[Q] Xperia P LT22i Locked bootloader and rooted - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hello
I need to send my device to warranty, it have a problem in the acelerometer, my bootloader is locked but I've rooted the phone to repair the wireless issue not being able to connect and disconnect wpa networks.
Every posts that i've seen that talks about unroot the phone they talk in unlocked bootloaders, that's not my case, so how can I make the phone stock again? Can i just use the Sony PCCompanion and SUS Repair?
thanks in advance

Excuseme.....I have a little problem...
I did the procedure to relock the bootloader on my Xperia mini pro .. sk17i to use seus .. but the phone will not turn on ..
But the file is also relockbootloader for this phone?
I guess that you have flashed the insecure boot.img, which cannot boot the phone with the looked bootloader.

It was told that you will loose drm forever, so no trackid
That means when we flash the kernel, we loose something from SE ...
Could we make a complete copy of the nand before flashing it for restoring later if needed ?
same
on sues it says, could not find any firmware for your device, but i have relocked bootloader
any ideas
firmware uk
the reason i wanted to use seus was to get the firmware downloaded, so i could root it, because the firmwares on here have foreign apps that werent on my phone when i got it from shop

How can you have OTA files if SEUS is not working?
restore the DRM
Can I restore the DRM keys by relocking bootloader via flashtool?
if I can't do it that way, shall I still hope that it is possible to do somehow?

Nope, DRM cannot be restored at all, if it's gone, then it's gone.

Xperia Ray locked after FOTA update

Hi first of all sorry for my poor english!
i have unlocked my xperia ray bootloader using the tutorial on the official sony ericson website losing my DRM data, and flashed using flash tool the official
ST18_4.0.A.2.368_GENERIC_(1248-9545).ftf file and all worked fine until i done the Firmware upgrade over the air and there my pone stopped working..
i have flashed another firmware but nothing
i cannot go even in the fast boot mode, only flash mode.
can anybody help me? pls
I dont think there is anything you can do. I read somewhere that happens when you unlock bootloader on official website and update it over the air. A hard brick i think its called.

thanks a lot all fixed i was sure u guis can help me,
another question is there any way for me to turn back to official updates and using track id?
Did you even take the time to read the disclamer that Sony Ericsson has on their Developer site?
Known issues
It is currently not possible to unlock the boot loader for CDMA phones.
Some customers with unlocked boot loaders have experienced problems when they are accepting over the air upgrades (FOTA - Firmware upgrade Over The Air). For customers that have unlocked the boot loader, please do not accept any over the air upgrades. For additional information, check out the hints and tips from the community on the XDA forum.

That answers the reason you bricked your phone.
And as it has been answered a gazillion times. NO NO NO NO. You CANNOT restore DRM or Track-ID. There are other third party apps that do the same thing.
Please note that you may void the warranty of your phone and/or any warranty from your operator if you unlock the boot loader. Sony Ericsson can then no longer guarantee the full functionality of your phone, and will not be responsible for any unsigned custom software being flashed to the phone after the boot loader is unlocked. Certain functions in your phone might cease to work, and performance might not be ideal. You might also damage your phone permanently. In the worst case, unlocking the boot loader will cause physical injuries or material damage, for example, due to the phone overheating.

That includes but is not limited to: Official updates(especially ICS), DRM, Track-ID.
I'd recommend you did some research before unlocking your bootloader. It will save you a lot of time and stress.
no i readed all the disclaimer, fully knowing what i was doing. and the reason i have done the fota upgrade was only a stupid mistake i have pressed ok on the notification of update, becouse is similar with the market notification of updates, and i was only wandering if some genius in here was able to make the inverse process of the drm data thanks a lot for evrything.

Hi, I was always wondering then in such case you only shouldn't use OTA updates or does update through PC Companion would brick the phone as well? Do somebody might know the answer?
no the pc companion wont let you update, but if it dose (wich is impossible i think) it wil do same thing.. so update your phone with <flashtool only
Do you try to reflash with the stock rom??

[q] lww and neo v problem?

Hi guys im new here
i have rooted my lww 2.3.4 .62 by downgrading to .58.
How update again to frmware .62.with root access because lww already have ics update?
My freind had rooted neo v 4 months old with bootloader locked. He has issue with the speaker .so he want to take it to sony service centre for repair.but i think rooting void warranty?
Will unrooting return warranty status back?
And how to sony service centre guys know that we have rooted our phone even though if we unroot?
How to solve this issue to get warranty back?
Pleaaaase helpppppp guyyyssssssssssssss
well if were worried about warranty, you shouldnt have rooted it. people say that unrooting works, but then again, sony has professional engineers to take care of its phones, and sort out the issues you face. they would naturally know the "tricks" that developers can do. so its unlikely that people at service center cant know what you've done with it.

1) If you update to ICS, you'll lose root unless you follow THIS tutorial.
2) Repair the phone with PC Companion. This will erase root. Keep in mind that if you installed CWM Recovery you could mess up while repairing with PC Companion as long as I know. In that case, you should flash new firmware with flashtool.
I have flashed stock rom .62 to unroot .now can i get warranty status back?im sending my lww to service centre will there be any issues over it?

bootloader question please help

Dear XDA members,
i received a sony xps from my provider (T-mobile Holland) it was branded.
After a while i began to root and ****, but a couple weeks a go i flashed just an offical 0.73 NL with no brand, and via pccompanion i updated to ics.
right now i am not sure if i relocked the bootloader, this is important for me cuz i want to send it to sony becouse off the yellow tint issue.
i made some printscreen about some info of my sony xps.
Question 1 : is my boodloader locked or not if you dont know how can i check it if it realy is locked
Question 2 : Can i get in trouble for my warranty becouse i changed to branded fw to an unbranded fw wich is just official but is unbranded.
guyzzz please let me know
1.Yes your bootloader is unlocked
2. It is stated on the Sony site that unlocking bootloader may void your warranty.
If you are not sure just try to repair it via pcc,if it's successful that's means its locked or flash the ftf file that re-LOCK it.

hmm after i updated 0.73 to ics via pcc i flashed the relock ftf but as you can see my phone says bootloader unlock allowed (yes) how can i lock this bootloader to make use of my warranty .. right now its frustrating im realy sorry for that

He did.
!= mean that something is not equal, like Allowed!=unlocked means that unlocked is not the same as allowed.
Omg. Noobs. This! And then = means NOT EQUAL.
For example Roses!=Violets, because roses are red and violets are blue... LOL. Hope it helps.
Anyway, it's part of programming, we start thinking that people understand those crazy signs.

as i mentioned before just give me a simple statement if i can send my device for repair yes or no ? if not how can i fix it in order to send it for repair without anny problems.
If you lock it again you will still see that BL unlock allowed =yes
As i say before use the ftf to lock it then use pcc to repair it and send it for fixing.

Update network-unlocked NEO without bricking it....

Hi all,
I have a carrier-unlocked NEO and I was wnadering if there is any way I can update to the latest stock update.
It's been a while I had a notification of an available OTA but, last time I tried to update via OTA I briocked my phone (as described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1353623&highlight=ota+bricked+my+phone) and before I found this link, I sent it to Sony that replaced my phone altogether.
I had to re-unlock the network and now I am kind of scared of updating again....
Somewhere I read that, if I use PC Companion, I can update without any problem, even if I unlocked the phone....
Is that true? Any suggestion?
Thank you very much and sorry if it's a common question, but I couldn't find anything specific for this problem around....
Haha you screwed up with dat bootloader unlock thing xd u can update your phone simple... You dont have to do anything with dat phone... ONLY IF ITS BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED, not network unlocked

use flashtool to update your phone
