You installed Google Search from the Play Store, and not from a backup, right? You could try going to Apps/Google Search and clearing cache. I've heard that's worked.
Disable the Hotword detection in setting, under languages and inputs and it will no longer crash.

I had this problem too, and disabling "Hotword detection" worked for me, thanks.
More specifically, it is under Settings-> Language & Input -> Voice Search

Google Now / Search Crashes? SOLVED
I had the same issue in my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 CM 10.1 (JB4.2.2)
My problem has been solved after changing language settings to English (Australia).
I tried the following steps & its working perfectly now.
1. Uninstalled Google search from settings - Apps - Google Search.
2. Open Play store & install Google search again
3. Dont open Google search now.
4. Change Language settings to English (Australia) in Settings -> Language & input -> Language
5 Open Google search now & skip the Now setup at the startup (select May be Later)
6 Go to settings page in Google Search (Right bottom corner) & select voice and verify the Language shows English (Australia).
7. Select Google Now & Enable it by selecting ON.

hi guys ,
i have the same problem
I tryed to do exacly what you say 3 times and no use ? ;
can you guys help ?
koop
libc.so?
I have the same problem, it seems after the last Google Search update.
Before I was using English (Generic), and Google Now with "OK, Google" hotword detection was working fine.
I changed to English (US) to use the hotword detection from any screen, but now it always crashes as soon as it tries to recognize what I say (but saying OK Google still triggers the voice search).
I don't want to disable the hotword detection because that's the only reason I'm using Google Now anyway.
The report's stack trace contains some really cryptic information, it seems from a native library, and I suspect it may have to do with the CyanogenMod nightlies updates. I am using Android 4.4.4 from cm-11-20140806-NIGHTLY on a Samsung Galaxy S II (gti9100).
Going through the stack trace, it first references the file libc.so (from /system/lib/libc.so), I remember also some references to this file somewhere in the nightly logs, so maybe that's the cause?

ALL THE GOOGLE APPS IN ONE PACK
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS -- PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE TRYING
What is gExperience?
Its a pack that has ALL the Google Apps in one single place for which you can select individually what you want to install! This pack not only has the standard Google Apps but also what is available at the Play Store, including restricted apps not available in every country. It also has inverted versions for available apps. It also tries to install all possible apps to /data partition so you don't end up with no space in /system. Finally, you can choose to uninstall undeed files for your language (like Offline Google Now, Pico TTS). All of this fully customizable thanks to Aroma Installer.
What is included exactly?
You can check a list here. Please note that as of now there are some apps not available for install (even though they show up in the installer).
These unavailable apps are:
All Google TV apps (if someone knows where to get them, please PM me)
Google Catalogs (if someone knows where to get it, please PM me)
Google Apps Device Policy
Google Apps Lookup
Google Chrome to Phone (1 request so far)
Google Analytics
Google Authenticator
Google Finance
All Google IME
Google IO 2012
Orkut
Schemer
If I receive 5 or more request for any of these apps I will try to include them
How do I install this?
Just like any script in CWM Recovery. Just select the zip and let Aroma guide you through the rest.
Can I install on my NOT Defy device?
Is my understanding that this script should work with no problems with Bravo and Milestone 2 devices. It should work with other devices as there's no device dependent scripting. Please note that this pack DOES NOT includes FaceLock as it is not supported for my device.
Currently known supported devices:
Defy
Is there anything else I should know?
YES, please be aware that whatever you choose NOT to install will be DELETED from your device (if you have that app installed obviously). This only applies for apps installed with gExperience.
Can I install on top of my full size gapps?
You can, but it can lead to unexpected results. One thing you have to understand is that the app name can have any name (it will not affect the name of the app when you install it). For example, I can name the YouTube apk as "XDAYT.APK". It will install normally and with no problems but there's no way for the script to know the name of the file of every app installed so this script will only install and uninstall apps installed by itself. You're probably better off installing this on a fresh ROM with no gapps installed.
Can I translate it to my language?
Sure you can! Please point your browser here: http://www.getlocalization.com/gEx/
Languages supported:
English (by me) | UP TO DATE
Spanish (by me with some help from edqu) | UP TO DATE
Polish (thanks to trurl3) | 0.2 beta
Portuguese (Brazil) (thanks to GustavoMartins1 / claudiobastos) | UP TO DATE
Hungarian (thanks to hunya) | UP TO DATE
Chinese (Taiwan) (thanks to wjh) | 0.2 beta
Can I send you my calibration_matrix data?
You don't need to do it anymore! Amarullz updated the Aroma Installer and now calibration is not required anymore!:victory:
I want to report a bug! What shall I do?
Try to give me as much information as possible (like gExperience version, device, apps selected, etc). Also you could save the log right after the script finishes. You will see a "Save Log" button on the bottom left hand side.
This is too much for me! Is there a lighter version?
Yes, please see this thread.

Just updated the OP with this info:
Can I send you my calibration_matrix data?
Yes please. I will add it to the installer so you don't have to calibrate Aroma installer every time! Just download calibration.zip and then install it via CWM like any other script (Press Power button on first dialog to select no). After finishing the new data will be written to calibration.zip. Send it to me and let me know which device are you using! YOUR SYSTEM WILL NOT BE MODIFIED. IT WILL ONLY GET YOUR CALIBRATION DATA AND FINISH

Beta 1 notes :
Root - It's disabled by default, it has to be or it's an instant fail on the CTS! (Compatibility Test Suite). Good news you can just turn it on. Either in the superuser app -> settings or in Developer options.
A few more settings have been moved around. It was decided that no "advanced" user settings should be under developer options. Some were moved previously but with the beta 1 release the following have also been changed
Ram bar is now under interface
Media scan on boot is under system advanced options
Advanced reboot menu is now called Secure reboot and is under security.
Reserved 2
Lock Screen 1st screen shot
How do I add apps to the lock screen? I have already enabled it in the settings I just can not add to it. Add items like cam, message, etc... Thank you.

Issues with root access?
So... trying to change DPI settings, it tells me there is no root access. Okay. I go to Advanced > Superuser > Press menu to access settings and make it so ADB and Apps can both have superuser access. I go back to change DPI. No workie. Okay, maybe it needs a reboot? I reboot. Still no workie. Try to toggle the setting a few times and it still no workie. =(
Any ideas?

So, the installation failed for the updated binary. I tried to go into CWM but the app couldn't force boot into it. I'm in CWM now but I can't seem to find the file it's wanting to install...? Do you know where this file is stored and what it's called?
It seems that other superuser apps won't install the updated binary through CWM or through the regular installer. -_- Any idea why this might be?

My home key is not working (default action) nor is the assigned key i setup (long press = menu)
when i press the home key, it lights up, vibrates.. but doesnt do the default action.
I did remove the default launcher in the ROM and i used Apex launcher.. so not sure if that has anything to do with it
i did not have this problem in Beta3.. i did re-flash, with wipe/reset.. and same issue

So, as most of you know, Google released an update to Google Play Services that allows all phones with Nougat and Marshmallow firmware to use Google Assistant. Good!
This new feature unfortunately has to be rolled out through Google's servers. Bad
There is a simple way to force enable Google Assistant on (almost) all your devices, and all you need is root and edit your build.prop
*Please remember that these build.prop aren't necessary because Google will eventually push it your device through the rollout. However, this method just ensures that you get Google Assistant now without having to wait for that happen. So, while it may not be necessary, it can be very helpful for many marshmallow and nougat devices at this time*
Now for the "How to" part:
0. Make sure you have the latest Google Play Services, the Google app, and your device is rooted
1. Open your build.prop editor (I use J Rummy's editor) and add this single line to the bottom of your build.prop-
ro.opa.eligible_device=true
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. Save it
3. Reboot your device
4. Wait for your device to completely boot (I waited a few minutes afterwards, just to be sure)
5. Hold your Home Button and behold this magical moment...
*This method is very similar to what we used to Enable Google Assistant in the past. However, this method works without the need to change your device name to "Pixel" or Manufacturer to "Google" in the build.prop because Google Assistant is now updated through Google Play services to allow (almost) all devices to use it now
-So for nexus devices (6P/5X), this means you get to keep your Auto HDR Camera Mode because you didn't modify your device name or manufacturer name in build.prop.
(changing those names would have taken away those said options from the Google Camera app)
I hope this helps most of you guys out there eagerly waiting for Assistant to hit your device. It worked for me ?

There is a simple way to force enable Google Assistant, and all you need is root and edit your build.prop
Now for the "How to" part:
0. Make sure you have the latest Google Play Services and Google app
1.Open your build.prop editor (I Use J Rummy's editor) and add this single line to the bottom-
ro.opa.eligible_device=true
View attachment 4062532
2. Save it
3. Reboot your device
4. Wait for your device to completely boot (I waited a few minutes afterwards, just to be sure)
5. Hold your Home Button and behold this a magical moment...
View attachment 4062530
This works without the need to change your device name to "Pixel" or Manufacturer to "Google" in the build.prop because Google Assistant is now updated through Google Play services to allow (almost) all devices to use it now
I hope this helps most of you guys out there eagerly waiting For Assistant to hit your device. It worked for me ?

Does the Home button animation work just like it works on Pixel phones?
Edit : I updated my device to March Security update and after two days I got the assistant update without tweaking the build.prop and there is no animation for the home button

Hi... You can manually update it. Download the appropriate version from apkmirror:

Do all of things like the guide, and even flash rom and Gapp again, but i still can not enable GA
This method has been available since Assistant's release.

i see you're french too : do you know how to make it work when your phone system language is french ?
my build prop is ready to get google assistant, but when i got to google app setting, it says "google assistant not available in your country" and the google asssistant setting are greyed.
maybe there's a way to use google assistant (and google app) in english, and the rest of the phone in french ?

I don't need assistance and to be honest, I've never looked into it.
Maybe try to setup the assistant with English language first? And once everything works, try switching system language?
I'd try this way. Maybe open a thread in Q/A section to see if people managed to get it working with foreign system language.
That's great, got it to update now. Will the battery take a hit of the "OK Google" recognition is left on?
I've added the line, updated play services, ran full aroma installer for gapps, still no assistant. Running Alcatel Idol 3 on lineage os 13.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Updated to latest Google play services, added line to build.prop and still no assistant. Root Stock ROM 6.0.1 September security patch.

Right after I installed the March OTA I got assistant. I didn't do anything else. I'm not rooted.

I just flashed the March update and re-rooted, and I have assistant now. Was going to edit the build prop, but apparently the update enables it.

Were you prompted to setup Google Assistant? I just updated to the March OTA manually on my 6p in hopes it would help me get Google Assistant sooner. I understand the two might not be dependent on one another but it didn't work for me. I'm using Nova launcher and when I long press the middle Circle button, it only pulls up On Tap.
No need anymore.... my 6P just got GA live just now.
Do you need root to make the edits? I tried to edit but it won't save the file.

Yes.
I had it working, but the March update has removed it again. I've updated build.prop again and it's come back.

I just ported it for users who wants to use this script
Looks like no one tried this so I am the lab mouse. I have a G920F and was waiting for a stock-like modified Nougat ROM. After a week or two, I went another route -- flashed a stock ROM and used this script.
Since Nougat for Galaxy S6 is not yet out in my country, I used XEF firmware from France. After flashing and without deleting cache/data, it just upgraded my existing Marshmallow ROM and worked just fine.
Then I went to TWRP, did a factory reset and flashed this debloat script. I can say that after initial setup and a day of usage, everything seems to work.
Thx for the script, works good. But after magisk update, it says "no root" in the magisk app. Any ideas?

The new update from Magisk-SU in the Magisk-Manager app works great.
My device is now on N7 with Magisk 12
---------- Post added at 07:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:46 AM ----------
So after some problems, here is my short test of the script:
My device: G925F
My steps.
1. ODIN flash with the new german N7 version from vodafone
2. ODIN flash from the newest version of TWRP (3.1.0.0)
3. Wiped all partitions on the phone (including "internal sdcard")
4. Changed internal SDCARD from S2FS to EXT4
5. Mounted the device via cable to pc an transmit this script.
6. Flashed the script (no errors on the display)
7. Restard and booted the first time in my new Android 7
Magisk V.12 is ready to update via OTA
Here some problems I have found:

I see "Knox-Version 2.7.1" in my Softwareinfo.

I've flashed V1.1, but i have issue with samsung account, it keeps giving me session expired, and i can't login to samsung account.
EDIT :
It appears that flashing the TWRP 3.1.0 through ODIN breaks samsung account, any suggestion to fix it ?
EDIT 2 [FIX] :
I've managed to get it fixed by wiping the data for "Samsung Account" app using Titanium Backup
Does this rom work with S6 G9200 (dual Sim)?
please advise. Thanks

Just use Titanium Backup to wipe the data for Samsung Account.
Go to "Backup/Restore", open "Samsung account", click on "Wipe Data"
Then re-login and everything should work fine.
it worked for me.
After you root Xiaomi.EU on our Poco X3, ctsProfile check from our beloved Google friends get "False" status.
How to solve? Not hard at all.
1) Install MagiskHide Props Config module from Magisk repository
2) Install Busybox from Magisk repository
3) Install Termux from Google Play Store
4) Reboot
5) Open Termux and type: "su" + Enter + "props" + Enter
6) Now you have MagiskHide Props menu open under the terminal
7) Press option 1 - "Edit Device Fingerprint"
8) Press option f - "Pick a Device Fingerprint"
9) Press option 22 - "POCO"
10) Press option 3 - "POCO X2" (our X3 is still not in the repository - X2 works just fine as you can theoretically even choose any device fingerprint)
11) Reboot
12) Open Termux and type: "su" + Enter + "props" + Enter
13) Now you have MagiskHide Props menu open under the terminal
14) Press option 2 - "Force BASIC key attestation"
15) Press option f - "Pick from device list"
16) Press option 22 - "POCO"
17) Press option 3 - "POCO X2" (our X3 is still not in the repository - X2 works just fine as you can theoretically even choose any device fingerprint)
18) Reboot
19) Open Magisk, Select "Tap to Start SafetyNet check" and you should get it all green like I got
Cheers :good:

works for me too! thx!
Working, MIUI EU Rom, thanks!
Worked for me to activate Google pay for NFC.
Thank you!
Is this working for official global rom rooted?
Can someone tell me exactly what version of TWRP are you using( working format data, wipes,Etc) and what EU rom link I don't see on the official page...
Does it comes with OTA( obviously based on global there isn't chinese rom, but there is a stable and weekly) ? we lose L1 right ? ... Good time to start a persist partition backup?
Sadly it doesn't really work finally when you try to pay on a store. I'll leave some screenshots about why this is happening. I tried with various stores and It simply won't make the payment no matter how you try or how you touch the permissions battery options etc
This tutorial only lets you to add the cards successfully to google pay, but you can't pay with any of them on stores. (me at least, can anyone else confirm?)
I'ts pretty sad since I really love xiaomi.eu, but I think that, again, I will have to roll back to stock rom sadly until this problem get fixed at all.
@kralde
- in apps open google pay and delete data
- in apps open google play services and delete data
Then restart the setup in google pay.

Hello,
sadly, this didn't worked as well.
I'm getting the same as in my previous screenshot "Not set up" and "your phone doesn't meet the security etc"
Still have to try to pay somewhere later, but it seems bad.
I guess I'm stuck without Google Pay with this rom.
Thanks anyway all of you for your help!
EDIT: Ok guys, tried again deleting google Pay app, reinstalled it, and in the middle of the set up, it auto closes itself, and when I opened again it was in Spanish (which is normal, since that was my system language, but was on english before) , after that, everything is working! At least it seems so, will try to pay somewhere later
Thanks a lot!!

Good to here you are making progress! Hope payments go through this time!
Well, sad ending for this story
After trying payments in about 3 different stores, the payments just fail. It doesn't complete the payment at all, even showing all the config and etc ok.
I wanna thank you all for all your help.
I decided to move finally to the stock global until this problem is fixed directly in the rom itself (if eveR)
Thanks a lot and sorry for taking your time helping me!
