[Q] Boot Loop after Xposed Installer on SHV-E160L - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Hi Guys, I badly need all the help I can get from you.
Thanks to all who have shared and enlightened me in rooting.
I was naive to try and install the Xposed Installer and APK apps that would enable me to view apps in tablet mode on my E160L without flashing and installing Paranoid Android. I got he tutorial video from youtube (www*dot*youtube*dot*com/watch?v=Yx0a-C4xGTM)
As I was already done downloading and installing both files/apps, after the supposedly last reboot, my phone got stuck in Boot Loop. Hence my problem. I am a root virgin and I have all to thank you guys for helping me analyze the problem and probably find a solution to this. Special thanks to darkspr1te who has been patiently assisting me as well.
So here's what I did and downloaded from different threads here.
1. Downloaded HOME_E160L.UH24.1821_CL966093_REV02_user_low_ship_ rooted.tar from this thread: [SHV-E160][Root][Stock]How to Root Korean Note via Flashing with Rooted Stock FW
2. Downloaded cwm with this filename: samsungE160recovery.tar from this thread "How to root a korean galaxy note E160L (LGU+) model (ICS) + cwm install"
3. Downloaded Odin wit this filename: Odin3 v1.85 from this thread: [SHV-E160][Root][Kernel]How to Root Korean Note via Tegrak Kernel Setup.
4. Followed instructions:
- power off phone
- connect usb cable to phone and PC
- run Odin as administrator
- go into download mode: vol down+home+power
- device was identified by Odin (only Auto reboot and F .Reset Time was checked and PDA,
- clicked PDA and chose HOME_E160L.UH24.1821_CL966093_REV02_user_low_ship_ rooted.tar file
- watched and finished flashing
- pressed vol down+home after vibration on reboot
- now again on download mode, same settings as before, clicked PDA and chose samsungE160recovery.tar
- upon reboot, pressed vol up+vol down and went into recovery mode under the name E110S CWM Recovery Quens Mod
- chose advanced, chose wipe davlik cache --> yes - wipe davlik cache, ***go back***, wipe cache partition (yes), wipe data/factory reset (yes)
- chose reboot system now and watched and waited for reboot
5. I tried waiting even if phone rebooted for many times while not being able to move past U+ LTE image (phone reboots again).
6. Other files downloaded:
- from thread "How to root a korean galaxy note E160L (LGU+) model (ICS) + cwm install" aside from samsungE160recovery.tar file
- cwm-160l-update.zip
- Superuser-i717-ICS-signed.zip
- Tegrak.rec.tar
- from thread [SHV-E160][Root][Kernel]How to Root Korean Note via Tegrak Kernel Setup
- Tegrak-Kernel-Build-41-for-SHV-E160L-UH24.recovery.tar
- Tegrak-Kernel-Build-41-for-SHV-E160L-UH24.zip
- from thread [ROOT/ROM/DEV] Korean Galaxy Note Development and Support
- cwm.tar (i tried flashing this one in download mode instead of samsungE160recovery.tar but when trying to go to recovery mode (vol up+vol down+power) after releasing buttons after seeing samsung name, it does not proceed to recovery mode. Only the samsungE160recovery.tar was successful. Tegrak was also successful but both failed to reboot properly after. I am still stuck in boot lopp issue.
Previous Phone set up:

I know I am asking a lot, but kindly please check my process and files and I would greatly appreciate any form of advice.
Thank you for reading and listening to me. Please help me. Thank you.

[Q] broke Galaxy S by wiping cache and dalvik cache

Hi all,
I think I broke my Galaxy S (I9000). I hope you can help me somehow. Here is the history of things I already did/tried
- my phone was working and had cyanogenmod 9.1 installed
- I wanted to give my phone a little speedup and wiped the cache and dalvik cache partition (did this before and it worked before)
- after this, phone was in a boot loop (even the battery loading animation rebooted over and over)
- the download mode still worked, but no recovery menu appeared!
- as given on cyanogenmod homepage in the install guide I flashed ClockworkMod Recovery using heimdall
- after that, recovery worked again
- I copied the cm9.1 zipfile on my phone to flash it, wiped the whole phone (factory reset), but flashing fails at some asserts (even though I disabled asserts) that seem to check that the target device really is a Galaxy S (I9000) (unfortunatly, I do not have a screenshot and cannot provide one now)
- I also had a ClockworkMod backup I tried to recover, but it fails at restoring /system (unfortunatly, I do not have a screenshot and cannot provide one now)
- so I thought, maybe I can use a regular firmware and flash it with Odin3 (1.87) to make things working at least a little
- started odin, selected firmware and started, but Odin3 got hung at some early point, so I closed Odin after ~10 minutes (see screenshot odin.jpg)
- when I now start my phone, only two symbols appear which kind of signal a problem with a connection to a (PC-)host which I have never seen before (see screenshot startscreen.jpg)
I tried a lot, but now I am out of ideas. Can you help?

Turn off phone, remove usb cable from pc if it's connected, remove battery, wait around 10 seconds, while battery is still not in the phone press the button combination for download mode. While u still holding the button combination for download mode, force reinsert the battery. Now phone should go into download mode automatically. Connect cable to pc and phone and flash stock Rom via Odin. Good luck
Worked! Great! Phone is back in download mode. Unfortunatly my work pc does not detect the Samsung composite device so I have to wait until I am back home. I hope Odin is working then. As given, it did not when I last tried.
Can you tell me what kind of mode this is, when those two symbols appear?
Robert
It's not any mode, it just an indication that earlier download mode flashing via Odin failed or interrupted by user.
U probably need to kill Kies process via Windows task manager before flashing with Odin because it's known to interrupt Odin, make it hung at setup connection.
Hi,
brought my phone into download mode again and this time odin flashed succesful. However, Kies was never installed on this computer so I have no idea why it worked now.
After flashing the phone rebooted, but stated several errors. They are similar to those which appear on reflashing with the cm91 zip via recovery mode ( "unable to mount ... (file exists)" ). I have made a screenshot and attached it. You have an idea how to help?
I have tried both the 512 and the 803 pit file, same results.
Thanks,
Robert
Tried to re reboot after those errors, but the S-Animation of the stock rom during boot never ended.
Robert
I took another stock firmware, JVI, which contains also a CSC and PDA image. Flashing worked, phone booted, Works!
I will see how to come back to my cm91, but a great step forward .
Thanks,
Robert
Made it back to cm91 . Thank you for your support.
Here are the steps ...
- applied I9000XWJVI.zip with 512 pit and repartition (2.3.3 based german stock firmware)
- applied I9000XWJW6_I9000DBTJW2_DBT (2.3.6 based german stock firmware)
- applied cf-root-xx_oxa_jw4-v4.4-cwm3rfs.zip as this clockworkmod recovery is able to disable verifications before appling a zip
- applied cm91 zipfile
- restored my backup

[Q] [HELP ME] Android System Recovery <3e> Not Working – Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i

This is my first post and frankly I am NOOB at XDA, Please help me. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i & all I want is to ROOT my phone & install CWM Recovery for testing Custom ROMs there. I read many threads here and learnt that I have to boot my phone in Recovery Mode as I am using Stock Kernel & Stock ROM. I followed the following Thread exactly and tried to use update.zip for ROOTing phone & ClockWorkRec5830i.zip file for installing CWM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552792
I took my phone in recovery mode by pressing POWER + VOL UP (same thing on screen appears when I press POWER + VOL UP + HOME). It shows the Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i logo and at the bottom left corner is shows
=> Factory Mode
After 1 second it is displaying a yellow Triangle ’ ! ‘ sign inside. Not showing any Text there on the triangle page. Now if I press vol + or vol – or power button it is not working/changing the display. If I press the HOME button, then it is showing the following page:
Android System Recovery <3e>
Android System recovery utility
Reboot system now
Apply update from sdcard
----
----
----
Restore user data
Now when I am selecting Apply Update from SDcard by using VOL up/down and pressing HOME button it is not working but it is showing the first Triangle Page again. Then I have to press the HOME button again to see the default Android System Recovery <3e> page again. No options from that page are working not even reboot system now or wipe data/factory reset.
I tried it many times by removing SD card, SIM card etc from last 5 days and same thing happening. I have to remove battery to Switch OFF the phone. I think the kernel installed in my stock ROM got BUGs. And so that it is not working but I read that I can use ODIN to install CWM or ROOT package by taking my phone in download mode by pressing POWER + VOL DOWN (same thing on screen appears when I press POWER + VOL DOWN + VOL UP). In my phone when it is in download mode it is first showing the Ace Logo & in the bottom left corner:
=> Factory mode
After few second it is showing a page that is like:
Factory Mode
Full test
Item Test
Test Report
Clear Flash
Version
Reboot
Here I can select any option using the VOL key and select option by pressing the HOME key. All option is working OK here. I can reboot phone from here or reset phone to factory condition selecting “Clear Flash” option. I think this is not the download mode XDA members are talking about, I am confused totally. I installed KIES and Samsung Driver from many websites, used another PC and unfortunately my phone is not detecting by KIES or ODIN anyhow. I am sure I installed proper USB driver and used latest version of KIES and Samsung driver. I used ODIN 1.84, 1.85, 1.87, even 4.22 but none of them can detect my phone. I selected the debugging mode in my phone as well.
I can mound SD card in my PC and transfer files. In my Device Manager, It is showing Android ADB Interface and drivers are installed OK. I used SuperOneClick 2.2 and clicked Shell Root and SuperOneClick Log is showing my phone model, manufacturer name etc while ODIN is now detecting my phone (ID:COM) not being YELLOW.
So, I am unable to ROOT my phone & install CWM recovery there either through Default Android Recovery <3e> OR using ODIN because phone is not being detected there. My phone is working OK, my phone don’t have the default apps from Google like Gmail, Google talk, YouTube etc. it has play store & search app from Google only. All the functions of my phone working smoothly but I can’t install non-market app now. My phone info at Settings >> About Phone:
Model number: GT-S5830i
Android version: 2.3.6
Baseband version: S5830IZCLF1
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #1
Build number: GINGERBREAD.ZCLF1
Pls someone help me. I am really being frustrated with my new Awesome looking android phone.
Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I tried another SD already and nothing happens when I select "apply update from sdcard". It shows the firrst triangle page again. I tried the same without any SD Card also, nothing. Even, if I select "reboot system" it again shows me the triangle page but phone not rebooting.
I can't flash any fireware because ODIN & KIES both can't detect my phone anyhow. If my current recovery would work, then there would no problem I think...
Please help me..

First of all, wrong device section mate! This is Galaxy Ace S5830i section. Also never ever touch any system files unless you know what you are doing. This is because all your important OS files are present there. Any slight mistake and you will find yourself in a bootloop or in the worse case you can even hard-brick your phone. Now if you can go to Download Mode, then you can flash back the stock rom through odin. Follow the instructions from the below link,
How to Install Original Stock ROM in Samsung Galaxy Y Using Odin
All stock firmwares for Galaxy Y
Next time make sure to post the question in the correct section. Hope I Helped

Stuck into booting into CWM every time after factory reset (Samsung Galaxy GT-I8262)
Peace!
Don't worry, dude! I had the same problem with my Galaxy Core I8262 when I factory-reset it from the Settings menu. I had the ClockworkMod Recovery installed already. It was stuck into booting CWM every time. Odin was unable to detect it either. So, here's how I managed it.
1. Restart Windows. And if it's stuck at the shutdown menu too, then force-shutdown it (by pressing the power button or turning off the power supply) and then start if manually.
2. After booting into Windows, reinstall Samsung drivers by completely uninstalling them first.
3. After successful installation, restart Windows once again.
4. Run Odin and connect your Android in Download Mode (Volume down + Home + Power). This time Odin must detect it, trust me!
5. Flash the CWM Recovery again via Odin (using the recovery.tar file).
6. Now you'll be able to boot into CWM as well as the ROM. But if you see your Android not going beyond the Samsung model logo then you'll need to download an official firmware file for your Galaxy Core and flash it via Odin.
I also used the 'format /system' option in CWM which might have wiped my system files. Let me know if the above procedure helps you.

help - SM-t585 does not boot after odin and twrp install

Hello guys,
if someone can help me with this:
- I got a brand new galaxy tab A6 2016 Lte sm-t585.
- The combination Power Vol Up Home never brought me anywhere.
- I managed to get once into what I think is the bootloader mode
(text list of options that loads after you see the image of the droid open being operated)
when I was trying to get into Odin download mode for the first time.
Now I do not know if and how that mode is accessible (I never managed again to get into it).
- I wanted to install xda ULTRALEAN rom. To do this I first looked the tutorial on how to
install TWRP and root the device on xda.
- I installed odin 3.12.3 and samsung usb drivers, downloaded supersu and the verity file
for later,
- I picked the twrp-3.0.2-0-gtanotexllte.img.tar file from the relative
xda thread and followed the instruction exactly (The only difference is I could not load
the .md5 file since odin would hang, I read many people had this problem. I did it with the
.tar file directly and everything went like described in the gui). Until "PASS!"
- Now the bad surprise: after Power Vol Down Home in Download mode (I tried with both USB
cable attached and not) Power Vol Up Home doesn' t work. The system would eventually boot
the stock Rom.
- I repeated all these steps many a time, with no success.
- Then I made what I thought is the big mistake: I ticked Odin Phone bootloader update
button and repeated the procedure.
- Now the phone is stuck on the galaxy samsung a6 splash
screen. The only thing I can do is to go to Download mode.
Ok, don't panic, all is not lost. But first let me tell you that you are not in the correct forum. This one is for the old P7500/7510. You know, first generation.
Anyways, since you can put it in download mode and you have Odin installed, you only have to hunt for your stock firmware (sammobile is a good place to start} and flash that with Odin. Your tab should be as good as new.

Galaxy S3 AT&T stuck in reboot loop

Hi,
I have a hand me down Galaxy S3 which seems to have a custom rom (it's loaded with TWRP 2.x). This device is stuck in reboot loop. Here's what I've tried so far:
1. Cleared dalvik cache
2. Cleared normal cache
It still is stuck in the loop
Downloaded Odin 3.12 and twrp-3.0.2-2-i9300.img.tar.md5, but Odin keeps freezing (Windows 10) so I can't get that to work.
I downloaded the Samsung USB tool from Samsung's website as well. I'm at my wits end on how to fix this reboot loop issue. Any ideas here?
Also, I have NOT been able to find a stock Android ROM for this device either.
Any help is appreciated. What I currently have access to:
1. TWRP screen (with volume up + power + home)
2. Download home (volume down + power + home)
Thanks
The only stock ROM for this phone that can be flashed with Odin is 4.1.1 because AT&T only released ota updates after 4.1.1.
