Does this allow us to charge faster than 1A on supported chargers, or is that a limitation imposed by the Note's hardware? It would be nice if there was an option in software to force fast charging, even without a USB cable with the shorted pins.

What this includes
Based on Tiamats 8x60 branch, ill try to get the main points of the tiamat kernel also for those that arent familiar with it
OC up to 1944MHZ (tiamat)
SQLB (tiamat)
Simple IO, BFQ, V(R) I/O schedulers (tiamat)
Smartassv2, Lagfree govs (tiamat)
Tun, Cifs (tiamat)
Expose the vdd_sc values to the sysfs userspace (tiamat)
Snapdragon opts (ziggy)
Toasts updated GPU drivers (toastcfh duh)
Toasts new touchscreen drivers (toastcfh duh again)
3D and 2D overclocked
ZRAM
ZCache
Swap support enabled
Disclaimer: What everyone else puts in kernel threads, about me not being responsible, ect.
Latest kernel
Twisted_Kernel-v1_Evo3D
Methods of flashing
Joeykrim's "flashimage gui" app on the market using one of the zImage files from the zips
(To be added soon) Teamwin's "Kernel manager" app on the market.
Flashing via recovery using one of the zips here.
Recommended apps =)
CPU Master (personally what I use)
Nofrills - App to manage I/O scheduler, clock speeds & governors.
Adw ex or go launcher ex
Colorize widgets - Great widgets to replace the lpp ones for those converting to other launchers.
AppMonster(pro or free) - Great backup utility, automatically backs up all apps.(I like it better than TB)
GPS Status - Great application for finding satalites near you and helping get a quick lock.
Any go dev team app - Great dev team, all their apps are worth looking at.
Locating cpu% eating applications.
When in ADB shell type the following
top |grep app
or if your rom supports it htop is much better(Without grep, so just "htop")
Then look for items with high amounts of cpu% while the phone is idle.

Other times there are just random reboots. I'm just going to assume the new screen improvements that caused this. So I went back to tiamat kernel sadly.

I am running AOKP and before the stocks kernels battery life was not too good now I am running NEAK with AOKP 5-1 and I wanted to know which has better battery life. Siyah was amazing for me on GB with UnNamed.
EDIT: I tested Siyah for a few days it was pretty bad even with underclocking 200 - 800 or 1000 and with undervolt. Sticking with NEAK again just wanted to know if NOOP + ONDEMAND would be better or NOOP + LAZY.

Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5
Not just that every phone is unique, it's that every user has a unique setup with different app usage pattern. Different apps behave differently and consume power differently; therefore, my setup may require very different kernel setups to get extended battery life than yours might. As he said above my post, your the best judge of what works for your setup, try them all and see what works for you.

In N.E.A.K Options inside Recovery, you can enable two additional governors, as well as put Lionheart tweaks on the Conservative governor.
I find Lazy governor works well for me, but I'm still switching around. NEAK definitely gives me better performance, but seems to give me less battery life. More testing to perform!

i've been using siyah...i get a lot of lockups with neak..but i think its because i'm not using neak correctly.
in the options is it better to have all governors enabled (conservative, lionheart, lazy)? also i hear for cpu that ondemand with bfq is preferred.
also does anyone have sched_mc and ext4 boost checked?
May you please post your i/o schedulers, governor, the way you charge it, and other essential info?

Btw, these are the settings I'm using, and so for today (6+ hrs) I've had zero problems. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23139337#post23139337
I had Siyah and battery life was not that great. I would leave the phone idle over night (5-6hrs) and it would go down about 20-30 percent. On the other hand with this new Neak kernel it only went down 1 percent. I can def see an improvement in battery life.
Would like to thank all the Beta Testers of my Elite kernel for Nexus 7. They have allowed me to see how low voltages can go in the device. Also, credits go to _motley, fosser2, Cpajuste, pershoot, catch1571, pinoyto, masterg0g0, morfic etc...and to who ever I missed. Biggest thanks to my wife for giving me the chance to do this.
UPDATED 10/19/2012
1. This kernel is updated to utilize the latest 4.1.2 by Google for Nexus 7
2. Same voltages applied as before to extend your battery life
3. Same speed of CPU and GPU
4. Same warning as below.

Now to the kernel
This kernel is basically a STOCK kernel with voltage lowered to the lowest possible settings to EXTEND battery life. No tweaks other than voltages
This are for Nexus 7 users who care more about BATTERY life and LESS HEAT than overclocking.
Here are the changes.
1. Undervolting is NOT POSSIBLE in this kernel. Undervolting has been done by me in the kernel
2. CPU voltages are default to maintain stability but it shines in undervolting the other aspects of the device, ie: pll_c, memory, emc, host1x, GPU 2d/3d bus etc...
2. vdd_core/vdd_rail decreased voltage from 1.2 to 1.1mv
3. emc, pll_c, host1x, GPU decreased from 1.2 to 1.1mv
4. Compiled using Linaro Toolchain
5. Speed of GPU 2d/3d/vde etc set at 400 mhz (close to stock of 416)
6. Backlight default decreased to 5 for better reading at night and decrease battery consumption
Here is the link OR CLICK ON THE BOTTOM
https://rapidshare.com/files/3373858690/ClemsynELITEBatterySaverStock.zip
WARNING:
Due to aggressive undervolting of this kernel. It might not work with your device. So please be very familiar with backup/restore of your device
** If you like my work. Please do not hesitate to click on the DONATE TO ME button and add to my Nexus7 fund and reward my work. It will be appreciated THANK YOU.
git https://github.com/clemsyn/Grouper
I will use this as my daily driver when I'm not testing kernels.
Edit: I just realized that this is stock, I though it was like the previous 1.5 one of the series. Would you be updating on that regard in the future?
Edit2: Temp wont reach 40.0 C 37.0 C being the mac with none to light use.
Edit3: So has anyone tried to see if init.d support is there?
very nice!

Probably not then, you still have to modify the code to enable init.d support in AOSP source. Will give this a go anyway for the battery saving. Thanks for your work.

Hey inman thanks for the reply. Should have put Sense 5 in the title to draw some more people but all is good
By the way, did you notice any slowdowns in sense 5 when using the arc reactor kernel? I noticed a considerable slowdown from stock. still pretty cool though, im about to start a Sense 5 Port General thread.
Yeah I shouldve! No I didn't have any lag or anything. It was actually flyin! I maxed out to 1.89 on both cores and performance on both and got mid 7000's. I had read ahead set to 2048 and had a swap file set at 80%. I think stock I got a 6200!

sorry brotha but he put his up first, just a minor correction though as yours is properly named so its probably better to switch anyways however i gotta say a 7000 quad is just intense a 6200 equally intense.
can you what you did to the kernel? im using a s*** app from the play store to manage my OC and whatever, but i got a slowdown that was kind of rediculous.
I use kernel tuner, hands down the best kernel app out! In this specific quadrant I had vsync turned off, read ahead set at 2048, io schedualer set on Zen, swapiness set at 80%, gpu maxed on both 3d & 2d, both cores on intellidemand with min 192 and max 1500's.

I think somebody already broke 8000 running SWG and the Arc Reactor kernel
The advice is free....the bandwidth, not so much
this kernel is based off crpalmers aosp kernel i have modded a few clocks and change fsb and gpu clocks for folks who want more from there device in time as i learn more about performance i will modify and update kernel with changes and keep updated
Code:
to do list
sweep2wake
any request

It says AOSP, and I dont think we have any 4.1 AOSP ROMs, just 4.2.2 CM based ROMs.

Not a big one Lol I just figured some folks who can't compile and such wanted a higher clock device. But I am learning so why not share

Any idea, on what ROM will it work?
I'm going to add a few things like voltage control and two govs and then work on performance and speed like I said based on what your CPU is binned is how your device will clock

I am probably getting excited for nothing but if I do use this kernel with CM10.1 will it take care of all the bugs like audio, BT, and camera
no all of those things are still a work in progress and i cant work bt anyways i dont have a headset but i am going to try i fix audio not sure how fast i can work as im still learning the ins and outs of coding
I haven't had a chance to search or ask Crpalmer about this...but could you add in the 192mhz clock speed? Since one of his updates to the CM kernel, its only ever had 384mhz as the lowest select-able. As far as I know his sense kernel still has 192mhz in it. Just a thought!
I clocks added all the way down to 100 MHz but for some reason I can only get it to show 384 _ 1512 mhz

the reason crpalmer/chad removed it was because now at 384mhz it uses the same amount of power as the 192mhz clock did, so now it does more for less power basically
Is this gonna be dependent on cm builds? If so, you might wanna designate dates like in Palmers thread

Odd..I flashed this and it made illusion laggy. The settings say 3.4.10 and the clocks low and high are 384/1512. Maybe this is just alpha and you're working on something, but I still thought I'd report.
i am so excited for s2w aosp i am freaking out!
Did I miss the source information/link?
