Hello Folks,
I have done a research on this forum and I was unable to find an answer for my problem. I have a friend who owns an AT&T Lumia 920 who tried to flash it with a Rogers rom. He successfully was able to flash it into the rom RM-820_VAR_AMERICA_CA_ROGERSWIR_SL_BLACK-059Q6W4_1232.5951.1249.0001 which isn't available on NaviFirm Plus anymore. Now, the phone doesn't function and when you try to turn it on, it will not turn on. The only way to get the phone powering on is when you plug it into the wall charger. It will show the Rogers logo for a second and then it will be stuck at the Nokia logo with a red background. I tried to flash the phone with the latest AT&T roms that are available on NaviFirm but everytime I try to do so I get this message:
0xFA001304: Platform ID check fails. Reason(s): The FFU file is not meant for this product. The platform ID of image does not match with platform ID of the device.
Is there anyway I can force a rom into the phone? Or is there an AT&T rom that is not available on NaviFirm anymore but will still work on the phone? It's really frustrating to have to download a lot of GBs just to find out that the roms do not work. I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Problem:
Updated my AT&T u8652 Fusion with a Huawei OEM firmware for a u8650 Sonic phone. The firmware upgrade did not finished all the way through step 2/2 but the phone boots up with the new firmware version identified via "About Phone". I did this without rooting the phone and have not back up.
With this firmware installed: I was able to root.
The problem is that this firmware was made for India - in the folder name is specified as this:
HUAWEI_U8650_Android_2.3_V100R001C151B863SP02_India_Trench
After the upgrade seems that all functions of the phone work, but the radio seems to be incorrect, I can no longer connect 3G, only EDGE, and the cell phone sensitivity is a lot lower than before the firmware upgrade.
==========================================================
I don't mind the u8650 firmware, but would like to get the radio portion to be correct for the US.
I have and identical Fusion that has been rooted with the stock AT&T firmware. I made a Clockworkmod/Rom Manager back up of this phone and installed the back up on the phone in question.
The functionality now looks like AT&T original, but the radio part is still messed up. With boot/system/data updated, the phone now has "no service".
==========================================================
I would like to put the broken phone back to the stock setup, but do not know how to utilize the identical phone to help enable this.
Or I would just like to update the radio portion for the broken phone.
Can anyone suggest some ideas to do this?
Thanks,
Rob

I seem to be in the same situation as you, its an ATT phone, but when I put an ATT sim inside it asks for an unlock code! Did you ever figure out how to get the original radio back?

Thanks for your reply. I could never fully overwrite the India firmware where I could get the 3g working. Since I was within 15 days of purchase at Walmart, I just returned the phone. I ended finding a perfect phone on Ebay for $65 and installed the "Zac" rom. No issues ever since.

Hi guyz,
I have a Nokia Lumia 800 with me of UK region and I dont mean just software wise. The actual phone was shipped from UK and the product code is 059J3G0
Now I reside in India and due to this region differences many of the features dont work especially USSD which is proving problematic since its difficult to even check my balance.
So is it possible to change my firmware to Indian version?
Thanks.
Possible very much, infact I have updated to the latest UK firmware, but will flash it back to the original White Lumia 800 firmware

Yes you can
1) goto seidea[dot]com and start off by downloading the Nokia Care Suit and Data Package Manager.
2) After installation of both also install the WinUSB driver from C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Drivers or C:\Program Files(x86)\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Drivers
3) Connect your phone with the Nokia Support Tool for Store open, this programme will have a launcher in the main Nokia Care Suite, and should have detected your phone, disconnect cable, this might restart your phone, this is normal.
4) Next fire up the Data Package Manager and search for RM-801 in product type, this will return a bunch of different variations of the firmware. In the cell below Name type India and download any of the firmwares you want, possibly to match the colour of your phone as well.
5) After download fire up the Nokia Support Tool for Store, change it to offline mode at bottom right, or simply disconnect from the Internet, from the file menu, select Open Product and select product RM-801
6) From the bottom left pane, select Programming and then Recovery and select the new firmware you just finished downloading.
7) Flashing should take 5-7 minutes and leave the phone un-attended. Voila
Again I take no responsibility for any dammage to your phone, and you may download and flash any firmware from the entire list under RM-801 should not be a problem.
Additionally you may also want to take a backup from WP7 Easy Backup, google it or search the forums for it.
regards
Prateek
mohib.sheth,

Another query is If I do flash to India firmware, will I get update from regular Zune or I will need to keep flashing to the latest firmware manually?
Zune should prompt the update ideally..

USSD is not supported (fully) in Windows Phone so as far as that goes changing to an Indian FW will not make any difference.

hello. i attempted to flash my lumia 920 rm-820 to rm-821 and during the eu rom flash my device gave an installation failure. now my device is stuck on a red screen with white nokia letters. i can restart it by holding down power plus volume down but after restart it shows the nokia boot sign then quickly goes back to the red screen. in nokia care suite it says my device is in flash mode. i have tried to flash rogers rm-820, eu fr rm-821, at&t rm-820, eu dev rm-821. all of them fail at the flashing rom part. i get a "message to device failed" message in NCS. does anyone have an idea on how to get past this red screen? if not, can anyone recommend a good jtag service?

Well it's because your installed rom (in your C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products folder) is damaged or now available for your phone. Well i got that Red Screen thing yesterday and changed the rom. It went all well. Try and tell us what happened pls.

I wrote a tutorial for red screen here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3088924
Sent from board express on my Nokia Lumia 1020. Best phone ever!
Several months ago, I followed the process many on these forums did of developer unlocking my Nokia Lumia 920 via the Canada Rogers ROM. For a while it was great, but I would like to now return it to the AT&T ROM, as all the updates I believe are caught up. Some of my apps, including some Nokia ones, seem to not play well with this developer ROM, and my WiFi is hit or miss at home now, possibly due to this ROM. Is there any way to un-developer unlock my phone?

What is you Hardware Product Code?
The Hardware Product Code is generally inscribed physically on/in the drawer of the SIM card or on/in one MicroSD card), 059.......
I wasn't able to find any numbers on my SIM tray, and my phone is a Nokia Lumia 920, so I do not have a Micro SD slot. Is there any other way to find this number? I was also unable to find it in the "About Phone" section under Settings.

Extra+info:
Value of Manufacturer Name?
RM-820_nam_canada_246
That is the ROM I put on there about a year ago in an attempt to update early. It was originally an AT&T Lumia 920.

I was wrong, the value is that of the current rom, not the Hardware Product Code. But it does not matter.
Normally your Hardware Product Code is ATT U.S.
So just re-flash the present Hardware Product Code, with Nokia Software Recovery Tool ou Nokia Care Suite (Software Updater Module !).
Nokia Software Recovery Tool does not recognize my phone. If I connect my phone after opening the program, it says it was unable to connect with my phone. If I select that my phone is unresponsive, it asks that I reset the phone via VolDown and Power, and try again. This also does not work. Is the Other option, Nokia Care Suite, my only option? It seems intimidating, but I can try it.

For Nokia Care Suite, you have two options:
- Either you do not fully follow the tutorial and you go directly to the Software Updater module.
- Either you fully follow the tutorial (in having taken the right Product Type and the right Product Code).
There isn't a way to do it, I've tried flashing pre and post portico ATT roms, but once you flash a Rogers RM-820_nam_canada_246 you're stuck with it.
I have not however, after moving to 8.1 tried any of the new roms, or know if they are available, but might be worth a try.
OK assuming Etaduck is right, and I have no way of returning to AT&T's ROM, what am I missing out on?

Hi Guys, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. Noobie to this forum as i am stuck with a phone I can't get to work. I just bought a used phone which was made for the US market. It's an unlocked Verizon Galaxy S5. When I first turned on the phone and saw the Verizon logo I was a bit annoyed as I did not think an unlocked phone would have a propietary logo. So I tried to flash the phone with Odin. As I am with Bell Canada I tried to flash the Bell Canada ROM, but it wouldn't work. I tried looking for a ROM that would allow me on the Bell network but I did not find one that would actually take. I kept getting write error and the flash would fail.
I was finally able to successfully use Odin to flash the phone,. SO right now I have the latest ROM for the Galaxy S5 for USA.
Can someone point me in the proper direction as to which ROM i should be trying to get this phone to work on the Bell network and use 4g/LTE? Right now this USA ROM is not allowing me to connect with the 4g network. I can only call someone on wifi, which is pretty useless to me.
