[Q] Help I need serious help! rezound won't boot! - HTC Rezound

i did the easy step by step easy noob root guide. then i did permanent rcovery and root. then i tried installing custom rom, when that didn't work i ued the s-on zip on the user guide. when i realized i wanted s-off completely it was too late, i already flashed counterstrike rom 3.1, so i tried jepuntobear s-off meathod ignoring the warning that you must be on stock rom, now im stock on this jopuntobear boot up. so i dedcided that going back to stock by locking bootloader aggain and using android police stock rom on the sd card would save me but no luck. i screwed up big time will someone please help me undo everything and help me get this phone like it was never messed with? all this for gsm capabilities.

Did you flash the ROM again in fastboot?

S-off from ICS

I'm running clean-Rom standard ICS with s-on. I can't seem to flash any other roms with s-on without my phone rebooting constantly. I can't even make a backup of my phone successfully from recovery or Rom manager. I love the Rom and have root but would like to try other roms. How do I get s-off from where I am currently? Do I have to relock my boot loader through HTC and if so what order does this fall in the process to attaining s-off?
Use the toolkit from below link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1696394
no need to relock bootloader and as follow instructions mentioned in that toolkit. You can select any item from list and click button below
Thanks I'll try that when I get home today

If you don't want to go s-off, your rebooting might be caused by failure to flash the GB firmware patch after flashing rom and boot.img. You didn't say, but if you are still on GB firmware (never flashed an ICS leak), you do have to flash the firmware patch each time you flash a rom.
The guide worked, little tricky with the wire thing and all. Wasnt expecting that and had to leave my phone plugged up and go to use someone else's internet to learn about that because the phone wouldn't complete the s off until I did...pretty interesting, but everything worked. I'm not sure if I should have but I also flashed the modified hboot at the end of the procedure.

Yikes! Glad it all worked smoothly! The modified hboot is ok. Now, no need to unlock bootloader so leave it locked.
It sounds like (but you didn't say so) you are still on GB firmware. If you haven't flashed a leaked ICS RUU, that would be the case. If you flash ICS roms follow the directions because you'll also have to flash the GB/SD Card patch or else you'll have problems like you experienced. ICS uses different mount points on the SD card and the patch corrects that for those of you still on GB firmware.

[Q] Help - RUU for AT&T

Can someone guide me on where to get the RUU for AT&T for HOX+? i saw other RUU for different countries but the question is can i use any RUU on my ATT One X+? i unlocked the bootloader and rooted using the all in one kit.
i think i screwed up while installing the elegencia rom. Currently i can go into recovery (TWRP) but am not able to install any rom. Tryin to reboot it says no OS present on the device.
Kind words of advice are highly appreciated.
http://d-h.st/y1Z
And what's your steps in recovery? You flashed boot.img?
thanks for the RUU.
i am a novice with this rooting/hacking process but will try my best to answer your questions.
I installed the elegencia colored rom and didnt like it after 2 days and therefore deicede to to for the elegencia stock look rom. I moved the zip file to the sd card and then rebooted into recovery. I cleaned up all the dalvik/regular cache and then accidently deleted all the system (the rom) was feeling too sleepy late in the night. So now there is no rom on the phone and when i reboot the phone it gets stuck on the htc logo since there is no rom. I tried to install the rom on sd card but it gives me an error message and asks me to do adb sideload.
so i thought that if someone (like you) can help me with the RUU i can possibly go back to stock.
To the best of my memory i did not flash any boot.img.
hope this answers your questions
Just relock your bootloader, and run the ruu...and start over? Hope it helps....
thanks this helped. I am back to stock.

[Q] Flashed without making backup of my DNA

I am S-Off, unlocked and rooted as off yesterday via moonshine (windows version) and got excited last night and flashed a rom using clockwork mod recovery WITHOUT making a backup first (got excited about flashing and ignorantly forgot to backup.) My phone works but i like having my phone as close to stock, except for s-off, unlocked and rooted. I was wondering if there is a .zip or something i can use to get back to stock DNA? I seen a stock ROM to flash but the radio wont flash with it without locking the phone back and i was hoping to get by without locking it. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you like stock, why did you flash a new ROM? Anyway, check out the Android Development or Original Android Development forums, they should have a stock rom posted. If not, ask around. I'm sure someone has a backup they can post.
There are stock rooted ROMs in the Dev forum

[Q] Bootloader unlocked, No S-Off, CWM recovery installed

I need some help on my Verizon Thunderbolt. I did something dumb and need some help. Hopefully someone is able to direct me to the correct path.
I was trying to install a rooted and debloated rom for my device. I just want to use it as a clock.
So I ended up unlocking the bootloader and installed CWM touch.
I forgot to make a backup and wipe the entire device right away. I installed stock rooted rom, it shows black screen after the HTC screen. I just realized that I have forgotten to S-OFF.
Now I was trying to install RUU so I can boot the device up and S-OFF.
I tried googling for a few hours and I could not find stock firmware or RUU. All of them are dead link.
For some reason, I am unable to install stock rom when I booted into Fastboot and have the stock zip (P4IMG.zip <<< I forgot how to spell it). It checked everything but does not show up the menu to let me flash the stock firmware.
Now I have: Unlocked bootloader, S-On, CWM Touch installed.
I would like to know is it anyway flash a working rom (stock gb or any and not dead link) so that I am able to boot up and carry out S-Off.
Thanks,
Appreciate any feedback and replies.

HTC Evo 3D boot restarts/loops etc

Hi guys
Well, where do I start?
I was using Virtous Shooter rom from these forums and it was all fine.
Since a new game came out and it requires Kitkat I wanted to install a custom rom. Funny thing is I wanted to do the same thing a year ago but with no success.
Anyway, I did all those unlocking, rooting and fastboot things but after I got to the cyanogen logo boot it just restarted itself and gone into a loop.
Info:
S-ON
HBOOT 1.53
Unlocked right now
Currently main rom installed is once again virtous shooter but it won't boot. I can only use fastboot and recovery right now
Recovery is Revolutionary but I also used 4Ext for installing Cyanogen 11. I have it all on SD card.
The main thing I am asking you:
Steps on how to revert everything to stock and make it functional. I don't care what it takes, I'll try everything but I just need some direction.
I think I know why Cyanogen didn't boot up in the first place. I had to downgrade my hboot to 1.49 before doing anything else but I didn't...
Please, if you can, help me. I want to revert everything or even better install directly Cyanogen 11 Kitkat for my device but 100% functional.
I am not a complete noob in this so you can skip all those beginner things.
Thank you!!
Okay I fixed it a bit. I succesfuly installed the stock RUU. Any help on installing cyanogen 11?

Bump. Device is working just fine on the stock RUU. I still , however, want to use Kitkat Cyanogen mod 11.
My main issue is HBOOT. Could anyone give me some insight/steps on how to do this?
Thanks

I am in a similar position to you.
I managed to recover my phone with PG86IMG.ZIP and yodas_ICS_deodex.zip.
I am now back at ICS until I can figure out how to get KitKat on, so I can have a go at pokemon Go.
To get ICS back on my Evo 3D (GSM) I applied Clockwork Recovery image via fastboot (but PhilzTouch recovery also works), then told it to apply the above two zip files and it now boots back into ICS.
So at least I can use my phone again until I have the energy again to try to conquer my STATUS 7 issue.
If you are GSM and want my files or links I used to get up and running, please let me know.

Thanks for the reply.
Seems like both of us want to play Pokemon Go.
My phone is working fine since I used PG86IMG.zip. I really don't need files for stock ICS because as I said I managed to make it work at least on it's default rom.
I am still however in mood to get Kitkat rom but no luck so far
