got a galaxy tab p-1000 from my uncle, he said he rooted it and he couldn't install cyanogen mod 9 on it
he gave it me , i got the point that while in the recovery mode it gave the "Disk partition (E) error "
though i cleared dalvik cache , disk partition, did a hard reset using odin and many more but this error never got faded away...................I've tried my best but this is pissing me off !!
(in short plz help me out)

you need to re-flash the ROM on your phone.
do the following:
*Boot into recovery
*wipe Factory reset
*wipe boot
*wipe system
*wipe dalvik cache
*Flash your ROM again
IF NEEDED Flash gapps
*Then do a reboot
Problem should be fixed

wipe everything that your recovery lets you, then see if its fixed and if the dosnt help then im 60% sure that your phones internal storage is F**ked up
i say 60% sure because it could be the recovery itself thats broken, not the phone.
Hello everyone i am from INDIA 2 days back me updated my phone to 4.1.2 and then rooted my phone. Today in the morning when i was installing some apps my phone got hanged and when i restart it the phone showing me only 'Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000' screen and nothing happen after that no homescreen nothing then i have done few step to get my phone working
1 -> removed my sim card and memory card
2 -> wipe cache partition
3 -> wipe data/ factory reset
4 -> wiped everything
Main error when i get when i push volume up + power + menu and when i wiped all data i get this error -> E: failed to mount exfat /dev/block/mmcblklpl /sdcard
But again when i start my phone only 'Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N700' screen appear and nothing else my phone stuck on it
Also :-> My phone version was 4.1.2 and was rooted with the help of following setup
1-> PhilZ-cwm6-XXLSC-XJB-3.99.tar
2-> Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox_1.20.2-Update1-signed

Odin fails to complete task
At the end of procedure, it shows Fail in red colour box, as well log says all threads completed (success 0/ failed 1)

I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Prevail II with Framaroot-1.9.3.apk, granted SuperSU, then chose Gandalph option.
After rooting, I used Odin 1.85 to install recovery CWM_Prevail2_Ring_Koumajutsu.
It would not boot all the way. It would get to the second Samsung logo and flash it on the screen. I waited for an hr. It never booted.
I tried to install SPH-M840_MH5_Stock, that has bloatware removed. Still fail.
So I was frantic and started formatting data and cache cuz it said "can't mount data (or cache).
Then I saw a mounting option. So I mounted everything it would let me.
That got rid of the "can't mount" errors, but it would show a yeild sign below the first Samsung logo.
And when I try to restart from recovery, it says no root and does the yeild sign. And the whole time I have been working on it, since I flashed the recovery, it says "can't find /tmp/recovery".
So. I think for the no root error, formatting it, removed root...
HELP PLEASE!!!

Hello! I am newbie to this forum. I need a help. My Device is ALPS M8. few days back i tried to flash my phone and tried install a stockrom using SP Flash Tool. I clicked on Format "Format=> Whole Flash." Then i clicked Download and Flashed the rom. after that my phone shows Encryption Unsuccessful. it says to Reset Phone (Picture Attached Below) . Then i click on Reset Phone. but it can't reset and wipe the data. it shows Mount/ data error (Picture Attached Below). Now Please Help me to Fix it. I've been searching a solution for a month but i'm failed. Respectful Experts please help me!

So i have done something terrible wrong.
Was rooting my phone... worked well but i cant install apps as system app. It always told me that it cant mount.
After i saw something on youtube to solve this kind of problem i went to revovery in TWRP under wipe > advanced wipe, checked "system" and clicked to repair or change file system > change file system. I than chosed FAT and rebooted.... result is that im now in a loop of the Galaxy s7 Edge logo because the filesystem of the system is wrong? Dont know what to do... i changed it already to EXT4 and F2FS but its always the loop
Now i cant even enter twrp anymore (it stucks on the logoscreen)
When i try to do anything via odin it tells me FAIL! (Device Info) ... is there anything i can do right now? or did i killed my phone
im realy desperate, i pray that its not hopeless right now

Fixed it with this:
The fail pops up when i insert the rom only in AP... i guess i messed it too much up for only this.... when i set it as the screenshot is showing it works ... thank god xD
