Does anyone know of a way to remove the Beats Icon short of flashing a ROM that has it done already? The ROM I'm on has it enabled. I've done quite a bit of searching and the only thing I'm really coming up with is the old way of disabling HTC Beats Notify and one way of completely deleting Beats audiio off the phone which involves lots of files in system/bin to be deleted.
MeanBean 3.09 has an aroma installer zip after you install the rom that has an option to disable beats audio notification. if someone could possibly extract that and create a flashable zip, i'm sure it would work on any sense-based rom.

Hey I just wanted to add the notification sounds from Anderoids Aosp rom to roms that I use now and might use in the future. I tried unzipping the AOSP one and moving the sound files to the same location in the Trigger Rom folder but when I zipped it up and tried to flash the rom it just hung on installing update or something. Anyone know what to do? I used 7zip to zip it back up and the sound folder is the only thing I touched. The original zip of trigger flashed fine but when I tried to mod it I ran into problems. Heres a link to the AOSP clone.

If I am running a deodex rom, that is sense 3.0, can I flash customizations such as a transparent Rosie or custom lock screen from a diffrent deodex rom?
Should be able to without a problem unless its states on the mod thread its only compatible with certain roms. But always make a nand before flashing any mods for a safety net incase anything does get mixed up or just to revert if you wanted to.

the suggestions in the first post reply are great.
in addition here are a few thoughts which came to mind: different mods are done on different files in the android system. two mods might change the same file or two mods might change different files. if the two mods both change the same file, swapping that file in and out means you'll only get one or the other version of it modded but might have to find a version of that file with both mods performed on it.
ideal beginner solution would be to at least open up the .zip file which contains the mod and check with file is being replaced on your system. it'll give you a good starting point to gauge from as the more mods you flash the more you'll see which files are being modified.
ideal advanced solution would be to understand how the file was modified and perform the modification yourself .. this takes more time and labor but leads to the greatest control over your system. if you're interested in this route, SteelH has a great list of [HOW-TO] guides in the EVO 3D themes & apps board which detail out the exact place to change code in order to accomplish the mod.
hope that helps!
For those who stayed on Gingerbread or returned to Gingerbread, here's a fully functioning way to get sound enhancements to work.
I got these files a long time ago. I cant find any posts on xda relating to this so im posting this.
Instructions:
Extract the zip file,
Copy files within the zip to their respective locations manually and replace,
Better use X-plore with root privileges, I found it easier.
Sometimes the effects might not work and sound enhancement crashes. So copy the apps{semcmusic and sound enhancements after replacing the libs ,etc and framework }.
You can also try clearing the app data of sound enhancements.
This is my first post, im not sure if this is a duplicate post, although i have done a good search.
Hi all
I'm thinking of flashing my ROM back to bone stock to give it a good clean. However, my brother put DSP Manager on here for me in place of boom sound, but he can't remember how he did it.
I think it might have to do with .so files or library trickery, but I want to be sure.
Does anyone have a working, confirmed method for adding DSP Manager to the HTC Desire 610? I'd love to have a guide with steps or a zip file, and I'll be sure to keep backups.
Thanks.

You could give this a try. I've never used it at all but just a quick look around and this seems to be a viable method for HTC Sense roms. Let me know how you make out.
This took me some hours this evening and a lot of trial and error but I was able to get it working. Note: if you are novice at playing with system files, don't bother to try this. It's not for the faint at heart. I can't provide support. You will also need Script Manger so you can fix permissions after placing the files. You must manually do all of this since we can't flash the zips! Make sure to Freeze the Sound Alive apk with TB also so there are no other music effects apps. Here's what I had to do:
1. Follow the instructions at this post first, extracting and placing files. Just don't reboot yet (thanks @TiTiB): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62365948&postcount=37
2. Download the two files mentioned here in this thread. You only need the audio policy script from the Lolliviper zip file to place in the system folder. Place the others from the ViPER4Android-supolicy.zip where needed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/how-to-installing-viper4android-v4a-t3136025
3. Take the latest Viper apk and place it in the system/priv-app folder.
4. Remember, make sure set all the needed permissions as you go along for ALL files above or none of this will work!
5. Reboot.
6. Open the Viper app, select the driver you want. Reboot.
7. If using Poweramp, you may or may not see the MusicFX control button whether you have it selected in advanced settings or not. I did not see it but it made no difference. Open the Viper app, turn on the settings and start playing music. Voila, it works! Works on my speaker too. Apparently permissive kernel isn't essential to make this work and that is the beauty of all this., because you can not use SElinux mode app on this kernel as some of you may know.
Have fun and good luck, at least you might be able to do this in much shorter time than I did.
One other thing I have found. You must set the scripts in system/su.d to run on boot with script manager so Viper will run after each reboot.
You can also get it to work by the following.
Install xposed
Install Wanam exposed module
In Wanam, under Security hacks
Disable Knox notification (I manually remove Knox)
Disable SEAndroid (changes to passive)
Install Viper4Android and update the driver

I could not get Xposed installed after rooting, tried the latest apk, etc. I read on that thread Xposed has issues with stock LP Samsung ROMs so I just forgot about it. I could have tried placing the files in the flashable zip manually but it didn't seem worth the risk. I'm glad you got it going because that way sounds faster.
