Converting Media Audio to Phone Audio - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi everyone,
I have an issue which I have seen in other forums and is driving me crazy. I recently installed a Dice Mediabridge in my car and when I am using it in Sirius mode with the phone connected to it via bluetooth the music will be interupted whenever there is an incoming phone call and won't resume until the call is ended. However, if I am in Sirius mode and using Google Navigation, no such interuption occurs. I would believe that this is because the Nav is considered Media Audio, which is not programed to interrupt the way that phone audio is. Is there a way to trick the phone into sending the Navigation voice audio through the phone channel instead of the media channel? I mean yes I could simply use a separate bluetooth headset in situations where I need to use the Nav to go somewhere, but it just seems to me that this integration should be easily possible but it is not. Thanks in advance !!

I definitely realize this thread is old/dead, but I hate threads that end with no resolution.
What if someone else is experiencing the same or similar problem?
Try AudioBT Plus from the Google Playstore.
The Dev TurboLED may also have a thread here on XDA.
This eloquently solved the problem for me.
Good Luck

“Fake” a bluetooth call with RFCOMM

Hey Guys, I also posted this question on Stackoverflow.
okay, here's my problem: I am developing an app that reads out SMS while driving and therefore connects to to a bluetooth speaker (mono) using startSCO. However, there are some devices (especially car entertainment systems that lack A2DP functionality) that only react on calls.
So my idea would be to initiate a "fake" call (read: send the String with Caller ID etc to the device so it rings) and - if the user "picks up" the call - then send the normal output with the VoiceCall Stream.
As Android supports RFCOMM, this should be possible I guess. However, I can't find any information about this particular topic on the internet.
Would you say it is possible? And if yes, do you have any information you can share with? Like how to initiate the call and so on.
Thanks!

Whether you have code for that?(connecting to mono headset) I am in need of it
Sure ^^

But I think this is SDK8+ only, before that there is a function called AudioManager.setRouting or something like that =)

[Q] Audio output selection while in dock

I want to use the media dock as a simple charger/bedside alarm clock. However, when I plug it in, it disables the Phone speaker. I want the phone speaker to work! I'm using neutrino rom. Is there an easy way to do this? I tried the morrisoft hdmi switcher but it didn't work.
Thanks.

Instead of condescension, why don't you try offering polite advice?
For example: "You should post these kinds of threads in the Q&A fora instead of in 'General.'"
@OP - make sure to post all questions in Q&A. Thanks!
Apologies for posting in the wrong forum. It was not my intention.
As an addition to my first post.... it appears that alarms and ringtones work while docked in the media dock but all sounds considered media get routed through the dock. YouTube, music, and videos all cannot be heard unless the dock is plugged into an external speaker. Anybody have any ideas on how to override this?

[Q] Voice commands not using bluetooth mic...

Anyone else have this problem? I've tried 2 BT headsets (Moto H710 & Blueant Q2) and multiple apps (Vlingo and built in voice dialer). Have no problems when in call or using media with my headsets, but their mic isn't being used for input on commands. Vlingo is even properly playing the commands through the heaset, but still uses the phones mic. This worked fine on my OG Evo 4G. Any suggestions? Thanks!
*Edit* All stock, no custom ROMS or root
Your just pushing the call/talk button correct? I've used both my Moto Finiti and S305's and both respond to the voice commands through the Bluetooths Mic.
Maybe unpair and re-pair Bluetooth? Can't think of much except that there may be an issue with Bluetooth from the general forum. So maybe there's an issue with the software right now.
Edit: I've only tried using voice commands and google search for voice from the phones software, not an app. You may need to wait for the devs to update their apps to have it work with our new beasts.

I'm also having the same issue as original poster I've tried with normal google search, vlingo, and also skyvi with no luck inputting voice through headset and them only working when using through the phone. Any suggestions to try or solutions?
Bump... same issue, out of ideas

Bluetooth lag and connectivity issues

The lag might just be the way all devices are but I felt like I never noticed it before. I notice when I press any button to change or pause songs with any device a 2 or 3 second delay exist. I have bluetooth headphones and have connected it to my pc as well as my car all of varying bluetooth versions. The one issue that really gets me though is my car. I have a vehicle with inttelilink or mylink as it's called on a chvey both are the same. I am running beans rom and have upgraded twice. The issue I experience is that when I get in my car it would find the phone instantly and connect like it should but it would only get the phone portion sometimes and I would have to disable bluetooth and then check media and then phone once I renabled and it was hit or miss if it grabbed them both or just media yet again. If it didn't rinse and repeat till it did. Thinking maybe it was the rom I fully wiped my phone put the newest one on and now it's the reverse issue. Media always connects and sometimes phone audio doesn't. Sometimes both do with no issues. I assume it could be my car but due to the issue switching up once I changed the rom I don't suspect it to be.
As always I appreciate any help anyone is able to provide.
Sounds like it's the ROM. Try a different one. Still running rooted stock here, but no lag with bluetooth: media or phone audio.

Stock headset not working?

Just curious if anybody else is having issues using the samsungs headset that comes with the phone. They work great as headphones, and i can hear ringtones while listening to music. The issue is that as soon as it goes into a call i cant hear anything. When i make a call i cant even hear it ringing through the headset. I have tried it on touchwiz based roms and aokp/cm roms. When i hang up the call, it plays the call dropped tone through the headset so i dont get why it specifically wont play the phone call. I will add that when i plug in my regular headphones i can hear the call but only through one side of the headphones. I just find it weird and very inconvient cause i cant make any handsfree calls.
