I'm using XT912 in Europe. With original ICS there was no problem with SafeStrap and CM10.1 GSM OR CDMA version (I used GSM). Both were working fine. After update to JB I tried CM10.1-20130313 GSM and CDMA. Both are working, but data! New KEXEC for CDMA is not booting (black screen) and KEXEC for GSM boots fine, but data are also not working.
P.S. I don't have 10 posts so I can't use Development section

hi i have ported a hero cdma rom (the rom is working fine and i can use it for calls etc.) but i cant figure out how to change the mobile settings from cdma to gsm so that i can search for mobile networks.
i hope that someone can explain me how to fix that.
i have ported /system/etc/permissions.
i have pushed the settings.apk from the gsm base rom in my ported rom but that didnt help!!!)

When I try to dial a USSD request (e.g. *111#) it says "you cannot dial this number". Regular numbers work fine. I had the issue on the previous releases of CM 10.1 with the JB kernel and I am still having it with the latest 13/03/2013 KEXEC one. This is weird because there's no such an issue on the Batakang JB-based kernel ROM.

Hello, i want to know which roms i could use the gsm network without any problem in my xt912 from verizon i live outside US. I want the smoothest rom for my razr and aparently CM and aokp are good ones but i'm afraid i couldn't use gsm, i'd like to ask in every post from cm or aokp but i'm not allowed yet to post in development stuff. anyway can you tell me your opinion the smoothest rom , i don't care if is based stock rom or not. Right now im on rage rom is the best one but in the last update is killing my device draining battery and sooo slow and i'd like to try something else and cm or aokp i'd like to try those interesting features.

I live in Ukraine and use xt912 for gsm now. I tried a lot of roms, but all cm/aokp based: aokp, liquidsmooth, carbon, pacman. I tried last releases and/or nightly builds and everywhere gsm wasn't working...:silly:
As for now LS 2.5 is the most of what you can get. And if u'r gsm won't work consider reading this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40420669&postcount=339
This helped me to enable gsm on LS.
All stock based ROMs work for gsm mode. If you need it on AOSP/AOKP based ROMs, see the fix posted above ir you may flash a gsm fix patch.

I'm experiencing the common issue of not being able to send SMS (calls are working and inbound SMS) when using a GSM network on XT912 Verizon. I've tried different ROMs, patches, changing SMSC but nothing helped.
Currently I'm in EU and I really need to get this to work.
So, I'm thinking of flashing an umts_spyder ROM on XT912.
What will happen?

I have tried stock ROMs, 4.4.2 or 5.0.1. Both can switch from CDMA and GSM smoothly (GSM is unlocked). However, when I tried AOSP ROMs, even after flashing the GSM netwrk patch here, it won't work well. The interface of switching network mode is absent. Looks like AOSP has to stay in one mode exclusively.. there is no way to switch between them. Am I right or just hasn't tried the correct ROM? If you know such AOSP, please let me know.
