htc evo 3d 4g (virginmobile) disable shutter sound? - HTC EVO 3D

Hi,
I'm newbie to android rooting. I recently rooted to android 4.0.3 using the Stock Deodex ROM and followed the instructions at hZZp://androidforums.Zom/cdma-evo-3d-all-things-root/494212-complete-newbies-guide-rooting-flashing-evo-3d-roms-kernels-using-fastboot.html
My question how I disable the camera shutter sound on my htc evo 3d 4g? It is very annoying when I'm using Google translate app with camera snap feature.
I saw there was a thread about "CamMod v3/MusicMod v3 |Sense 3.6|3.28b" but I have no idea how to install it. I can't post in the cammod thread b/c I'm very newbie.
Thanks so much!

Found the solution from your URL. I'm ashamed of my Googling skill or I'm going blind. In any case, just glad there's a solution. THANKS!!!

Yes, I guess some people don't know the difference between an Evo V 4G and an Evo 4G LTE.

[Only Questions] Need To Root and find CM7?

I just got my 3D today!
Now I am not able to find the best way to root, is there are app or easy way to do this with the evo 3d? With my 4G I would use 4zroot or something like that.
Where can I find CM7?
I really like the 3D part of the phone but cant let go of good old CM7.
And is CM7 fully working? (Other than the 3D pics/video)?
Thank You!
James
What hboot do you have...if 1.50 you're only option is the official HTC method I believe.

All depends on what hboot you have. If it's 1.5, you have to use the HTC method to root, and use the workaround when flashing roms. If you have anything lower than that, Revolutionary should work.

In the dev section, along with all the other roms.

I believe so, check the thread to see.
No. Cm7 doesn't have Wimax or 3D working.
So how do I find out what hboot I have?
phone off - power + volume down

Dang, I have hboot 1.50. . . .
So there will be no easy root and installing of rom's for me?
Not that it's hard, just different and takes a few more steps.
So far this is the best I have found?
http://androidforums.com/evo-3d-all...ms-kernels-using-fastboot-updated-2-20-a.html
Any better ways to root and get a custom rom?
Thinking of trying this rom out.

But really I would like a stock Android rom.

Again, if you are on hboot 1.50, this is the ONLY way to root.

That rom (3.0) is my daily driver, been using it for 2 months now, love it.
But really I would like a stock Android rom.

Then flash a stock rom, or a stock looking rom. There are plenty to choose from.

Because it's annoying having people ask the SAME questions over and over again, when they could find the answer in less than 30 seconds by searching or looking through the guides.

9/10 times you search for something it turns up an answer for a different phone.
Also you see what the question is without going into the thread, why go in it when you are only going to be an annoyance?

Not if you only search the subforum for your phone, or google "root evo 3d site:xda-developers.com"
And that's what the stickies are for as well, at the top of every subforum.

[Q] New to HTC One. I have small question.

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if It's ok for me to flash roms and kernels from the "HTC One" forum instead of the "AT&T HTC One" forum. That forum has some cool stuff I would like to use. Thank!

The rule of thumb here is that you probably aren't the first person to ask, and you should look for it first. Just for future reference.
