Hi, I´ve just bought an used atrix 4g.
It does not work properly and the seller does not want to refund me.
What can I do?
That´s the problem that I have.
Thanks.

The seller got you, and he got you good. You were just sold a device with the infamous "wifi/bluetooth chip fried" problem.
If you paid with paypal, you can file a dispute with them. Other than that, I don't know, since I have no idea how you bought it.

You may remember me, i was one of the first to brick my TyTn. Back in Oct/Nov, i sent it to Germany to be repaired. It never arrived and I assumed it was lost so I bought another one, which I have since sold.
Today, to my suprise, the package was at my door, it never made it and was returned in it's original box. So, because i haven't been following these threads as I didn't have a Tytn, i have a couple of questions.
Have people been able to un-brick the TyTn? Can you buy batteries? as I sold mine as an extra when I sold the new phone.
Anyone want to by a perfect condition, bricked TyTn w/no battery?

You can buy a battery for the PPC/XV6700 as they are the same. Depending on how you bricked your phone it might be possible to fix with some newer techniques.

Where are you from spartarob, the UK? I believe you if you are, with the state of the postal system here at present!
I'll give you a tenner for it if you are interested? I need a paperweight for my desk...

It's been sold. Thanks
Cheap EBAY car charger from Bargaincell.com fried the charging circuit/sync/USB connnector on my brand new 8525. The guy tells me he won't do anything about damages, so I'm stuck needing a replacement motherboard. Other than this my device is in perfect condition, so I'm not looking to part it out either.
If you have an operational motherboard, Please email me at:

THANKS!
Have you tried putting the phone in for warranty?
Well, I got the phone 2nd hand off of ebay (No Warranty). Shortly there after, another ebay product killed it. See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1443395&postcount=22
I would still try and get it replaced through AT&T. I bought my 8525 through eBay and had an issue with it and AT&T still replaced it under the manufactures warranty for me. I've done it numerous times with phones over the years. The number you should call is 1-800-801-1101. It's definitely worth a shot...
Hmmm... I suppose the worst thing they can tell me is "no"...
I'll be damned... I didn't think that would work... A replacement is on the way! Thanks for the idea, TheBrit and ahfunaki!!
No problem, glad to have saved you some time and money...
And the nice thing is too, the phone you'll receive basically is brand new...
Bah... Cingular/ATT sent me a unit with the White screen issue. right out of the box... *sigh* A replacement for the replacement is on the way...

Or charge you for the new phone after they determine the damage wasnt due to a defect. You gotta be careful as they try to find anthing to make your fault. I got a couple boards if interested
LOL Just called them again tonight... Time for the replacement for the replacement for the replacement . The rep tried to talk me into taking a different model in exchange. "Sir, since you've had the trouble with that model, how about a different model instead? A Blackberry 7100, perhaps?" LOL. He didn't seem too surprised that I asked about the Tilt, and it seemed like he checked stock and said that there was none so far. We'll see what happens.
omg.....really>? if i would of known this i wouldnt of opened my phone and voided it....do you guys think that they will accept it?? i got my 8525 from ebay
to ahfunaki:
Can you write all procedure step by step, because I don’t live in USA but I have couple friends in USA with ATT account? I can ask for help but their don’t realize how to do it, because I was send my device couple weeks ago but in ATT local store refuse to help because of ebay purchase. A can call to ATT via skype and organize everything.
Sorry for my poor English.
Good day everyone,
I had an Xperia X10 T-Mobile Contract UK, I sold the phone yesterday on eBay. In the item description, I stated that it was locked to T-Mobile.
Anyway, the buyer received the phone today, and said when he inserts a SIM card into the phone, it displays that it needs an unlock code, I told him to try a T-Mobile sim card and he said it is still showing that it needs an unlock code.
How is this possible, it is a T-Mobile phone, therefore any T-Mobile UK sim card should work, my brother also has an X10 T-Mobile Contract phone and I just tried another T-Mobile sim card and it worked in his.
Now the seller is asking for £25 for an unlock code or full refund, I said I will issue a full refund if you send the phone and I receive it like how I gave it to you and I will issue a full refund, but he refused and said I should send the refund first or £25 for unlock code.
Seems to dodgy to me. What do you guys think?
I know I am asking too much but please help me out.
Thanks.
Something is not right here.....
Anyway proper refunding process is that a buyer ships back the phone to a seller first. Don't refund until you get your phone back.

yes you are right, I just watched this video.
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/resolutioncentre/seller_tutorial.html
and it says, the buyer should send the phone first before I issue a refund.
Thanks.
I bought my Samsung sgs2 2nd hand about 14 months ago. It came with the box and everything so seemed legit. I've been using it faultlessly for about 8 months in the UK. I moved to Brazil 6 months ago and it was fine over there also.
Now I've moved back and it's not working, turns out it's been blocked on the UK networks. It happened exactly 1 month ago while I was in Brazil.
Any ideas what's happened? It seems unlikely to me the phone is reported stolen all this time later. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do about it?
It seems a coincidence that i've been away and now it's not working in the UK any more.
If I can't do anything legit to get the blacklist taken off, is there any other way around this? (PM me)
Did you check your imei number on a blacklist to find out.
Where did you get the phone from originally.
My guess would be you've bought it off of someone who's got a 2 year contract and they have stopped paying it,that's how you could get that timeframe.
That's how I would never buy any 2nd hand phone.
And I'm not sure if you are allowed to ask for help in doing shady stuff on here.
Sent from my GT-I9100
I think the best solution would be to talk to your provider about this.
As other people have mentioned, that's an issue you need to take up with your provider. There is nothing anyone here can suggest to fix this.
Speak to your provider. Thread locked
As above - i bought my s7+ from an ebay reseller and arrived requiring the previous users key. I contacted the reseller who essentially wasnt interested so got my money refunded from my credit card company (so i bought a new one!) so, ive got this locked tablet to which i can pretty well do anything with this one!.....ive not unlocked anything for a few years (my s9+ still works ok but its heading for it soon...)
Happy to be a mule for anyone that wants to try anything fancy!!
Fixed by @hainguyenthao - thanks very much sir for all the help.!
How did you do it? Would appreciate the help. @hainguyenthao
