Okay so here's the thing:
I installed clockworkmod 10.1 on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (UK version) the other day it worked fine however it then froze. I turned it off and then when I proceeded to turn it back on I was greeted with a white screen. I have tried to access recovery mode however the same white screen is just shown.
Although I cannot access recovery mode download mode is accessible however when I try to use Odin to flash a rom an error is shown saying

I can't get into anything except download mode!
If you can't may I suggest you try flashing one of the low ship formatted from this thread, it should put you back to your stock original firmware

Your phone is basically screwed mate
stupidly will be met by sarcasm
Have you tried flashing a parted firmware with a pit file?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30087735&postcount=6
If one of those don't work, then I don't know.
Correct me if i am wrong but im prerty sure flashing an incorrect pit file bricks the phone. You can take it to a service centre but its a paid for repair.

have you tried flashing anything with odin or not? if it fails, there is nothing you can do
Yes I tried 4.1.2 one file but it shows there is no PIT partition
so have you tried flashing a pit file?
Okay so I tried everything and nothing worked!
I thought I'd risk it and send it to Samsung to fix.
They collected on Tuesday, fixed on Wednesday, then returned on Thursday, I was amazed!
Thanks for all your replies and suggestions though

This sounds like the .tar file you are using is corrupted maybe. You may need to re-download it.
What file did you download and where did you get it from? What guide are you following?

Yikes. You're lucky you didn't do some serious damage to your phone.
For doing this downgrade, do you need to use the PIT or something else?
Or just the standard ODIN config?
Is just this or more (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278):

Your question is really way off topic.
Are you first sure the .tar is correct for your phone?
You should ask and read the instalation instructions from the developer first.
Had my device replaced by AT&T and came with 4.0.4 and I cannot root it. The non-counter increasing method says it's only for GB so I am left with the Odin method of flashing CWM.
But it's not working. I click start and all it does is say this :

not the wrong version, but maybe a bad copy of it ??
The PC environment is critical to this process, and often times, the files have conflicts..
Temporary shut down of any anti-virus software, HTC sync, etc. will help in the process.
Also, make sure you are using a powered rear USB port on the PC, and the factory cable if possible.
If problems still persist, re-download the files again, Odin included....g

Three things come to mind:-
1) Your NAND is stuffed. Barfing at "NAND write start' is a bit of a tell.
2) When you're doing your Odin flash, are you checking in Windoze Task Manager that Kies/any of its processes aren't running, and if they are, killing those processes ?
3) The rom/kernel packages you've downloaded could be corrupted/damaged. I had this problem when I first got my phone; at one stage I had to DL a rom from a net cafe because every package I was downloading from home ended up with a corrupt archive (files within the zip/tar missing or damaged). Try downloading a rom from a different internet connection at another location/on another network/carrier to rule this in/out.

can u upload screenshot of the odin after selecting the ROM file
After selecting the ROM file? There's nothing special to see yet. Just the PDA is marked. (with the file name on the right.)
And just Auto Reboot and F Reset Time are marked, nothing else.
Maby it is a NAND write issue, what to do about it? And Odin fails with every rom I try. Kernels are just flashing OK.
If the NAND is stuffed, it's a motherboard replacement job. Do what I suggested; download a full rom using a different internet connection.

Usually Complete(Write) operation failed is not a good sign and can be corrupt partitions or emmc failure. You could try changing usb ports (yes this as worked for some people) also try a different version of Odin I have always found Odin 1.85 good. To be honest it's not looking too good.

Only a couple of things left to try:
Try flashing just a BLFB bootloader (search this forum for an Odin version)
Try removing the battery once Odin is connected.
If both the above fail then you have a brick, time for a new motherboard/phone.
