Vibrate mode doesn't work anymore - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Vibrate mode on my phone doesn't work anymore. What I want is to just have sound on sound mode and just have vibrate on vibrate. Now however, if I enable vibration in sound mode it will work in vibrate mode too but if i disable it it doesn't and acts just like mute. Sound and vibration option is greyed out in all but sound modes. I tried all I could think of in the settings but cant figure it out.
I run a stock rom, 4.1.2 jb.

I don't really like bumping my topics but I have to since this is very annoying, I often have my phone on vibrate and need to be aware of incoming call/sms/email but it just doesn't work unless I change some settings every time.
I did wipe x x x from recovery but didn't help. (xxx= forgot names right now)

Factory reset or flash stock rom or return to service centre .

I've done factory reset and flashed with stock rom and service is my last option because I hate redoing all the settings, programs etc when phone is reset and just about finished after trying to fix this by doing before-mentioned things :|

I noticed when I have it on vibrate and get IM in skype it does vibrate, but still doesn't for SMS/call.

Ringer at boot and Voicemail Notification

Recently I got a weird problem on my XWLP7 rom, after I checked and deleted a voicemail one day the notification icon wouldn't go away, so I rebooted my phone and at boot it starts ringing using the default ringer the phone came installed with but nothing on the screen and the ringer keeps looping until i open the dialer and dial a number, then I can clear the notifcation and this happens everytime I restart my phone.
I've tried wiping cache/dalvik cache and putting in a fresh Phone.apk its a weird problem and I don't know how to make it go away, any suggestions?
Backup factory reset .
Or flash a new rom .

Hmm ... should be modem-related.
Try to flash another modem (for your region + mobile carrier).
Then wipe cache and Dalvik cache and fix permissions if you have CWM.
Have you changed the development settings?
Or energy saving?
Or have you a task killer app installed?
Good luck !

[Q] No vibrate when using custom ROM

I've tried both the AOKP ROM and SuperNexus ROM, and both times after flashing my phone no longer vibrates for incoming calls/messages/emails.
I've made sure all settings for vibrate are on, and the vibrate function itself works because I can feel the feedback for screen touches, etc, but it just won't vibrate for incoming calls/texts/emails, regardless of my settings.
I installed both ROMs using the exact instructions (flashed back to official Samsung 4.0.4 ROM first, wiped, etc, etc)
Custom always the answer is has vibrate been removed from that rom .

Settings/device options/haptic.....check that out

[Q] Vibration Problem

My Samsung Galaxy S2 is not responding to the vibration setting. Does anyone know how to fix the problem?
Need a lil more info from ya, plz. What are ur settings that u r trying to get working ??
And just in case ur talking about Haptic feedback...it is disabled if u have Power saving mode on.
If ur not talking about haptic, then have u looked in Settings/Sound at Vibration intensity ? Have u tried a reboot ?
Vibration Problem
I have turned up all of the settings in vibration intensity, I have set the device vibration to basic calls and enabled Haptic Feedback but my phone just isn't vibrating period. None of the settings seem to work.
..... And yes I did reboot a couple of times.
It sounds like it could be a hardware failure of the vibrator device. To test whether the problem is hardware or firmware related, if the phone has custom firmware, then perform a wipe data/factory reset and flash back to stock. If the problem persists, then it is very likely a hardware issue. If the phone is currently on stock, then perform a wipe data/factory reset and re-flash stock.

[Q] Klu LT7035-j NO SOUND rooted

OK lost sound about a WK ago after a factory reset, have got it rooted now and I am still on stock rom. A total stock ROM would be nice; however, any knowledge of how the sound on android can be fixed would be much appreciated. Also, I get a popping sound while typing even when turned all the way down; although, it is silent when mute.

In an attempt to fix the sound I have ran into an issue. RKbatch tool error download firmware fail at 97% happens every time. Used plenty different drivers and tools, event the ones with the firmware. Tab is broke with no os or recovery, can get it to show on device manager; however, can not get firmware downloaded, for the following problem.
