I'm running the 80g9 512mb ram with 8gb storage and dual core 1 ghz processor. I'm rooted running serdu perdu clean and fast rom, latest version. The speediest my tablet has been, but still very laggy.

Hello,
I am curious, I have looked around but haven't really found any good or helpful information in regards to this. Although the Xperia X10 has 384mb of system ram. If I move a bunch of apps using Link2sd and free up so much space, is there anyway to increase the 384mb limit, say add another 128mb to make it 512mb thus enhancing the device?
or am i out of town on this one?
buddy our first focus should be to atleast use full 384 mb...
however we are right now only using just 256 mb of the ram.....
if you really want to use more, flash data2sd.zip through xrecovery. but, know that it is slower :S just try using a different ROM, Jerpelea's cm7 is very fast and snappy, a bit buggy for now, but try some other ones, you might find one you like

Wait what?
Data2sd makes your phone slower?!?!

Hey guys I was looking around on some new overclocking information for the ATRIX and really couldn't find anything extra ordinary but I was just wondering, the sgs2 is running the same chip set as the ATRIX but is being overclocked to about 1.5ghz or higher. Why is this? Also why wouldn't all tegra devices be supported by tegrak app?

Hello,
Was wondering I'm not too technical minded with phones but can the ram of a x10i b upgraded from 512mb to higher like 1024mb and up?

The ram is an onboard chip, no upgrades. :-( It does have a Sd card slot that can hold up to a 32Gb card.

Cheers for the reply, was just a question as I'm using doomlords v6 full OC kernel running at 1.2ghz and was wanting more ram to compensate the OC of the CPU so the CPU could run at its full potential OC just as you would with a computer

If you dig around you May find Data2SD. It is a flashable zip file to move the pagefile to your SD card. If you have fast card it may help free up space. I was using it before unlocked bootloader so not sure if helps with oc kernel.

Thanks for that ill have a look about and see what it does

That is what is called zram.
I'm not sure if its turned on, on any of the custom roms/kernels
The dsc kernel is capable of it, but it needs to compiled, turned on, and activated inside a version of Android that supports it.

You can increase internal flash but not ram

Internal flash wony help making fone fast

you cant do much since the ram is embedded into the motherboard..
You can try _nop_s kernel, and enable swap using swapper, but to be honest, there is plenty enough ram.
A better way to manage ram from the off, would be to use something similar to Autostarts and manage After Startup items, many can be disabled, you will need a rooted phone, this can save significant ram from when you start your phone.
For normal use the ram is ok
But for some good games this fone prooves to b laggy

Sure, quite possibly, its an old os. My streak is dead, I have a N7105 now. If there were the drivers and Jelly Bean was a reality, you would have a lag free life, I am sure.
Yes....
All we can do is to wait for ics or jb:what:

Yup,... I would agree with you... I'm also still waiting for a stable fully functional ICS or JB ROM for my DS5. Still loving my DS5, not willing to change yet, still using it on daily basis.
I saw on the Development Forum Section, there are a few kinda ICS ROMs, but it's label as pre-alpha, beta, etc...with some notes on certain functions not work or partial works or works on some DS5.
I would continue reading and understanding what going on, plus testing other stable ROMs listed in http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Dell_Streak_5/ROMs , before trying out those new ROMs in the Development Section I guess, just to be on the safe side.
one ics rom is fully functional except the camera
so if you dont need camera you can go for it
i personally have tried it..... no camera but great rom

So this is probably a noob question, Im new to this kind of stuff. What suitable kernel(s) that support overclocking on my cyanogenmod 11 on galaxy s3 i9300 ? I would be grateful if someone gave me suggestions
You can OC using Googy-max2 or Devil Kernel, they are fully compatible with CM 11.:good:
Boeffela kernel works for CM11. Loads do.
Find one that suits your needs the best. Be carefull of the 200MHz since that may freeze your phone in idle and force you to take out the battery.
I just recently flashed it, I only can get overclock it to 1.6 gigahertz , is there a kernel that can let go a bit further beyond?

Devil Kernel let you OC up to 1.8 GHz, but it is not recommended.
Why? Does it overheat my phone?

Uhmm, it does not overheat your phone, but you'll have low battery life and probably will make your phone a lil bit unstable, I tried it. In my opinion, 1.6 GHz is the best :good:
Hard overclocking is the perfect way to fry CPU. That's why it's not recommended.. Imagine it like a human heart who beats faster than normal. Its life time is certainly decreased ..
