My phone doesn't start..
"Samsung Galaxy Note II" logo is looping.

Volume Down + Home + Power does get me to download mode though.
I used Odin3 to install stock JB (along with .pit file) but it's still looping...

I tried installing "Whompasaurus" ROM from VanillaRootBox.
If I remember correctly, I wiped/factory reset and system vanillaRB then installed Mod version of Whompasaurus ROM.
After than I installed Full version of Whompasaurus ROM w/o wiping any chache, data, system, etc.
And now here I am, "Samsung Galaxy Note II" logo turning on and off not allowing me to enter recovery mode.
FYI, a glimpse of TWRP Recovery image showed for a short period before bootloop when I did Up + Home + Power.
Now I flashed stock ROM using Odin but nothing's happening...

two things. First I think you had to flash the sd card fix before downgrading. At last that's what the op says for root box. Second what Odin file are you using? For you I would use the full stock jg image. Also pull sd card and sim before Odin and leave out to see if it works

When i plug it into the computer via usb, and open up odin the id shows up for about 2 seconds and then disappears. Please can someone help?
You got bootloop probably from ext4 problem.
Try to get in recovery with keys Then flash rom again if its still there and SD didnt wipe
Otherwise you need to be in download mode for Odin and flash stock

I pressed the volume up and down button along with the power button. Isn't that the proper way to try to get it download mode? Also I have to idea what you mean by "flashing the GB boot loader".
You were suppose to flash GB boot loaders for GB rooms to get rid of rainbows in recovery..
Go to Q&A stickie noob guide and link to "go back to JFD stock" guide.
Should really research and know what you are doing before flashing roms.

Thanks trailblazer11, I've gotten back to factory setting, and thank you everyone else in this thread for helping out.
I am having a challenge.
I rooted, unlocked using odin. I installed Beans v6 and everything works fine. I then tried to install Beans v7 and could not. I tied to install Eclipse 1.1 and could not. Everything goes fine, says successful, when I reboot it just hangs on the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" screen.
I have verified the MD5 before attempting to flash.
I have tried TWRP 2.3.3.2 and CWM and neither work.
I have flashed both radios I605VRALL4 and I605VRALJB
I have wiped everything, before flashing using TWRP, CWM and SuperWipe. After flashing I have cleared cache and dalvik.
I have also tried dirty flashing.
In all attempts it hangs perpetually. I have let it hang for over half hour. I have gone back into TWRP and again cleared the cache and dalvik.
My phone did that very same thing. It was suggested to me to use a different browser to download the roms. So I started using firefox, and chrome. Havent had any problem since.

Okay cool. I'm just thinking your phone is fine and your wireless network is screwing up your downloads because if you can boot b6 then why not b7 it makes no sense. Do you a md5 checker on your PC? If not get one just so we can check the md5. If the md5 is correct you may want to use your Samsung USB cable and a different USB port on your PC of your not using the samsung one already.

I recently flashed the latest Hyperdrive ROM onto my Samsung Galaxy S4 Device. Everything was perfectly fine until I started getting weird unmounting errors from my SD card. I thought nothing of it as my camera still had access to files on the SD card. But tonight after eating dinner I came up to find my phone on the Samsung Custom screen with the lock icon as if it were booting up. I learned that this was a boot loop. So I instantly tried to do a factory reset and the problem arose when I couldn't access recovery. It would show the text in the top left corner then it would disappear and reboot and get stuck in the same loop. When I plug in the charger it gets stuck on this battery icon but it is frozen.
After hours of searching I downloaded the original verizon rom from stockroms.net. After having trouble with it saying PIT not found I realized that it was the USB port. It successfully flashed the original firmware. It then went back into the boot loop. The video I was watching to do this said this could happen so I tried once again to go into recovery. This time I knew the recovery was even back to default (I was using goo manager) as the text at the top left changed. But it once again rebooted and got stuck in the boot loop not letting me into recovery.
If anyone has anything I can do to fix this, I am all ears. Sorry if this has been answered previously but I have found nothing. Trust me. I have searched.
EDIT: I was able to get into ODIN nothing else. I flashed with ODIN.
Were you flashing the stock rom through recovery? If you werent grab the odin flashable images from the dev section and flash that. Should get you running again.

How do I verify the md5 is correct? Also, I'm wondering if the problem lies with it being a nowipe version of the rom. Is there anyway to find a rom that WILL wipe? I can't find any around the forum nor on google.
Google md5 checker or md5 verifier. I checked the link but sadly there wasnt an md5 posted for the file. I would still download a verifier tho they come in handy. There is wipe versions in the dev section. I decided to be nice and I grabbed the link for you. Also your flashing under pda and not phone right?

Hi,
I am trying to flash my S2 using Odin, and no matter what I try I always get the same result.
It doesn't work.
The phone will go in to the mod where I press the volume down button, home and power, but if I try to press up, home and power notkinh happens.
It all started a few days a go when it started getting stuck in a loop, just showing samsung mobile logo and it won't go further than that.
When I start Odin, it recognises the device, starts normally, and then it says Complete(Write) operation failed.
I've attached a screenshot, please help if you can.
If I try adding the pit file then the situation in the second picture happens, it goes on and on and on..
thank you in advance

Flash 4.1.2 stock with Odin. See if it boots up. If not factory reset in recovery and see if it boots. For root flash philz kernel either in stock recovery or with Odin. Like its been pointed out by mb...you will be lucky if you haven't damaged it beyond "flashing something to fix it" repair.
Also why are you using a pit file??!??!?

How can I get it back? I flashed a md5 stock build to my phone. It boots great, but there is no stock recovery. The reasons for this is I did a full wipe when inside safestrap due to some wifi issues that a custom rom triggered. The md5 file inside there is a boot.img but no recovery.img. So I assume the author was too lazy to include that. So maybe there is a way for me to just flash a recovery.img back into the phone? Oh and since im totally back to stock now im also unrooted.

Did the flash of the file you gave. Works , but the stock recovery failed to get on there. Any ideas?
You need to flash with 3.10.6 and select all of these checkboxes with the .md5 loaded in the CSC box.
Auto-Reboot
Re-Partition
FResetTime
Nand Erase All
Phone Bootloader Update
Phone EFS Clear

my bad ! The recovery actually did get on there. I just found out that safestrap make makes the button thing a bit different. You have to hold down power/VOL UP , then when its saying rebooting into recovery you must let go of the volUP key only. Also you can boot into the recovery by inside safestraps menu. All is good! Thank you so much for that .md5 . Its a life saver !
Your welcome!
