling when holding it.

No it is not a standard.

My black Lumia is solid as a rock. No creaking at all. I would contact Nokia or your provider for a replacement.

Titannic decision.

Had HTC phones for the past 4years now, Loved the Diamond and HD2, Hated the Plastic HD7 and drooled over the Titan when I first got it, Got a Lumia 800 the other day which was very cheap so gave it a go, Totally sold on it now, Screen so much better and the colours really vivid, Curved screen is a nice touch and the Nokia apps a real treat, Have ordered a Free Lumia 900 with a new contract so just gotta wait for that now, Think I can live with the slightly smaller screem on the 900, So impressed with the build quality overall of the Nokias, Think I will keep the Titan for now just in case the 900 turns out to be too good to be true but judging from the 800 I have high hopes, Time will tell

Got Lumia 800 myself this morning and tell you what - it's a beauty!
I loved Windows Phone from day 1, but after using Lumia 800 (no FFC, small phone, no added camera features) - I haven't touched my Titan since!
The colours make it all so pleasant I think. It just feels so beautiful and good.
I have made up my mind. Never, ever, ever, ever buy S-LCD or SS-LCD or SSS-LCD over an Ameloid or S-Ameloid especially the one with ClearBlack technology! It's well worth giving away big screen, front facing camera and panorama shots!
Oh, wait did I say big screen? Of course I din't mean that. The only reason I am using my Titan back from tomorrow is because I LOVE it's enormous screen size. If I can, I will get Lumia 900 for sure.
The "Lumias" are gorgeous girls in the town. However "Lumia 900" has long legs and a dimple on her cheek (FFC I mean!)
Ha ha that's a great way of putting it, Am glad am not the only one falling for the lumias charms
I will never buy any tech (tablet or phone) with amoled screens due to potential burn in over time. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has burn in issues and i saw a lumia 800 with screen burn too with my own eyes. Super LCD is just as good (without being over saturated).
I love my Titan and can never go back to 4.3 again.

It's design is gorgeous! If it was the Meego OS, I wouldn't have been so attracted I guess. But WP + the design has made me feel like cheating on the titan!

I agree with the screen size here, but am not sure about the burns. I am rationalising it this way - The phones I use only last or should last for a year or two at max. If it burns after that period, it's ok. But the looks and colours are SO stunning with clearblack technology on Lumias!
Yeah am not that worried about the burn in either as I change my phones more often than necessary lol, Have serious issues I know Get bored very quickly but am happy knowing WP7 will get even better with time as other OS have.

No m8 we test it with the back cover off...we tested a million ways...in some other forum they told me that they low volume problem will be fixed in some newer fw update!!
Well seeing he just bought it, can't he exchange it? I personally have a Lumia 710 and it plays music pretty decently as long as I don't cover the speaker.
The sound isn't so loud. You'll have to get used to it, at least for now

White USB door

Hi everyone
I'm looking for a white usb door for my new white housing. Problem Is that i can't find it anywhere.
Anyways I was wondering if the N9 USB door is exactly the same?
They are cheaper and easier to get, so that would be awesome.
Also wondering it they have the same white finish.
Anyone been in the same situation?
Thanks in advance.

+1. Defect maybe?
Same here
I have the same issue, I hear its more prominent on blacks. Not a defect, just a design oversight i think.

Have a black and noticed it too. There is a bit of movement up top above the gorilla glass. I'm still in my 14 day window. Should I exchange it for another? The phone has locked up on me a couple of times too and the speakers make a loud twitch noise every so often when i'm dialing.

That sounds racist. LOL. Anyways, I didn't notice it at first but I figured out what OP was talking about. There's just a little give to it. Not sure if it's worth trying to open it up and figure out what's going on though

I looked at the Microsoft Store. It seems like the plastic isn't perfectly tight around the screen edges. And because that part of the plastic is so thin to begin with (it's got only 3 mm from the screen to the edge, and then 2 mm from the edge to the sim card cutout), it'll have a bit of flex. It's amazing how noticeable a quarter of a millimetre of yield can make...
Hopefully this gets sorted out. I don't know if Nokia would consider this a defect, but they should fix it.
I exchanged mine. Second one has no defect.

Quality control of HTC one...

I am a tech savy person who love new gadgets.
In my previous days, I had galaxy s3, note 2, and iPhone 5. Also I've went to T-Mobile store to buy the Sony Xperia z.
Sony was a great phone with waterproof and dust proof. But the downside out weigh my decision.
Sony had problems with their ui, like lag, and slow updates. Also WiFi reception were terrible. Also the battery won't hold charges and it would die within matter of couple hours. The phone's design is all glass, therefore... Holding the device would be extremely uncomfortable because it would get way too hot.
So I've went ahead and got the HTC one.
As far as ui goes, it's far surprior than Sony.
Only issues I have with my HTC one is one stuck dead pixel and making small popping noises through speakers. ( I will be exchanging next week)
Anywho, besides those few quality issues, HTC one feels good in hand. Just wanting to keep playing with the phone.
Anyways, is having stuck pixel quiet common? Along with low popping noises ?
I'll get the HTC one, because it's unique design and it's not galaxy phone. ( just joking). What are you experiences with the quality issues with the HTC one?

The popping sound is normal. It's just the amplifier turning on and off.
The dead pixel seems to be common as well. If it's not too noticeable I wouldn't worry about it and just enjoy your phone.
Nothing is perfect in life.
popping sound will be gone with CM 10.2 unofficial.
Had this sound too while using Stock Rom, ARHD or Trickdroid.
Also i've got a very small gap on top of the device but i can live with it^^
Yeah like not really even finger nail width but enough to see it close if you pinch down? That's what I have too. Got a clear Cimo grip back TPU case coming in a day or 2 from Amazon so once the clear case is on I wouldn't even see it.

The dead pixel is very small and only can be seen at black images or at dark places. But still visiable.
Also there is slight gap on top of my device. I'll still return and get the different one.
Oh and my usb charging poet has a chip... This was out of the box as well.

yeah exactly... but it doesn't close if I pinch down.
I'm only using my Fitbag for the One, didn't like cases so much^^
i bought my htc one at my local t-mobile store. it was perfect. then i bought my gf the same phone 1 week later from the same store. her phone had 1 dead pixel that was very annoying. you could only see it on a white screen. but it was a pretty big square. so i took it back and the replacement one was perfect. i wouldn't deal with a dead pixel with a brand new phone.
is this gap normal? got my one yesterday.

it should be not "normal" but seems to happen quite often :/
I've got the same gap but it starts near the power button and goes to the left corner (facing the phone as normal)
Cool, t mobile is sending me a new one so if the one they send is the same I will just keep this one. Otherwise it's one sexy device

So, I went to the local store and found the one with 7/2/13 manufactured HTC one. I assume being the lastest made was gonna be on par with quality.
And volla! My third one paid off! It's in perfect quality. No dead pixels, no gaps, no glue sticking out.
Mean while, I made a call to tmobile and they sent me another one... But this one looks like refurbished phone. But didn't have any dead pixels. Although it has small gap and glue sticking out... Looks very refurbished and looks like the company were rushing the device to build.
Both are solid without any noticeable defects. I'll be keeping the one out of new box. And send the replacement one. Although this one doesn't have any dead pixels.
I guess later built phones are more quality vs earlier manufactured date. So far, it's an amazing phone. I'm so happy with it in the end and paid off!
Anyways, wish you the best everyone.
