my question is does the tmobile USA L9 have NFC??? and is it really 4.7 inches or 4.5 inches cuz i have an S2
and if it doesn't have this features might as well stay with my s2

thanks for the info i was thinking it was 4.7 inch monster like many websites say and that
it had nfc on the battery door but it sucks that it has neither

Yea. International version has the 4.7 inch screen. Dont know why tmobile left out nfc. You can clearly see that the inside of the battery cover has the patched up spot for it.
Battery life is amazing on this phone though. Easily get 4 hours of screen on time without being conservative

POLL: What's the maximum phone size you'd be willing to use?

Where is the "line" for you?
For me, this phone is the perfect size but I was willing to use the S3. I really wouldn't want bigger than that.

Jumbo phones
I think that cell phones in history have taken a weird turn - started out like holding a brick to your face, then they got smaller and smaller, but now all the high end phones are jumbo phones.
Not much you can do when it's packing a quad core processor, etc.
Honestly I think my LGOG is the largest I'd go. SG3 maybe is easier to hold, but is taller. I really like iPhone 5 form factor, but screen too narrow.
I went to local ATTs and played with each until I was sure.
If you told me I would be using 4.7 inch back when I had my iPhone I wouldn't believe you

I can't go smaller now, but my jean's pockets are about maxed out with the OG. I'd go bigger, but I'd need jeans with deeper pockets, ha ha.
I had the Inspire for a long time and loved the size of the screen.
After I got the OG, I was like, Damn that's small..
This is pretty perfect. Other phones too massive for me.
As far as my normal everyday phone use goes, I'm maxed out with the OG. Honestly, it's mainly because I can't fit anything bigger in my pocket without worrying I'll snap it in half. I have and old Galaxy Tab that I love for watching movies, reading, etc when waiting in line somewhere. And a Xoom for certain situations at work

3.7..? Did you mean 4.7 at all?
If not, what phone do you have lol. And what made you come here if you're fine with it? :x
my nex7 fits in my pocket......
I moved from a Samsung Captivate to the LGOG. I "tolerate" the LGOG size for the features and better screen, though I prefer the Captivate for pocketability. I wouldn't go any bigger than the LGOG regardless of features.
I think its 4.7' for me. I don't see a reason for any bigger really. I have a tablet, a laptop, and a 55 inch TV so if I ever need a bigger screen, I have it.
Nexus One
The 3.7 inch screen on the Nexus One was personally my favorite size.
Optimus G is the biggest I'm willing to go. I can't see myself going any bigger.
Don't think I can handle anything bigger than the LGOG E970 due to arthritic fingers. This phone size is still comfortable even though I use 2 hands a lot. Love the screen size due to eyesight, etc. I have 7", 8.9", & 10" screen tablets for bigger screen needs.
With smartphones, started off with 4", then went to 4.3", then to this LG. No bigger for me.

I jumped from an iPhone 4 to our device and I still don't believe how comfortable I am with such a larger size. That said, I absolutely love it and wouldn't even trade for the Nexus 4 at this point!
To answer the original question, I'd say the largest I'd go is probably around 5 inches, maybe 5.5 if I had a chance to hold it before I bought it. I have huge hands, and so it's more a question of what will fit in my pocket!
Sent from my LG Optimus G - I can't believe it's not Project Butter!
I have to say 4.5". I love the LGOG but I think it is just a tad bit too big. Maybe I wouldn't notice it, if the back button wasn't so far away. But it's barely one-handable.

Lucky for me I'm left handed I might go up to 5. My friend has the note 2 and I have to say that it is not comfortable to use. I actually thought that this was too big at first after the first couple of days, but now that I have used it for a while it's just about perfect.

Source please? Also, I can't believe we've come to a point where phones are becoming this large. Can't believe the Galaxy S4 is going to be bigger and now the Note 3?! May as well crank up to 10.1 inch status and ditch the 7, 8, 9 inch screens.
Do a Google search you lazy bums.

This is my problem for waiting for the N3, if this is true. I think the 5.5" screen is the max for me, but I know everything this year will be 1080p. But 6.3" just seems like it is crossing a line of portability.
If it is borderless (the n2 has large border) I could sort of see how this might work but have my doubts. Then again it is currently a 'rumour' so maybe there are some errors in the rumour.
Also, a 16 MP camera seems like a lot for a phone.

Anybody thinking of jumping to the HTC One when it hits VZW this week?

I'm tempted, but my guess is that I'll just end up disappointed that HTC capitulated to Big Red and locked up the boot loader. Other than the far superior design and build quality, neither of which matter to me as much as performance does, I'm thinking there's not much of an advantage to switching over

I'm just curious....How do you guys switch phones? Do you guys sell the S4 for close to retail price (600-700) and then buy a different phone at retail price? I am just curious as to how hard it is to switch phones without losing a bunch of money.
I will be staying on my S4 most likely...even just stock I think the phone works great, but I thought I would ask how you guys do it.

Or you could have a 4.7 inch screen that becomes a 5 inch screen when the buttons hide in certain apps.
Perspective man. And now that we are starting to slim down on those bottom bezels (moto x) on screen buttons will become more and more attractive.

I'm not a fan of on screen buttons either. I see them as wasted space. I actually used GMD Gesture Control on my GNex and set custom gestures from the right and left sides of the screen. You could also root and flash a ROM with Pie Controls.
I'm not sure if AOKP still has it, but the nav bar widgets and customizations would probably be the only reason I'd have a nav bar.

I'd like to have the HTC One for its FM Radio. But to take the place of the S4. Nope! The S4 battery is tiny (for LTE at least). The One has a 2300mAh battery. Not enough for a full day. Plus non removable.
The only phone I would (and am buying) with a non removable battery is the Motorola Droid Maxx (new one) 3500mAh for non removable is great. 2300 in the One is horrible. Plus don't get me started on the 4MP camera. Might be great for low light. But resolution and clarity. Nope.

Oh, also if you hate having people looking at you and saying "WOW! That is a big phone..." or "What is that?" or "Is that the note?" You might want to reconsider. Wait till they see the mega LOL!!!
