you need to wait to let your computer detect and install drivers while your phone is in fastboot mode. if they dont install then you will have to google for universal fastboot drivers.

Windows is stupid, does not installs drivers (already installed) in pc. It tries to detect over internet for latest WDM drivers and drivers FAIL to load.
Always click this button while installing drivers and wait with patience.

You SHOULD flash custom kernel (e.g rage, krsh) to get cwm, not by using rom manager afaik.
BTW, i think this should be posted in general section?

In your 1st post, you mentioned that you have relocked your bootloader. Are you sure you already unlock it back before flashing krsh? Sounds like you dont (stuck at s.e logo) and how does you go into cwm if your phone stuck at there?
The steps is simple:
1. Unlock your bootloader ( i dont recommend testpoint method)
2. Flash kernel
3. Now you have cwm with preroot!
Edit: seems i missed some point of your original post. Now, you want to relock or want to get cwm? Ive successfully relock mine once but i dont see any point for that since drm is gone forever and warranty have been void. I done it just out of curiosity. Just use the search tool or google.

how to re-lock Xperia boot loader:
Requirements:
1] PC Companion and Update Service installed on your PC
2] FlashTool – Download link
3] Xperia Relock bootloader.ftf –here
Short guide:
Download & extract ‘FlashTool’ on your PC, put the ‘Xperia Relock bootloader.ftf’ file inside the ‘firmwares’ folder, and flash. That’s it.
And Step by Step Guide:
1] Download the files given above in requirements.
2] Install Flashtool anywhere you want but remember the installation lockation (Let it be "C:\Flashtool" )
3] Now copy the “Xperia Relock bootloader.ftf” file that you downloaded above, and paste it inside the “firmwares” folder located at ("C:\Flashtool\firmwares\")
4] Now double click on the “FlashTool.exe” file to run the program.
5] Once the program opens — click on the “Flash” button. (The first button with electric shock symbol in flashtool software)

P768 Bootloader Unlock Guide + Installing Custom Recovery with fastboot + Rooting Stock ROMs via Recovery + Installing Custom ROMs via Recovery
This guide is fairly straight forward, please note; I didn't create most of these steps, I just joined them together from various other threads. This guide assumes you have experience in adb/fastboot commands and offline flashing.
Warning! - Unlocking your bootloader voids your device's warranty. You have been warned.
Make a backup of your data before following this guide!
Required Stuff
P760 V20B or V20C Europe Open KDZ and your choice of P768 V20 Jelly Bean KDZ
KDZ Offline Flashing Tools (see attachments of 1st post)
Fastboot Package (see attachment of 1st post)
ADB + Fastboot Package
CWM 6.0.3.1 Non-Touch
CWM 6.0.3.1 Touch
TWRP 2.5
SuperSU CWM Root Zip
A quick tip for opening a command prompt wherever you currently are in Windows Explorer - Shift + Right Click will add 'Open command window here'. This means you can extract fastboot and adb anywhere on your PC.
Bootloader Unlock
So far, the P768 does not have the ability to unlock the bootloader normally, so to do this, we have to flash P760 software which can unlock the bootloader. Lucky for us P768 users, flashing P760 KDZ doesnt affect our screen like P769 users. It still has problems but we are only using it to unlock - nothing more. Bootloader unlocking is a one time action - Once its unlocked, it stays unlocked if you change KDZ/ROM.
Extra step. If you need to keep all your data before doing this unlock, root with the lelus method and then install the locked bootloader version of CWM and then take a nandroid backup. You can restore it once you have custom recovery at the end of this tutorial. (Thanks to lelus for tip)
Step 1. Flash the P760 V20B/V20C Europe Open KDZ to your phone with the offline flash method. After flashing, you may need to hard reset for the phone to boot.
Step 2. Connect your phone to your PC in LG Software Mode with USB Debugging switched on.
Step 3. Connect your phone to WiFi and make sure you are able to access the internet. Then leave your phone for 30 mins. This makes sure the device is ready to be unlocked.
Step 4. Extract 'ADB_and_Recovery_Images-P768.rar'. Navigate to where 'adb.exe' is stored on your pc and open a command line (Shift + Right Click in Windows Explorer.
Step 5. Check your phone has been recognised by typing 'adb devices'. If your phone is connected, type 'adb reboot oem-unlock'
Step 6. You should have a black screen with white text with a confirmation to unlock the bootloader. Press Volume Up button to unlock the bootloader. Now you will be in LG Fastboot mode.
Step 7. Switch off the phone by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Switch your phone back on.
Step 8. Use Offline flash method to flash back to your desired P768 Jelly Bean version. After flashing, you may need to hard reset for the phone to boot.
Step 9. Once you have P768 Firmware reinstalled, boot and setup your phone.
Installing Custom Recovery with Fastboot
Now our phone doesnt allow us to switch to fastboot mode in the same way that P760 users do. I have found that using lelus's fastboot script, we can switch to fastboot and then send recovery.
Step 1. Extract fastboot.zip and install fastboot drivers by following README instructions.
Step 2. Place chosen recovery into the fastboot directory and rename it to 'recovery.img'
Step 3. After installing drivers, navigate to where 'fastboot.exe' is stored on your pc and open a command line (Shift + Right Click).
Step 4. Minimise the command line you opened, then Open 'start.bat' from extracted fastboot.zip.
Step 5. Select option 1. Switch off your phone, remove the battery and then hit enter. Insert USB cable and then insert battery after 4 seconds.
Step 6. Once you are in fastboot mode, your phone will show a black screen. Switch to the command line opened in step 2. Type 'fastboot devices' to check your device has been recognised.
Step 7. Type 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img' to send the recovery image
Step 8. Reboot by typing ' fastboot reboot'
Extra step. If you took a backup of your data partition at the start. Restore your backup now to regain all data from pre-mod backup.
Rooting with Recovery
Now we have a working Custom Recovery, rooting is easy.
Step 1. Switch to recovery by either using 'adb reboot recovery' or by holding Volume Up + Home when switching on the phone.
Step 2. Install SuperSU by selecting 'Install ZIP from SDCARD' and then choosing 'SuperSU-v1.32.zip'
Step 3. Go to advanced and choose 'Fix Permissions', then Reboot phone.
Step 4. Install 'Busybox' from Play Store and Smart Install busybox to xbin location.
If you took a backup of your data partition at the start. Restore your backup now to regain all data from pre-mod backup.
Now your P768 is free of its shackles and should be able to run custom ROMs. If you are not interested in Custom ROMs, stop reading now....
...We have a customised version of stock ROM, and 2 CM based ROM's which are stable enough for daily use. We also have a PAC-Man ROM and MIUI V5 being developed. We also have a patch to get a few other CM based ROMs to work on our phone, SlimBean and Super Luminal work, ChameleonOS, AvatarRom and PenberRom might work.
Jishnu Sur has made a customised version of the stock ROM which includes little tweaks and extra LG features ported from other LG UI3 phone software - LG G2. Runs great and has aroma installer to select your device during install. - {Jelly Cream V1}
Artit has created a P768 version of CyanogenMod 10.1.3 and 10.2, they work really well and only have the bugs present in the p760 build - no 1080p video recording. 10.1.3 is 4.2.2 and 10.2 is 4.3 {CM10.1.3 Final} {CM10.2}
Artit has created a P768 version of PAC-Man ROM Milestone.1, I haven't tested this one yet. GPS is fixed I believe. {PAC-Man m1}
Artit has created a version of MIUI V5 for all L9's, This is my current daily driver, MIUI is a really nice feeling android experiece.{MIUI V5 Beta 2}
Artit has also created a patch to get CM based ROMs for p760 to work on our p768s. The thread with the information can be found here. Roms to patch SlimBean, SuperLuminaL, Avatar ROM, PenberRom, Chameleon OS.
Installing a custom ROM
Installing custom ROMs is as simple as wiping a couple of directories and flashing the zip file via recovery.
Step 1. Copy the custom ROM zip to your SD card and gapps if needed.
Step 2. Boot into custom recovery by switching on the device holding volume up + home + power buttons or by using a Rebooter app.
Step 3. Take nandroid backup of current ROM.
Step 4. Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache directories.
Step 5. Install ROM zip package + gapps if ROM requires them.
Step 6. Reboot and setup phone.
***Step 4 can be changed if you are only upgrading an existing custom ROM. For this, only wipe cache and dalvik cache and then continue the installation.

Im glad its helped, I didnt think the guide was very clear. Im gonna add details so its more friendly to less experienced people
Edit: If people have feedback for this guide, let me know so I can change/update it.
Nice work with the guide. This is probably the only way to unlock the bootloader on our device. I am working on a way to keep fastboot on the phone even after flashing back to the previous version. Will let you know if I can make it work
I think if you use the fastboot program by lelus , but choose option 5 - flash P760 JB xloader and uboot, it may keep the fastboot by lg? I havnt tried that yet. Wrong

It's not quite like that. You most likely have xloader and uboot form jb p760 on your phone. For some reason xloader and uboot from euro p760 doesn't get overwritten when you flash any other kdz. So there is something else that's needed for native fastboot.

Okay, thanks. I'm out of ideas on getting native fastboot. I'm still amazed that your script works - I thought P768 would never get CWM via Fastboot!
The only ideas I could think of would be to compare the source codes of P760 JB and P768 JB. But I dont really know what I would be looking for.

Im getting security error when trying to acces cmw. Im trying to install it in V20A_00.kdz from telcel. as soon as i flash the recovery and try to boot into recovery (tried with key combination and through console) the phone enters in security error.
My phone just reboots normally when I type "adb reboot oem-unlock"
I have tried unlocking bootloader on many stock jb roms. I was successful only on v20A Indian for p765. I tried v20C, B, D, wen I pass "adb reboot oem-unlock " phone just reboots. This is cos bootloader is unlockable on those factory roms. This is from my experience correct me if am wrong.

- UPDATE -
I've found the files in this chinese forum,
And now it's all working!
Thanks again
Sorry for the delayed response, I haven't paid much attention to the L9 forums since I've had my Nexus 7.
Wow! I'm surprised this guide has made it over to a chinese forum, I hope the translation hasn't caused people to brick their phones!
If people cant access the adb/recoveries package, It only contains a folder with necessary files for adb/fastboot - this can be acquired by using android SDK. The recovery images are taken from the ROM Manager site for the P760. I just made a rar to make the guide a bit easier.
Edit: The P760 V20C KDZ also lets you unlock bootloader, if you cannot find V20B anymore, use V20C instead.
and till no rom for p768 . have a disappointment for lg, too many variants
Worked
This worked for me on LG778 version, I have unlocked bootloader now, had to do an extra step which was flashing the V10A_00 Europe open first.
1) Flashed V10A_00 Europe Open with offline flashing method, then did a factory reset.
2) Flashed V20B_00 Europe Open with offline flashing method.
3) Left the phone connected in LG Software mode with usb debugging, wifi and signal for 20m then run "adb reboot oem-unlock".
It booted in fastboot mode and asked me if I want to unlock the bootloader, then I follow the rest of step of the guide (The firmware I flashed back was Argentina Claro V20A_01)
Will check now if I can get CM10.1 installed

Yup, but you asked the same question yesterday i believe, and also think two days ago. You need an unlocked bootloader to flash kernels, and there are no ways around that.
Is This Kernel Support init.d?

for now it is impossible for LB, but I used this kernel as a bridge to get root and and then relock BL on my C6802.
yes you must unlock the BL first.

Do you have full root with locked BL?
Locked BL for what i read you need stock kernel too....
I tried but i only have parcial root..
Can't mount system as rw...
Yep, was going to say that reflash of stock kernel ftf removes system write (eg partial root) ~ but as @blueether has "suggested" (either here or another thread) the @[NUT] recovery "may" remount and fix this without need of a modified kernel (I'm not completely sure).

this is what I did:
- flash ftf, (EDIT: in my case I boot the phone to check if ftf flashed successfully, phone boot and and wizard setup running, turning the phone OFF, then unclocked the BL with flashtool
- 'fastboot boot 757.img' (not 'fastboot flash boot', jackies one, with vanilla cwm)
- enter CWM, have to immediately did
- flash supersu.zip
- flash this fix (system r/w mount fix
- flash nut dualrecovery (latest beta 119 will be better)
- restore TA with TWRP from kitkat .681 nandroid (restore only Trim Area)
- done.. reboot, still got full root
^^ good work, and nice link @Lc1975 confirming nut recovery does disable rickill

but when i reboot only have red light blinking and vibrate... nothing more...
Maybe because i locked the BL with Backup TA...
had to flash again the ftf...

Sorry to hear that but I don't know whether it is relevant or not.. After flashing full clean ftf (step 1) I boot the phone to check flashtool did the job. It boot and bring to the setup wizard. I turn the phone off and then did second step (unlock with flashtool and then 'fastboot boot 757.img') and so on..

Yeah, that'll happen if you re-lock your bootloader on a custom kernel. It has happened to me a couple of times, and you can solve it by simply unlocking the bootloader again.
^^ to be safe, you can reflash stripped ftf from @[NUT] rom thread to return kernel to stock (instead of relying on a TA backup of what will usually be an old kernel if you're upgrading)

WARNING: this method of rooting voids your phone's warranty
because you can flash system as usual and as it used to be, so don't worry
root with your own risk
this method works for WW SKU(i don't know about other SKU images but you can always give a try if you are on other SKU)
here am posting two methods of rooting
whatever the method it is , all we need is our zenfone 5 to be rooted. right??
one is root process by shakalaca and you can find his post here(use google translate in his page)(you can find the english translated here in the end of this post)
the second process is here as i posted below
make sure you have adb n fastboot drivers, intel mobile usb drivers, asus usb drivers
usb debugging must be turned on(settings-->developer options)
to get developer options goto settings-->about-->build number(tap on it 7times) now go back n u will find developers options
first of all download the bootloader.zip attached below
download SuperSU flashable zip attached below and place this UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip file into your internal storage(lets flash it later why so hurry?)
extract the bootloader.zip and place the extracted files in your adb or fastboot folder(or simply place them in c:\users\xxx )
turn on the usb debugging option(settings-->developer options-->usb debugging)
connect your zenfone 5 to your windows pc
open command prompt on your computer and run these following commands
adb devices(you will see your device serial number)
adb reboot-bootloader(now your device will boot(startup) in droidboot menu
fastboot flash dnx dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin
fastboot flash ifwi ifwi_ctp_a500cg_unlock.bin
now your bootloader is unlocked so that we can flash custom recovery
best part: it is unofficial bootloader unlocking and when you update the next firmware via OTA the bootloader relocks by itself(yep you will receive OTA updates even after this)
my bootloader relocked after OTA update ofV2.19.40.18 n it relocked my bootloader
now i hope u unlocked your bootloader
download this recovery recovery_philz_t00f.tar(attached below)
extract it and you wil find the recovery_philz_t00f.img file
place that recovery in your fastboot folder and run these following commands
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot devices (just to make sure your device is connected)
fastboot flash recovery recovery_philz_t00f.img
give it time to write the recovery( takes 3-4 seconds)
now that you have philz recovery
now run this command
fastboot reboot-bootloader
now your Zenfone reboots to bootloader menu and select recovery option by scrolling down(use volume-) and select( use power button)
u can disconnect your device now and u are in recovery
the recovery is a little bit laggy but works fine
select the option install zip from sd card
select the UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip file that u placed in your internal storage earlier
now you have options to say yes or no.. select yes and let the recovery flash SuperSU
I hope u have flashed successfully
now opt for reboot system now
guess what your ZenFone is rooted Buddy
check it using any root checker app or install any root related app or you can check that SuperSU is working without any error
screenshots????
well attached below for proof
Want to relock the bootloader??
i suggest you not to relock the bootloader coz the OTA update relocks the bootloader automatically
still want to relock bootloader?
read below posts before relocking the bootloader because some members faced problems
here you go
refer to this link
http://www.asuszenfoneblog.com/2014/09/how-to-relock-bootloader-on-asus-zenfone.html
Stuck at USB logo????
WELCOME BACK
here is the solution:
flash this modified stock recovery https://www.dropbox.com/s/xvauuk0tzid1o3i/1.18.40.9_ww_recovery.img?dl=0 in droidboot menu
fastboot flash recovery <filename>.img (filename can be anything or the name of recovery you downloaded from above)
download the last JB update package V1.18.40.10
now goto recovery n wipe data/cache
then sideload the JB update package V1.18.40.10(how to sideload????? explained below)
it will work for sure
after updating wipe data n cache again
now reboot system n go through initial setup n everything will be fine
well you will be on JB now but if you want Kitkat then sideload the Kitkat update package
and follow the root process from the beginning
finally i suggest you not to relock the bootloader because when you sideload the update it will relock the bootloader)
OTA updates are available after rooting by this process
yes OTA updates are still available(even if the bootloader is unlocked)
image attached below to show ota update
i got OTA update of 2.19.40.18_20141003_8008 release-keys and downloaded it n updated successfully without any issues
if you can't find OTA update from your ZenFone 5 then download the update package from asus website
whenever you get OTA update check for ASUS website and download the package from there
here is the link to asus website for downloading future updates http://www.asus.com/in/Tablets_Mobile/ZenFone_5_A500CG/HelpDesk_Download/
there just click on select OS and select android and then you will find the update packages
after downloading the package extract it and u will fing another zip of name like UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.19.XX.X-user.zip
place that .zip file in your internal storage and the system detects it as update file and notifies you whether to update
if it fails then sideload the update via ADB
applying OTA updates via adb
Just download the package from the ASUS website stated above(click on the link)
place the package UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.19.XX.X-user.zip to your adb or fastboot folder
now enter into droidboot menu(power off your phone and hold power button+volume up till you see droidboot menu) of your Zenfone 5 and connect it to your PC
now scroll down(use volume keys) to recovery and select it(use power key) and your phone will boot to recovery
now that you are in recovery(you can see a droid symbol lying down with red triangle over its stomach)
press n keep holding volume down button, press volume up button(press vol+ button while still vol- button holding)
now you will see recovery commands
scroll to apply update from ADB
now open the command prompt on your PC and type this following command
adb sideload UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.19.XX.X-user.zip
now wait for the process to complete till 100%
now the system update starts and HURRAY you just updated the firmware successfully
(if you have installed xposed framework or Lucky Patcher then you have to follow these steps before updating 2.19.40.18_20141003_8008 release-keys)
for those who have xposed installed on Zenfone 5 the latest update will fail
but here is the solution for that
open the .zip package of firmware you have present on your Zenfone 5
for example the UL-ASUS_T00F-ww-V2.19.40.6-user.zip
open it using winrar and navigate to system/framework
find the files core.odex
core.jar
services.jar
services.odex
drag them out on your desktop
now copy them into your internal storage
now use a file manager like ROOT EXPLORER and navigate to /system/framework
delete the core.odex
core.jar
services.jar
services.odex files because these are patched by xposed framework and wont let the system to update
now after deleting the patched files
move the files
core.odex
core.jar
services.jar
services.odex files you dragged from zip package and pasted in your internal storage to the folder/system/framework and change the permission to like this rw-r--r--

for all the four file(now you restored all the system actual files)
now update it using OTA or by ADB SIDELOAD it wont give you any error
i did this and i updated sucessfully
you will lose root access for the first boot but dont worry
reboot your device again and you will get back the root access
happy updating
root process by shakalaca
enable USB DEBUGGING in settings-->developer options
now download this package root by shakalaca and open in your windows pc
extract it and connect your Zenfone to pc in normal mode
do not remove or unplug your zenfone during this process
now double the root-zenfone-5-ww.bat(select tw if your SKU is TW or CHT if its CHT SKU)
follow instructions
now sit back and relax
dont panic during this process your zenfone reboots many times(like 6 times i guess)
and when it says finished just look out for SuperSU in your App Drawer
and yes you are rooted
sorry for grammatical errors(if any)
After done this.. have u done relock bootloader?
Do u think we still can get/do ota/sideload update whenever available later?
Updates:
Well good to know u've removed step to use official Asus apk to unlock bootloader in ur guide. So my reply posted in this thread r no longer relevant bcoz all of it regarding question on that official apk. Glad u finally accept my suggestion not to use that apk since we can unlock bootloader via adb (unofficially), & most important it is safer for our device (by not sending any device id such as imei etc to Asus) :good::good::good:

to relock the bootloader
Extract the recovery.img,fastboot.img and boot.img from the update package and flash them using fastboot commands
it ensures that all system files are flashed back before relocking the bootloader
if you done all above then refer to this link
http://www.asuszenfoneblog.com/2014/09/how-to-relock-bootloader-on-asus-zenfone.html
or here it is
drag out the ifwi.zip file from the update package like UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.19.40.10-user.zip
from the ifwi.zip file drag dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin and drag out ifwi_ctp_a500cg.bin
then open your command prompt and run the following commands
fastboot flash dnx dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin
fastboot flash ifwi ifwi_ctp_a500cg.bin
fastboot reboot-bootloader
It relocks your bootloader
