same question.. i need some screws to
+1 here, only because when I disassembled mine I '*****ed' one of the PCB phillips screws
Does anyone have a recommendation of where to find replacement screws for the Rezound? I've tried Amazon, eBay, etc. and no luck. I ended up ordering screws from similar HTC phones, but the screws turned out to be smaller. Just about all of my screws are stripped from using the wrong TORX driver... ended up having to use a screwdriver just to get them out to replace the digitizer. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Wow, I've never gone as far as to actually disassemble my HTC phone before. I've disassembled a lot of things like my Xbox 360 or a DS Lite, but never an HTC phone.
But I do relate. Using the wrong screwdriver size can really screw you over (pun not intended). I don't have any idea what screws you need, but I can recommend you something else that you might find useful for any future DIY projects.

That's the last screwdriver set you'll ever need for breaking into stuff. Just throwing that out there.
Really not all that bad bro, Just be sure to use a credit card or something similar to a pry tool when having to separate plastic hinges.
I lost the bottom left screw and I replaced it with a similar sized screw I had.
I always keep small screws for things like this, in an Altoids tin, perfect size to store random screws.

I actually had the "proper" TORX driver sent to me with the digitizer, but they must have send a slightly smaller one because it stripped them to ****. I do have a decent toolkit for desktop/laptop repairs, but I messed up on this one. I figured similar phones like the DINC, EVO or Sensation would have the same screws... nope, smaller.
i tried to replace digitizer and lost some screws
the iphone 4 has t5 screws like the atrix
will the iphone screws fit the atrix ?
why don't you just try them and see if they fit?
becouse i need to buy them from ebay
I doubt anyone here has that kind of intimate knowledge about iToys. You'll probably have to ask elsewhere, unless you're lucky enough that someone with enough knowledge stumbles upon this thread.
I want to install an SD card, but the back plate of the Truesmart... is not possible to remove.
I've used the OEM screwdriver and my own screwdrivers, but I've only managed to undo two screws; the other two are stuck. I think it might be the fact that the grooves of the screws are too flat.
However, does anybody have tips or recommendations to undo these two screws?
There are tiny stickers that say "OK" under a microscope over two of the backplate screws, to prevent tampering and inserting your SD card and having to do warranty replacements. If you didn't remove them first, they are now filling up the inadequate Phillips #000 head slots with plastic sticker.
Throw away the little screwdriver thing it shipped with, unless you need it for stabbing Smurfs.
If you have to drill out the screws, the spare ones shipped with the watch are better quality anyway.

Use a better screw driver. I had to use one of my precision screw drivers to get sufficient grip on the screws to unscrew them.

Be a bit careful, though, because one of my Sim card Compartment screws was way tight and I used a proper screw driver--and the screw sheared leaving about 1 mm stub in the bottom of the screw thread hole--at least, that is what I think must have happened since the screw in question is now about 1 mm shorter than the other.
I have written a nice letter to Omate, and got an initial reply--but, it's anyone's guess what their remedy will be?? Not a replacement watch I am sure.
Drilling and tapping screws that small is not possible--at least not by me.
I ended up having to apply heat to the screws in the sim cover to remove them. Intresting enough, there was no sign of threadlocking agent when the screws finally came out.
What exact kind of Screwdriver do you need?
I have problems with the standard one that came with the TS. No I want to buy a better one from Amazon or hardware-store.
I have the same issue, the screwdriver that came with the TS is pretty much useless. I was able to remove just one screw and the rest did not budge...
I am really disappointed with the design flaws of this device.
Yep, stock screwdriver is a POS.

The driver I used is marked P0 - and i think it is this:

I think I bought mine in Tesco, it's pretty handy and better quality than I expected.
Hello, My N6 finally blew its battery. Swelled up badly. I can find plenty of battery.
I have watched all the videos. Seems like an easy project compared to other phones.
The back is already off.
What I am worried about is all the comments about stripped screws from cheap screwdrivers. It seems the screws are an odd size. T3-2.3MM.
I have searched and searched. I can not find a T3 torx screwdriver for 2.3MM?
Am I missing something? I just want to make sure I get a good one. Yes, I have to end w question. Does anyone know where I can purchase a good screwdriver to work with? Thank you in advance.
