Hey inman thanks for the reply. Should have put Sense 5 in the title to draw some more people but all is good
By the way, did you notice any slowdowns in sense 5 when using the arc reactor kernel? I noticed a considerable slowdown from stock. still pretty cool though, im about to start a Sense 5 Port General thread.
Yeah I shouldve! No I didn't have any lag or anything. It was actually flyin! I maxed out to 1.89 on both cores and performance on both and got mid 7000's. I had read ahead set to 2048 and had a swap file set at 80%. I think stock I got a 6200!

sorry brotha but he put his up first, just a minor correction though as yours is properly named so its probably better to switch anyways however i gotta say a 7000 quad is just intense a 6200 equally intense.
can you what you did to the kernel? im using a s*** app from the play store to manage my OC and whatever, but i got a slowdown that was kind of rediculous.
I use kernel tuner, hands down the best kernel app out! In this specific quadrant I had vsync turned off, read ahead set at 2048, io schedualer set on Zen, swapiness set at 80%, gpu maxed on both 3d & 2d, both cores on intellidemand with min 192 and max 1500's.

3800+? How did you get that high?
I'm running SGT 10.1 rooted/In Parisv4/Pershoot's kernel and OC @1.4 or so I thought. I read this and opened Quadrant Standard. Ran it and got 1829. I noted this was about the same as those running at 1Ghz and knew something wasn't right. I went into SetCPu and checked "set at boot" rebooted the tab, and my scores are now much betta:
2941
3069
3069
3063
not bad, but based on the advice in the SETCPu setup guide and my experience as an original/gangster of PC overclocking (Celery Sandwich will likely tell my age) this not be any issue at all, for the SGT10.1, but if you start seeing weird ()&(^$# THEN BACK IT DOWN, RINSE, REPEAT AT A LOWER FREQUENCY, if the problem can't be reproduced there it's likely due to instability between frequencies of CPU and main memory. Bottom line step your oclock up slowly until you hit repeatable instabilities/errors/crashes, and then back it down.
Anyone know off the top of their head an app to monitor the temperature of the CPU? I get the battery temp from inside Set CPU along with a lot of great info except my CPU temp, which is typically important for OC'ers.
NOTE: If you have issues with WiFi, IT IS NOT DUE TO THE KERNEL, but due to the ROM you are running.
The kernel is now online....sorry, was working on a new server for us, we should have a ROM here soon too.

that would be sweet, i read that its only stable to 1.7.....thats what everyone keeps telling me as well. I dont think ive seen a phone yet hit the 2.0 barrier on a dual core!
what are the steps you use on your kernel. I know the stock goes from 1.18 straight to 1.5. did you change that so it atleast has 1.2,1.3 and 1.4? it also goes from 192 straight to 384. do you add a 200 in there at all. I think that would help with power savings. especially when it comes to haves a screen off profile. The phone gets a little laggy when you have it set to just 192mhz for screen off. its better when its 192-384mhz. But having a 290 or something in there would help out im sure and save a little bit of juice due to being able to set it to 192-290 or what not.
just wondering. i thought the stock kernel on the phone was a little odd in them regards. it really likes 1.5 and really hates 192mhz.

It all boils down to voltage, some devices require more voltage than others, some require less. My 3D handles 1.83 all day long, but I had 3D's running at 1.83 LONG before I even had one, remember, I'm on Verizon.

There's no overclocking or voltage adjustments available with the stock kernel. You can change governor and I/O scheduler but that's it for now.

Ah yeah, I haven't used setCPU since I had my incredible, but with those kernels you couldn't change things like I/O scheduler so I didn't know if you could with the right kernel. I definitely prefer voltage control and it seems to just work best with galaxy S phones. There's also Pimp My CPU but I haven't tried it yet.
You can read about I/O schedulers, but usually the default setting is best. You're possibly not really saving battery with a screen off profile that throttles your CPU. I've seen it postulated that with the phone being able to scale up the CPU when the screen is off, it can accomplish whatever it needs to faster, and therefore get to deep sleep faster (where your phone is consuming the least power). Not really sure if it's true, but it sounds plausible. Also, I've seen that glitch V14 has a deep idle feature, which I think in theory at least, is supposed to be even more efficient than deep sleep. I don't know much about it though or how well it's working on the fascinate.
So far, my battery life seems to have taken a bit of a hit with ICS too, but I'd like to put it through a few more charge cycles before making too much of a judgement.
Hi guys! I've been using Pedja's app for GPU overclocking, but it resets my 3d clock speed to a random frequency. Is there another way to achieve GPU overclock?

HTC underclocked the GPU, which means that it will probably be stable at maximum frequency.

When I decide to overclock my GPU, I can assure you that I am fully aware of the risks and take that in consideration. I haven't mentioned anything regarding max frequency, because I am already familiar of that. And, you don't buy an EVO 3D for talking only, do you? If you do, then it's your problem, not mine. I want to spend some time gaming on my phone for instance and I do not want to carry multiple devices at the same time when I can carry only one. So, if you don't have anything smart to say, better don't say anything. This is not helping me at all.

As I've already stated in the beginning, the "Dual Core" app HAS A BUG WHICH RESETS THE GPU FREQUENCY TO A RANDOM NUMBER! That's why I am opening a thread here, to find out with your help if there's another way to do it. Obviously, it would have been better if I hadn't opened this thread at all. There is an app called Kernel Auditor it allows you to overclock both cpu and gpu for custom kernel
Hello all!
I hope some of you like numbers as much as I do. I thought I should run my handset through a series of benchmarks in order to see just what the dev community has unlocked within this device.
Here we go:
Overclocked to 1.72 GHZ - Governor: Performance
Cubed Kernel 1.2.5
Genome ROM v2
BenchmarkPi:
Average of 5 - 337.4 ms
Best of 5 - 224 ms
Linpack:
Average of 5 - 463.059 MFLOPS
Best of 5 - 510.427 MFLOPS
ANTUTU:
Average of 5 - 18396
Best of 5 - 19270
Vellamo:
HTML5 -- 1737
Metal -- 636
Quadrant:
Average of 3 - 8131
Best of 3 - 8364
These results put the Droid DNA well ahead of pretty much all competition for the next few months. I imagine things will get even better once AOSP Roms make their way to this amazing device.
So - does anyone with a higher overclock have any stats? I would be interested in seeing how well this processor scales.
That quadrant seems low. I've gotten 8254 stock unrooted.

The benchmarks usually don't turn on all the cores. At least that's what I think because I turn all my cores on and all on the performance governor and I get around the 9500's at 1.83Ghz.
I've received over 9k quadrant and 500+ linpack with 1.5ghz. Strangely, powersave gave me better scores than performance (stock kernel)
On cubed kernel 1.5ghz performance = 587

By the way, while my phone is stable on these settings it drains my battery too fast to be usable. I leave the cores set to 1890, but as long as I don't have the setting on "performance" I actually see decent battery life. My quadrant drops into the upper 9k's though without the governor set to performance.

Cheers for breaking 10k but why is your I/O score so low? (I've got 15k+ on the Note 2) Also was expecting the 3D score to be a lot higher on the DNA, kernel doesn't have support for GPU OC? IMO with those CPU / MEM and tweaking 11000-11500 should easily come

True. I could probably have a done a little more tweaking on the I/O score. The kernel used for this does support GPU OC, but I haven't found a tool that I feel comfortable using to OC the GPU yet. That and probably more realistically: I moved on to conquering other things once I managed the 10k score that was my goal.
