I soft bricked my rezound trying to S-off with the wire trick. -___- First time I've bricked a phone and it isn't fun. Right now I am stuck on the Juopunutbear screen and can't do anything in hboot.

Here is what I get in hboot trying this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2141112
It just gets stuck and reboots.
My question: Is there anything I could do to fix my rezound?
I was looking at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1833530 and thinking about paying for an unbricking service (http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/htc-rezound-jtag-brick-repair/).
Would any of these work?
Did you follow the troubleshooting steps at the unlimited.io website?

I forgot to add that my usb port won't work. I can't charge or connect to pc.
You could try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1833530
I think you need usb functioning for the above fix ^.
Perhaps this will work?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2141112
iirc, the poster of that fix had the same or similar issue as you. There's a thread in here from within the last week or so that s/he started.

First thing I tried. I'm just going to replace it through insurance.
I flashed amon ra recovery in the bootloader then the 4.03.605.2 leak in amon ra. My phone is dead right now and I already filed a claim saying I cracked my screen after dropping it.. which I actually did a while ago.
My bootloader still says **TAMPERED** and **UNLOCKED** but hopefully Asurion won't care.

So today I traded my Inspire for an Atrix and the person I traded with gave me an extra Atrix that has some major software issues. Can you please help me and or point me in the right direction to solve this issue?

Have you tried pulling the battery for a few seconds and putting it back in?
EDIT: And maybe try re-seating your SIM card too.
Since it throws you in RSD Protocol mode, just try flashing 1.26 (retail) sbf. Here are the steps and downloads... let me know if you need any other help... and go kick that guys ass for giving you a jacked up atrix!

Thank you I will try this. The guy gave me an Atrix that worked but he also gave me this one because he did not want to deal with it. So I came up pretty big if I can get this device up and running.
Thank you!!!! This worked awesome!!!!
sucks to be that guy lol

Yeah, if everyone is OK with the complications of using a motorola phone, wait till you flip to HTC or Samsung.

Logic would dictate the one on the bottom since it's got an "02" on the end of it.
So far logic hasn't really proved to work with these phones yet... I'm still working on it though. Could be me..
A quick search shows which file is which.
The first one is a fast boot file to get you back to .173.
The one that ends in 02.xml gets you back to .744.
I didnt search for the other file.
.173 is the latest official firmware, so use the first one

My First question is
1. How do I know if i am on the right software and all that good stuff?
I am unlocked and running the latest Harmonia Rom
2. Next question is when i do the following directions and try to run Commandbear i get this message

It's not recognizing my phone and i downloaded the drivers for windows like it said on evohacks but idk what to do with them lol.
So i am lost already before beginning
3. Last question is this wire good enough for the wire trick? I cut a cord up
Have you read through the instructions on the unlimited.io website? You need to thoroughly read the general instructions and the ones specific to the Evo 3D.
One of the first things it says in the prerequisites is that you need to be on a stock ROM and Harmonia is not that. You also need to install the HTC drivers and verify with ADB that they are working ("adb devices" should return the serial number of your phone).
If you go to the prequisites in the EVO V thread I posted for you previously you will see a link for getting S-OFF on that device. You should read through that as well.
If you want step-by-step assistance to get through the wire trick you can try the #juopunutbear IRC channel via the support page on the unlimited.io website.

Easiest way to get s-off is to post in the correct sections, like Q&A or the s-off threads.:good:
Hey I saw somebody post this link in another thread, its for the lazy panda file to give s-off with hboot 1.12.
You have to be rooted with a stock rom.and it works with unlocked phones as well.

Root and S-off are not the same. Root essentially gives you admin privileges, whereas S-off means security is off, so you can flash radios, PRI, etc (it's more complicated than that but I'm trying to keep things simple for the sake of argument). If you need instructions on running LP, PM me.

Try running the ruu again, sometimes it fails midway but shows as complete
Update
I tried to do the same thing and you won't be able to use twrp if you do,
not compatible with the stock rom. On top of that, I tried to run the. 3.15
Ruu and it wouldn't work saying the hboot was not correct, however
both are 2.09.
