Multipdp wakelock also known svnet dormancy wakelock is causing huge battery drain almost 2-3 hours in one charge cycle ( as per betterbatterystats ),on monitoring using cpu spy I found that my phone went to deep sleep only for about 4 and half hours and was running at 200 mhz for 4 hours at night when screen was off .
I am using wanam 2.8 with perseus kernel
Social apps I use are whatsapp, tango , hike , gmail.

PHP:
svnet dormancy
Author(s): sven, credits to Entropy512 @xda-dev
Ranking: n/a
Speaking Name: svnet-dormancy / multipdp (those are synonyms, depending on android version)
Rationale: svnet-dormancy is a kernel wakelock related to cell data transfers - Fast dormancy or not, you get a 6 second wakelock any time the radio transfers data
Know actions: Change the duration of the wakelock (use at your own risk). Reduce the wakelock by reducing the amount / number of data traffic requests
Known conditions of occurence:
Caused by data traffic

But how exactly do you change the wakelock counter time. I mean can we change the 6 second wakelock to 2 second or 3 seconds may be.

[Q] Better Battery Stats Wakelocks

Hey everyone, after three charge cycles my battery only lasts about 12 hours with moderate use (short voice calls, SMS, push e-mail on, Exchange e-mail on, Facebook and Twitter sync on, Flipboard).
I checked better battery stats and I have some wakelocks:
Kernel Wakelocks:
multipdp 47 minutes
Secril_fd-interface 30 minutes
Partial Wakelocks:
Audio Out-1 18 minutes
Can any of you confirm if you are seeing the same wakelocks? How do I get rid of them? My phone is able to go into deep sleep mode but there are times that the screen is off but the phone is active and I'm sure it's because of the wakelocks.
Appreciate any feedback.

multipdp 47 minutes
Secril_fd-interface 30 minutes
are from apps updating all the time (like facebook, rss readers, ...)
you should deinstall all these apps and install one by one to check which app causes the wakelock
Thanks for the advice. I do need Facebook and Twitter to sync and update real time though.
What I did do is disable background sync for my news readers- namely Pulse, Currents, as well as Flipboard.
Hopefully this helps extend my battery life!

[Q] Battery Suddenly Dropping without Usage

So I was on Sensation ROM without any issues. Ran it for months. Could easily go 36 hours with light use - not much drop when not in use (i.e. 8-10% overnight).
Suddenly, it started to drop like 10% an hour out of nowhere. Did this for a few days. I decided to try another ROM (Resurrection), wiped and tried again. I restored missing apps with data (which might be the issue) and it didn't seem to help. Unplugged 2 hours ago at 100%, and it's at 80% already with about 5 minutes of use.
CPU SPy shows 73% in deep sleep, which seems decent and 11% at 200MHZ
Better Battery Stats are confusing to me, but here are the items at the top (red bars showing):
Under Partial Wakelocks - AudioOut shows 4.7%, The media scanner service at 1.5% and some more minor stuff.
Under kernel wakelocks: BT Low power at 4.7%, Secril_fd_interface at 2.9% and multidp at 3.1%
Processes: kworker/0:1, kworker/0:3, kworker/0:2, kworker/0:0.

well the deep sleep should be int the 90's when not in use
looking into ur BBS stats u have audio wakelock and media scanner wakelock
which r draining ur batt thats why its under 200 mhz @ 11%
so please delete data cache of media scanner and also uncheck all ur audio settings under Systemsettings>sound then reboot after that wait for some time by not touchnig ur phone and after that check deepsleep with CPU spy it will be over 90% that ensure better batt life

Have you enabled BlueTooth?
Disable it if you do not actually need it.
Disable GPS, Bluetooth and WIFI when not using it.
Thanks for the help. I checked this morning and the phone is spending most of it's time at (50% or so) 200Mhz when sleeping, so it looks like it's not sleeping properly. I can't find anything called "media scanner" in apps or titanium, so I'm not sure how to delete that cache.
I checked BBS against today and it shows Audio_out as the leading partial wakelock, but how do I fix this? I unchecked everything in audio and rebooted and it didn't seem to help.
Second wakelock is network location active collector. Again, not sure how to fix this (is this location services?). I deleted data under "Network location" in titatium.

clear media storage data using titanium backup
its meda scanner
There is no app or anything called media server in Titanium or in the apps. it seems DRM protected storage and media manager might be it, but i cleared that data and the music disappeared and then the phone eventually froze and would not boot.
Any ideas? I re-flashed the ROM and it didn't fix it. How can this be an issue on two different Roms?
Thanks.

[Q] Wifi Battery Drain on CM 10.1

Hi @all,
since i switched from samsung stock rom to CM 10.1 (M3) there is a high battery drain when the phone is running on standby.
To be sure i'm getting nearly "comparable" results, i flashed both roms completly clean without any additional apps. Google services/syncs switched off, mobile data disabled.
With the samsung stock rom the battery lasts for about 3,5 days in standby. With CM10 the battery is drained after 1,5 days. 12 hours after charging BetteryBatteryStats shows a high number (~20000) of kernel wakelocks for the type "wlan_ctrl_wake" (NOT wlan_rx_wake). As far as i can see, there is no connection to any app keeping the phone from entering deepsleep. However, i only have a deepsleep rate of about 70%. Nothing suspicious in partial wakelocks.
Regarding the battery drain topic, there are many hints on google now, latitude, Gtalk and so on. Already tried those. There's no need to change the wifi settings, because on samsung stock rom everything works fine using the same settings (just about 40 wlan_ctrl_wakes within 12 hours). I'm using Fritzbox 7170 as wifi ap. Some people mentioned multicast/broadcast packages may be a reason for high wifi wakelocks. I traced the network, but nothing of the sort occurs.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Wakelock detector will link the wakelocks to the specific apps

[Q] Battery drain and heat.

Hey,
First of all, i'm on newest Archidroid with boeffla kernel 5.4 on ultrapowersave preset.
And the thing is, when im at home, with wifi, data, sync on + i use 2-3 apps, my battery drain on BBS is really small like 1% per h.
But when i go out to work, where i don't have wifi access, my s3 start to melt battery pretty fast compared to previous version of rom. (~5% per h)
with no usage at all.
PS. i tried to disable FD and finally i left FD enabled, beacuse "in theory" my provider support that. (But honestly, i havent noticed any difference between Enabled or disabled FD, it was transfering data every few sec). I've got greenified all apps that i don't use. i checked BBS log, but i've no idea what is eating that much.
That BBS log starts before i go back to home from work, until now.
I dnt even get that much

Excess battery drain while phone idle

Hi guys,
I am using micromax canvas 5 e481 android lollipop stock rom and custom recovery rooted xposed. For last few days my phone battery is draining a lot while phone is idle. I installed better battery stats which shows zero deep sleep and 99% as awake. But wakelocks doesn't show any culprit. The wakelock detector shows suspend battery wakelock most of the part. But i can't find any such wakelock on net. The stock battery usage shows phone idle as the 40%. I have used greenify, juice defender, power nap, app ops xposed deep sleep battery saver no wakelock. But nothing is helping. Set wifi and location services to off stopped google play services disabled system update services but still no luck. A few days back while experimenting it started to go in deep sleep but again it disappeared and now no luck at all. Can't attach the screenshots as newbie here. I would greatly appreciate if anybody could help. Thanks.
