We have a number of Pocket PCs some sold as “Siemens SX56 from ATT” and some as “Pocket PC Phone edition from T-Mobile”.
We were using them on the internet to read E-mail from Novell GroupWise Web access E-mail.
All was fine until we added 40 bit Encryption to our Web access E-mail at which time all of the Pocket PC’s stopped receiving E-mail. They will try to go to the login screen but just sit there with the little earth icon spinning and then stop with the error ”The page you are looking for cannot be found“.
The GroupWise Web site still works for the people that are using an iPaq or a PC on the internet.
Is there anyone out there that has an idea of what I need to do to get my Pocket PCs working again?

Hi bapglnet,
GW Web-email system uses standard encryption protocol SSL over http. So, you need to use your company's webmail address to login to your mailbox!
If you were using traditional WinMobile email client, then check for SSL connection check box in Accounts->Accounts...->[pop3]->...Next...->Options...
OR compare your email settings with those guys who have iPAQs
FINALLY,
ask your system administrator for webmail login address OR pop3 settings
I very rarely use MMS on my Himalaya, but I still like the feature to be there in case someone else sends me one. I recently received such a message from a friend, and was unable to download it. I am using O2 UK.
Now in the past, I have managed to send and receive MMS on the device, and have not since changed any settings relating to the service. However, when I now open the new MMS and click on the 'Download' button, the device connects to the WAP network, the 'MMS Receiving' icon appears at the top of the screen, and then promptly disappears. The message does not download, and simply allows me to press the 'Download' button again.
Have O2 changed the MMS service in some way during the past few months that would prevent me from receiving messages? I can still send them without problems, but receiving is another matter entirely.
I have tried reinstalling ArcSoft MMS, and reconfiguring the MMS server settings, but nothing I do seems to help.
Does anyone have any ideas, as I'm going crazy trying to figure this out...
Just for reference, here are my settings.

I guess I'm the only one having a problem... :?
I have an @ntlworld.com email address and I have been trying to configure my virgin mails to work on my SGS2 it wont even get past the incoming settings. It just fails to connect to the server and cannot finish the setup...
I was wondering if anyone else is facing the same issues.
I'm successfully using my ntlworld account on my sgs2.
Are you trying to connect when using a data connection? Sometimes the carrier can cause issues but I've only experienced this on sending. I suggest trying with wifi from your ntl connection.
I've set up my mail account manually in the past but this time I think it set up automatically.
Hope you get it working.

hi, set it up as follows:
incoming
USERNAME:
Mine is firstnamesurname (shouldnt need @ntlworld.com here)
POP3 server:
pop.ntlworld.com
Security:
SSL(ifavailable)
Authentication: (plain if using K9, leave as default if using stock client I think)
PORT 995:
Outgoing
smtp.virginmedia.com (this changed from ntlworld.com a while ago)
Security SSL
PORT:
465
tick require sign in
Authentication:
AUTO
USERNAME
Make sure you repeat your full email address for your username
PASSWORD
Google ntlworld email settings and user manual set up. If you follow the instructions then you will not have a problem. Works fine for me.

I have an AT&T Atrix, running gingerbread.
What are the correct settings to get Verizon email going?
The automatic method does not work.
Thanks for any help.

Same problem for me. I think im going to call Verizon and have them walk me thru, cuz my gmail account won't even load my emails, so no point forwarding. If I get the correct settings, ill post for you.

Here is what I have done, that works: installed K-9 from the market.
It does work. A bit over whelming with all the choices and settings.
Gmail works but I do not want to link Verizon mail with Gmail.
I even tried to use the server settings K-9 uses, for the native email settings on the Atrix: That did not work. The settings on the Atrix are different.
Played around interpreting the wording differences.
THIS DID WORK for incoming!!
Verizon server settings that work on my AT&T Atrix:
Incoming server:
incoming.verizon.net
User name: your email name without the @verizon.net
Password: your email password
Advanced settings:
Port 110
Use secure connection: NO
Use secure password TLS: Never
Authentication: Password
Verify certificate: NO
worked!
Outgoing: Still trying to figure this out.
Help me out, or stay tuned!
Till then, I can read incoming only.

So odd, I have incoming working great.
But with different port settings.
My problem is the outgoing.
I love this better than the K-9, or Gmail app.
Outgoing has lost of odd settings.
Most do not work so help me out.
Please

Notice! K-9, free App in the market, will automatically set up your Verizon email account on your phone.
As far as manually setting up Verizon settings on the Atrix:
Be sure to select "OK" or "Yes" after you make changes to any of the settings pages before you exit that page or the changes will not be saved.
I live on the east coast donno if there are different settings for other area's?
My Atrix is stock, but rooted, if that makes a difference.
The method used was trial and error using lot's of other " setting suggestions", until I got the incoming to work. Applied the same method to the outgoing.
Create a test email, send it to my gmail account, wait for either failure notice, or gmail to say success.
If you get past the "Wrong user name, or password failure" notification, do one server at a time till you get it going.
I like the stock android email application a lot better than K-9 from the market.
Just too many settings in K-9, but to each his or her own.
Good Luck! My phone email signature now say's: Verizon Email sent from my Motorola Atrix on AT&T.
Not sure if east versus west is the difference either. Maybe. Don't know. Im same setup as you stock but rooted. I tried the k9 and while it would get my emails, it wouldn't show me all new ones. Always was one message it didn't show and just happens to always be a vip message. Im gonna have to stop being lazy and call Verizon from a separate device. Thanks for all your help.
