I rooted by a method shown in the video if you youtube root verizon samsung galaxy s3 4.1.1. Guys name is droidmodderx(curses for not letting me post links)
The root was a success, but I wanted to overclock my phone as a next step. I installed ez recovery and set cpu, but it wont let me go above 1.5 ghz so I was wondering if someone could help me with that. Also if someone does provide me another custom rom, could you make sure it still has the motion features? I dont wanna lose that thanks.
Flash a custom kernel.
a sammy-based rom will have all the features.

The stock limit is 1400mhz, as stated, but you can overclock safely to 1600mhz. Above that you risk lockups and burned out chips. Be careful messing with voltages as you can permanently damage the SOC.
At 1600mhz there is the occasional stabilty issue but lockups are rare. Above that is no-mans land. That said, the rest of the system isn't built to clock higher than 1400mhz, hence why it's the stock limit.

well i guess computer tech geeks would know this,i just use the phone,i dont know the components to build it.... all i know is setCPU and tegrak are used to undervolt, where tegrak was used on stock
i used it on my SGs2,didnt know it was dependant on computer architecture, because seems setCPU is used on a multitude of different phones
with that said, was system tuner able to do that??

System tuner worked for me on DaG custom gingerbread kernel. was able to oc to 1.83 stable and did do some undervoltage playing, but went to ics. Was not able to get it working on any ics roms. From what i have seen/read until devs get source they are very limited on modifying kernels to allow this.

so I heard about ROM FoxHound for SGS3 that the RAM doesnt get higher than 400mb when working with this Rom!
im using stock s3 and my ram goes up to 667MB which is lretty low because I got the international version of s3.
so what is this foxhound Rom? how can I install it? and is it better from stock? what are the advantages and disadvantages?
sorry for long post and many questions.

You need to have at least 3 charge cycles before you can experience the difference.
Yes when I first got my s3 the battery was pretty bad compared to iPhone 4. But do the cycles and find a good rom and it's a whole nother world. I suggest read a lot here and watch YouTube vids

Depends on what all you have activated and what all is running in the background. Switch off gps, auto sync, auto sync is the main cause of battery drain, also turn off wifi and 3g data when not in use, standby time on idle should be 1% drain in 2-3 hours as per the latest firmware LG8, im getting full day battery with normal usage with screen time of 4-5 hours...

Your rom is fine... Just use it for couple of days and you will see the difference. By the way, turn off gps if not in use and turn off NFC. Also turn off any gesture you don't use at all.
Enjoy your phone.

I have some queries.. Say if i install omega rom, and i want to rma the set, touch wood, Do i use triangleaway first, to rid of the flash counter, and then flash back the stock official samsung firmware? Any steps i need to take other than these steps?
And another question, does omega use a custom kernel to improve battery life?
Hey guys! Just saw an S3 and i have checked the Settings > About phone. This is what is there
Baseband
MAUI.11AMD.W11.50.SP.V12, 2012/09/20
Build Number
ALPS.ICS.MP.V26
Custom Build
000121114
And when i attempt going into download mode (vol down+home+power), i get something like Factory Test mode or so... Self test and things like dat... What do you guys think? and what to do to get into download mode and flash ROM

have a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1843934
definitely a S3 clone, no matter how many times u tried to look at it...
I don't doubt you bought an I9300, but the trouble is all the chinese clones are also I9300's... The difference is that most have a completely different CPU (mtk6575/77), are a heap slower and you can be assured that trying to install any S3 rom on them is doomed to failure...
I hope you didn't pay more than a couple hundred dollars because otherwise you got ripped off big time if it is fake... To check use antutu from the play store, you can check the specs and post back here to show if it is fake or not. If it says you have a dual core mtk 6575 or 6577 then you definately have a fake....
Thanks alot bros! Its most definitely a fake. Please delete thread an admin! Thanks!

Put your phone in the cave for 1 day...tomorrow when u take ur phone back u will get 2gb ram and extra 128gb memory card ..awesome!!!
The only way to have 2 GBs of RAM is to have an International LTE version of Galaxy S3 - Model GT-i9305, or one of the carrier exclusive models.
