Alright, so here's the issue.
I launch Facebook:
It tries to load. Can't. Quits to launcher saying Facebook has stopped. I press OK. A few seconds later "Exchange Service has stopped" I press OK, few seconds later "Exchange Service has stopped" again. Now, when I try sending a text, nothing happens. I send the message and there's no sending arrow (GOSMS). I tested it w/ Google Voice, and the text doesn't get sent. I sent myself a text using GV again and I get "Messenger has stopped" w/ no text being received on the phone, but Mighty Text registers the text as being received.
I try to uninstall Facebook (From both fresh-restart and after I try to run it):
My launcher stops working "Nova Launcher has stopped" Hit ok. "messenger has stopped." hit ok. com.google.process.gapps has stopped. At this point that message keeps repeating, and if I keep hitting okay my phone restarts and gets stuck in a boot loop. Have to remove the battery to boot correctly.
Facebook is the only thing causing this to happen. If I don't launch or try and uninstall FB, there's no issue with the phone at all. This happened to a different rom as well. I think it might be my backup, as I restored the apk using Titanium. Right now I'm running the latest AOKP.
Is there a way to log what's actually going on, and see what's causing this? I think it may have something to do with the "sync contacts" option in my exchange account conflicting w/ Facebook's sync contact info (of existing contacts only) option... Taking a wild guess at that. Not 100% sure.
As for now I'm switching over to TinFoil and using that.

HTC Thunderbolt - I am having problems where the messaging app keeps crashing when I have a large number of SMS messages in there. I have about 5000 SMS messages restored from my old phone, but when loaded the stock messaging app will load very slowly. Eventually (after opening the app once or twice), it will force close every time that I open the app. Sometimes it will open, but it won't display any of my messages, and then just force close.
This happens with both the stock messaging app and something like Handcent, so it leads me to believe that it is something with the Messaging store. I get no problems if I start with no messages, and have only like 100 in there.
I've restarted and did a factory reset. Same problems. Anyone else having the problem with a large number of SMS messages?
So, I upgraded to HKTW 2.3.4 and went through TiBu to debloat a bit.
To my frustration, every time I open a contact, I get a FC for contact manager:
"android process com.motorola.contacts has stopped working"
Thinking it was the beta build, I reflashed several times. Turns out its certain apps in TiBu that cause it. Now of course, I didn't freeze "contacts" or anything obvious.. but I froze the following that caused the error (I did one by one to see what it was):
Ypmobile
Yahoo mail authenticator
I have no yahoo mail nor do I use the yellow pages app. If I freeze either one (or sometimes both) of these, I get a FC every time with my contact manager. Anyone know why?
Thanks
I've always been a HTC man but made the switch to GS3, now i'm wondering if I should have stuck with my EVO line.
My issues. rooted w/ stock, used TB to restore my apps/data. and removed some of the bloate where. I rebooted the phone and then started to get "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" so I restored to factory, and restored my apps/data and haven't tried removing the bloatware yet.
Widget issue
Since I did this I see my stock calendar widget is missing/my calendar doesn't sync all the time.
Email issue
My email using the stock email app works when it wants to and other times it tells me it couldn't verify my username or password, couple mins without touching it, here comes my mail.
the other issue with this is the mail icon will say 12 emails, I delete 10 emails, click refresh to see if there's more emails and there's none but yet my email icon will say 12 in red.
Is there away to delete everything in the trash? I couldn't find any settings. with the EVO I could just do a select all, When I click on the select it only selects "Today" email in the trash not ALL emails in the trash.
Text Message
With my previous text message, if I select to send attachment it will give me the option to my dropbox, I don't see my dropbox in the stock text, I tried Go SMS pro and handcent smss, but didn't see that option in those, so i'm not sure if this is something that the SMS message app look for or if it's something I have to manually set, but was automatically done w/ the evo.
I installed Free sonic and that brought the calendar widget back. My other issues still stands and now I know when there's a text message it shows for example 2 for unread text, but when I check the text message. everything is read or deleted.
did you restore the system apps? because you are not supposed to do that, just do the missing apps/data.
I knew not to restore system apps since my TB came from my EVO. I only restored apps/data that I knew would be fine.
Hello.
I'm using stock rom, rooted and installed CWM, the phone works fine for a few days, then it freezes for a while and shows "process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I can 100% reproduce this by opening stock browser and browse for about 30 seconds, then it freezes for 10 more seconds, then shows FC.
Several times the phone rebooted itself, but not exactly all the way, there was no ATT and Samsung logos, everything went black for a minute, then everything started loading like it just booted.
Anyone else having this or similar issues?
I get this also. Only had one reboot. I'm stock. Maybe that's my problem!
I was using Chrome when this one happened.

I was having the same problem on a stock, unrooted phone. I was able to determine that disabling the "Internet" item in the sync settings for my google accounts made the problem go away. Re-enabling it almost immediately causes the FC problem to return. That item seems to be toggling the syncing of bookmarks from my desktop Chrome browser with the phone browser, which I can do without.

Running stock all the way for now. Same issue. I installed Chrome, disabled sync for internet in my Google account as mentioned above, and enabled sync in the Chrome settings. Better browser, better experience, and no more FCs.
Same here - stock but rooted. Fortunately disabling internet sync fixed the FC issues.

I forget where I found the solution but here's what I did to fix the same problem.
1) Go to Settings > Accounts and sync
2) Remove your Google account
3) Go to Settings > Application Manager
4) Go to "All" tab
5) Find Google Services Framework and open it
6) Select Clear data (for Google Services Framework)
7) Go back to Accounts and sync and add you Google account
That solved it for me.

Hmmmm assuming you have internet synced, try open built-in web browser, will it give you FC?
I am running on the latest stock Verizon firmware on my Note 2. Starting last week I've been having this very annoying issue where at least once a day, all my contacts will disappear on my phone. I am using my Google contacts as my only source of contacts, it is a fairly simple contact list with no extra labels or anything complicated involved. When the contacts disappear, I go under settings --> (accounts) Google --> my gmail account, and see an error under Contacts stating "Sync error: Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." Hitting "Sync Now" again and again will not clear this error. When I restart my phone, the sync will work and my contacts will return, but after a day this error will occur again and my contact list disappears.
I have tried removing my google account from the phone, restarting, and readding the account without success. I have tried going under settings --> application manager and deleting the cache for the phone, contact list, and messanger without any effect. I have also tried completely resetting the phone and starting from scratch without any success as well.
It is sad because I have never had this issue before on my previous android phone (Droid X) and it is making me want to throw this phone against the wall!
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Try downloading app "Contacts Sync Fix" from the Play store. Worked for me!

Problem solved: I have an application called Call Control Pro that blocks telemarketer phone numbers. Apparently there was a bug that caused all contacts to disappear requiring a reboot for them to come back, process then repeats daily. They fixed the issue in the latest update. Thank goodness, because I was being driven crazy by this issue.
