I flashed again with 4ext in recovery mode , but now it doesn't boot.It reboots when it says system confirmed... :S:S:
Did you wipe everything? I wipe cache, dalvik cache, do factory reset and then wipe everything except memory card and then flash ROM

I'm on HBOOT 1.53.7777 and i used the GSM version.
If i remember right ( i used the cdma version for a bit) i think you need to be on hboot 1.58 in order for it to boot. I could be wrong tho

**EDIT** after reading the latest posts it should work with your current hboot. If you are s-on then try going to 4ext recovery then tools > enable smart flash
also make sure u do a full wipe of everything except the sdcard and then wipe cache-dalvik too then flash the rom

EDIT : It didn't work for that . do you know any ROM that works with hboot 1.53.7777 just to boot my phone ?
[SOLVED] with PG86IMG.zip.
For those who have same problem as mine , you just have to download this file and put it in the sd card , reboot in to booloader and wait for the "pres volume up/down" thing , update the hboot and than you will have hboot 1.49.
THANK YOU ALL WHO HELPED ME.

can any one help how can i fix wifi error on eve 3d coma
wifi issues are a boot image thing. [hint: flash a kernel]
Try flashing a different rom or use your Nano if you have one backed up.
what kernel will i flash?
Well what ROM are you using and what Android version do you have?
android 2.3.3, htc kernel i have just rooted my phone
You can try flashing the Stock kernel here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1197898
If that doesn't work you can try flashing Synergy which is 2.3.4 here (this comes with a 2.3.4 kernel and the latest build of android):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193948
If your flashing synergy then make sure you factory reset and wipe the Cache Partiton and Dalvik Cache in recovery.
Same with the stock kernel, except you dont need to factory reset for kernels.
thanks for the link i will try it today

Yeah you can use Revolutionary Clock work mod recovery. I been using that ever since I got root with no problems at all.
I've decide to format my SD and install clean rom without any files at SD.
I've flashed the radio, wiped all what I need delvik, chance and data. I've flashed the rom and....nothing! Its stock at the logo of the rom (virtuous eclipse 1.0.0) in my case and nothing happened...
I removed the battery and contacted the SD to the computer and I found out that no file have been created and the SD is empty except the zip rom on it.
Did anyone can tell me what is the problem?
I have rooted evo 3d with unlock bootloader I use 4ext as recovery, my hboot is 1.49.1107 and my radio is 11.25.3504.06_m.
Something very important I had this rom and its works fine, I've done backup and when I'm restore it lots of apps don't work like 4ext when I want to get into recovery its stock and I have to get out the battery....
thank u all
Try restoring your backup and once your booted into your rom go to settings/sd & phone storage and format your sd. Then replace the rim you were about to flash back on your sd. Then reflash the rom.

Are you S-OFF or S-on? In 4ext recovery have you turned on the SmartFlash feature?
Try flashing boot.img seperately using fastboot.
i'm s off
i will turn on the smart flash at 4ext and flsh boot via fastboot and i hope its wil help
After doing all u suggested still nothing work, its stock on virtuous logo for almost 25 minutes :-( something avoiding me to install rom that came lately but the strange thing is that the first ics rom with sense 4 like will's rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1627596 I can install
And just now I've notice that my hboot is 1.49.0007 and not 1.49.1109 as I wrote before

when flashing other ROMs, use a superwipe script or wipe everything manually (data, cache, system etc )......Some Roms wont boot if you havent wiped system.....
Some Roms include a wipe script.

I formatted my SD because I wanna clean SD. I've made vipe delvik and chace trough cwm turn off my evo, removed the SD (I had a 4ext partition on him so I delete her with Gparted )and then formatted my SD. I copy virtuous eclipse rom to the SD and try to flash it and its got stack at the blink logo for half an hour
I removed my battery go to bootloader and flash 4ext recovery, made super wipe and trying again to flash the rom - I got the same result.
I tried to flash the boot from the zip file trough the bootloader and flash the rom again and again the same result.
I decided to try working roms for sure like leedroid's rom, I flashed him and its worked!
I want an ics rom with sense 4 so I tried to flash will1972's rom, its the first ics rom that someone published and get lots of bugs, I manage to flash him and its worked!
I try again to flash again the virtuous rom and got the same result, get stack at the blink logo...
I've done backup of the rom when its work (virtuous) and now when I'm restore it lots of thing doesn't work properly , like 4ext, like restart....
I think that something is avoiding the command to get the hardware and do what she had to do...
I have an evo v 4g on virgin mobile, which is an evo 3D. I had rooted the device and installed the midnight rom. All was well and eventuallly I got bored of that rom and decided to switch to the stock rom. Everything was still fine. Then I decided to install the "king kang" rom. I didn't read the tutorial very well. It warned me not to install if I was on HBOOT 1.5. Turns out I was and I got stuck in a boot loop. I was able to boot into fastboot and then enter teamwin recovery. I attempted to wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wipe all (factory reset), and then flashing the stock rom again. No luck. Still had a bootloop, only now it shows the virgin mobile logo until it restarts. I have also tried doing the wipes and then restoring from the backup I made before installing any roms. Can someone please help me figure this out? I am S-ON and have HBOOT 1.57.
Think you might have to flash the stock kernel after returning to stick ROM, at least I did it to fix a bootloop.

Could you give me a list of steps I need to complete for me to do this? I've tried doing my research but it didn't help. Wouldn't flashing the stock rom automatically flash the stock kernel?
Hello. I am rather new to the Evo 3D. I just finally got it HTCDev unlocked, and it is still S-OFF. I am on h-boot 1.50. I tried using 4EXT recovery to flash both Dirty Unicorns and PACman, but both result in infinite bootloop. I have tried wiping everything: cache, data, and dalvik. I tried from both TWRP (loading it from fastboot) and 4EXT, both with and without Google Apps. Any ideas how to help?

How can I do that? I haven't found any resources for it. I can downgrade to 1.40, but that breaks fastboot when I do it. Should I try an older RUU?

Here is hboot 1.40 Download
download it and rename it to PG86IMG place it on the root of your SD card and reboot into bootloader (holden power + voldown)
It will load it self and say upgrade hboot just follow instructions on screen from there.
That should then the JB room to boot if it keeps bootlooping wipe data factory reset one more time.
*After your done with it delete the file from the SD card using a file explorer or by mounting the SD card to your PC so that when you need to use recovery it doesnt load it self again.

Thanks, but I already solved it. While downgraded to 1.40, I flashed the 2.08 PG86IMG. From there I simply used the wire-trick to get S-OFF, flashed the Revolutionary 1.40 hboot, and now enjoy PACman.
Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my device, i rooted my HTC Desire X, it worked fine.
After trying to install a custom rom it fails, if I try to reboot it shows the HTC white screen after that screen it;s only a black screen.
I tried to boot in recovery mode and it starts TWRP, I installed the boot.img of the custom rom and installed the rom itself but which rom I try the screen still gets black after the white screen with HTC on it.
Can anyone please help?

Do a full wipe again (system, data, cache, dalvik) and reinstall the rom and then install the boot.img with the installer. The installer wipes cache in fastboot which fixes problems with booting sometimes

You are sure you have the right hboot version and recovery? Also, you did install a JB kernel along with a JB ROM? Last, you checked the kernel installer finished successfully?

1. See if you are flashing rom on correct HBOOT i.e JB HBOOT 1.25.0002 for JB ROM
2. if you do not have S-OFF then use fastboot to flash kernels (you cannot flash kernels from recovery without S-OFF)
