NEED SUGGESTION: Remote control and Updating Android remotely - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What app can you suggest for my situation?
My dad lives 8000 miles away from me,
I would like to help him on how to use android and install custom rom
I have T989 Samsung Galaxy S2
The complicating issue is that
- My dad does not have a desktop or a laptop
- I already have TWRP installed on the phone
What tools that can allow me to remote control android and show my dad how to use it
and at the same time flash custom rom when I want to
I can give him instruction on what to press on TWRP
But I would like to be able to control android once the ROM is booted
Free app would be great
Any suggestion?

[Q] Chinese android 4.1.1 (galaxy style duos)

Hello everyone.
I recently got a galaxy phone as a gift from a chinese friend of mine. I already have a galaxy s3 and I am very much familiar with the rooting n romming procedures etc.
This phone I got is called the Galaxy style duos SCH-i829. It comes with android 4.1.1.
The problem is, this phone is extremely different and weird compared to other android devices Ive used. For starters, it does not give me any option to make a google account, hence I cant use google play or any gapps. I have searched online so much on any kind of support or forum for this phone, but have found none.
I want to make it like a normal android phone with a normal google account linked to it etc. I wanted to know, is there anyway I can install a normal android 4.1.1 from somewhere on this? and not the chinese one? Im guessing that might be the problem and thats why it does not give me options even to make a google account.
So some one, please help me on this and let me know what I can do to make this phone like normal so I can use it normally, with normal android versions.
Thanks and any help is much appreciated.
correction, the model is GT-i8262D
Try this:
Turn on USB debugging on the phone, and open a command prompt window. Type these commands:
adb shell
ls /
Post the output here.
Have you got the sollution? I am facing the same problem.....

You have to install the Google Apps as a separate install when dealing with most non stock roms. Surely the guide you were looking at mentioned that...? Weird that you are having issues with Sms as it's rare roms have that trouble. Which messaging app are you using? Your contacts aren't there because you wiped your phone, installed a new operating system, and didn't install the Google apps to resync your account. I'm confused on why you're surprised by that... Kies doesn't work on non stock roms and is a much inferior tool vs Odin. Also, didn't you do a nandroid backup before installing Slim? If so, you could just restore that and you would be back to the previous version in like 10 minutes. If you didn't...well, you weren't looking at the right guides then. I think Slim is 10x better than stock, personally but depending on the phone and version, there can be some minor issues.
I think that Whatsapp doesn't recognize your phone because of the custom DPI. If you set that to stock value, it should work.

Help about Turbox Tablet Model G78

Hi friends my Turbox Tablet Model No. G78 is keep restarting.
when i wipe it in recovery mode then it works fine but after 2, 3 hours or after 1 day when i connect to internet and start to install some apps after this tab start restarting.
and some apps auto install like, Privacy Guard, Easy Touch, Omni Swipe etc.
and also have some suspicious services like. Timeservice, MonkeyTest etc.
please help about this problem and also provide any custom ROM for my TAB.
what custom recovery did you use for this? I have a G78 Chinese tablet too running on Andorid 4.1.1 and I'm looking to update the OS in here to a custom rom.

Which custom rom for O+O and S4

Good morning,
to make the long story short: I would like to get a recommendation, which custom rom to use.
My experience:
I've rooted already several devices and installed a slim saber rom. But I don't have any deeper knowledge about the internals of the custom roms. In the past I've used already Boeffla Kernel on a Samsung S3. So flashing a device isn't a problem for me. I know what adb is and how to use it.
Current problems:
My phone - Oneplus One: Didn't like the fact, that with every official update of CM OS I had to wait for a rooted package to get the update installed. And moreover I don't like the idea to integrate Cortana into my Android device.
My wife's phone - Samsung Galaxy S4: Since rooting this device 2 years ago, it doesn't get any updates anymore. It's still running Kitkat 4.4
What do I want / expect on features from a Rom:
Marshmallow and should be available for Oneplus One and Samsung Galaxy S4 (GTI-9505)
Customize the Home button (very important!): The last Custom Rom I used had as a default value with long pressing the home button to start Google Now. I don't want this and don't need this. Much more important to me is the behaviour of the previous versions to get the list of the recent apps on longpressing home how it was specified until Lollipop. I need something like the Alt+Tab behaviour of an ordinary desktop computer. A workaround to get this behaviour back was installing the Xposed Addins. But to install a whole framework, where the most modules don't work isn't a solution. And I didn't feel good with that.
Extended power menu would be nice: Fast reboot and reboot to recovery. Even better would be if all those options are only on one hierarchy level.
Wifi priority order: If there are at one place more than one wifi networks available, I would like to be able to configure, to which network should be tried to connect first.
Nice to have: show the encryption system of wifi networks like it was in Android 4 (e.g. wep, wpa, wpa2-psk). Missed this information since lollipop.
Battery saving
Shouldn't be a one-man-developed custom rom with an uncertain future
Don't need / don't want:
A lot of graphical stuff, special launcher (I'm addicted to Yandex Shell anyway), Sounds and battery draining stuff.
Which rom would you recommend? Thanks a lot for any suggestions.

Paid for apps won't install after rom change

Hello all, having some trouble with my old i9300 that has worked perfectly until recently.
The phone has had many different roms in its life when it was used as a main phone but now its used as a handy portable wifi radio streamer (save my main phones battery )
Gave it a clean lite rom install of ASOP NeatRom 4.4.4 which as always installed fine.
But upon trying to install apps from the Google Play Store I have paid for you get the install button but once pressed it asks you to pay again (have tried all the apps and they behave the same way) [tried on my main phone with the same account and the paid for apps install perfectly]
I have performed a factory wipe/reset as well as putting back on the official Samsung stock rom but still the same.
Hoping some wise person has an idea of why this problem is happening.
