[Q] Europe int. SGS3 boot problem -- SOLVED - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i have new SGS3 and i wanted to flash it to ultimarom but when i finished the initial settings then phone sad that it stopped working and then the phone stop responding so i re-plug the battery and get stuck on boot logo so i tried to go ro recovery but i failed also i had TWRP 2.3 and the initial logo appeared and starts flickering and nothing happened so i tried to reflash it with odin again and nothing happened. Can someone says how should i fix this problem??

Re: [Q] Europe int. SGS3 boot problem
whoa, that's a loong sentence...
when you reflash the stock ROM, what do you mean by "nothing happens"? no messages in the Odin log at all? no way

oh sorry i reflash the twrp with odin not the stock i am still downloading the stock from sammobile. and nothing happened means that nothing has changed from current status and i have noticed a red line in right upper corner

what did the Odin log say?

this whan odin wrote after the twrp reflash
Code:

Re: [Q] Europe int. SGS3 boot problem
okay, so just reflash the stock rom

its there a faster way to download the stock rom because the one i downloaded from sammobile is zip file that i dont know waht to do with but when i tried to uzip it it says bad crc corrupted archive so yeah
EDIT: so i extracted it but didn close it and load the tar.md5 file and flash it and it works so what you suggest me to do to flash my rom? do tha same as before or what thanks for your replies
EDIT2: now i have problem with odin
Code:

read the basics if you don't know how to flash a stock rom.
and there's a thanks button

i eddited the post above yours
EDIT i think i know i accidently instaled kies

[Q] Error when trying to flash stock rom with ODIN

Hello, I am having trouble flashing a stock rom (as I am soft-bricked).
I originally tried the rom from here but that gave me an error similar to the error that the person had in the following thread.
I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433963&page=2 but when I tried to flash the provided ROM it gave me this error on ODIN:
<ID:0/004> Odin v.3 engine (ID:4)..
<ID:0/004> File analysis..
<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/004> Initialzation..

<ID:0/004> sbl3.mbn

<ID:0/004> aboot.mbn
<ID:0/004> FAIL! (Auth)
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
The error on the download screen is as follows:
SW REV. CHECK FAIL : fused : 5, Binary : 3
Not sure what to do here. Can't seem to flash anything with out it giving me some sort of error.
What I was doing that soft bricked me was I successfully rooted and then tried to flash TWRP onto my phone. Now it just boots straight into download mode, or if I boot it into download and cancel just reboots into download mode.
Any help? Thanks!
EDIT: Found another thread after further research. Think I found a working recovery. Trying to flash this. No errors so far. Will get back to you if it works.
EDIT2: Got it to work! I used this if anyone else had a similar issue.

The reason it failed in the first place, just so you're aware and for others who encounter your thread, you tried flashing a firmware older than the one installed on your phone, perhaps from an OTA or just straight up an older rom, and the FAIL (Auth) error is what happens when you do that. You have to flash with a rom version that is the same as or newer than what's on your phone.

[Q] Odin: Stuck at NAND Write Start

Hey everyone
Having read many threads on this issue I would appreciate help for my specific case. I got a defective device from a friend that wouldn't start anymore (introductory Samsung animation was playing repeatedly). I then tried to flash "GT-I9100_JB_ClockworkMod-Recovery_6.0.2.9" to eventually install CM 10.1.3 and then factory reset to make sure the brick bug is not an issue. However, I was not able to flash CWM, because it gets stuck at "NAND Write Start" and eventually fails (see below). Interestingly, I flashed another i9100 flawlessly only a few days ago with the exact same setting. Nonetheless I tried different Odin versions as well as different usb ports and cables.
I have no idea what kind of kernel or android version was running on the device and I can now only get into download mode.
When reading this guide I came across two problems. First, flashing a kernel - some other thread recommended "Siyah-s2-v5.0.1" - was unsuccessful. Second, I wasn't sure if I should try to flash the ICS version mentioned in this thread.
Some mentioned falling back to flashing PIT-files, but because recovery mode is not available, I cannot use the "emmc partition scanner" to identify the correct PIT-file to flash.
I would really like to save this device, so someone else may enjoy using it again in the future. Thanks in advance for any help!
Cheers

[Q] Galaxy s3 won't boot, can go into recovery but no functions work.

Hello everyone
Today my phone randomly went into ***** mode and it didn't do anything when I pressed the home or power button. So I pulled out the battery and put it back in and started up the phone as this wasn't the first time that something likes this happend. But it didn't do anything. It just showed the Galaxy S III logo and that's it. So I tried to boot in recovery and tried to wipe all my data. But it gave like a thousand errors saying: Can't mount /cache/ ... Can't mount /sdcard/ etc... So I tried to flash stock rom with odin. It failed. So I googled about my problem and tried to flash the PIT (don't know if i'm saying it correctly) and it gives this error:
<ID:0/003> Added!!
<ID:0/003> Odin v.3 engine (ID:3)..
<ID:0/003> File analysis..
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..

So after some research I found out about SDS (sudden death syndrome). It seems that my internal memory is damaged and I have to get a new motherboard or a new phone? Is there any way to fix this? As I can still acces download mode and recovery mode (although none of the functions work).
I had cyanogenmod 11.2 M12 on it, so android 4.4.
Thanks!
Try the rescue firmware from general forum, flash with the pit file that thread contains.
If that fails then downgrade bootloader to BLFB first before flashing.
If none of that works then nand is burned out, time for a new phone.
nope, none of the solutions you said worked, guess it's time for a new phone... RIP my $$$

Sudden death didn't be fixed in 4.1.2 ?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Free mobile app
Sudden death was due to a bug in the nand memory wear levelling code, the memory still wears out now -but not so fast.

Odin NAND Write Start Fail on J730G-DS

Some stuff about my device:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-j7-pro/SM-J730G/XTC/download/J730GDXU5BRJ1/238833/
I flashed this ROM quite some time ago:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7-2017/development/cleannouga-romj730f-t3730638
I liked it but I thought about flashing back to stock but Odin (I use 3.12) always fails to write NAND and also freezes my phone to Download Mode whenever I attempt flashing the stock firmware. I searched a lot but nothing seemed to work. I haven't tried the methods used in older versions (e.g. 4.4) so someone might help me link to a working guide or who can help me in this thread.
This is an option that I don't know if it would work. I have a friend with a same but stock device and I plan on flashing TWRP on his phone to backup. Can I transfer that backup file and transfer and restore it on mine? Thanks!
Edit: I dunno if not flashing the latest firmware fails the flash but I'm will try the latest one in case the first one wasn't
Edit2: Okay so I flashed the newly downloaded one but it took too fast (around just 2 seconds) so it probably did not flash everything.

Good night
I suggest for You
1. Copy all files to SD
2. Enter stock recovery
3. Factory reset wipe all data
4. Download Odin
5. Install twrp
6. Flash custom ROM 8.1
7. I suggest Maef ROM or E dos
If this ROM runs perfectly
Alternate with custom or stock
Good luck

Thanks so much. I'd like it to be as stock as it can though so as I asked earlier, is it possible to restore a backup from another similar device? If not, then I'll do everything according to what you suggested..
