Hi guys,
I was playing with my s3 last night. I was very sleepy so I guess i've messed something up.
Here is what I did. I downloaded MIUI-India ROM and installed. It came with its own kernel which it normally didn't include.
After downloading stweak getting CMW working back again I reflashed it and flashed the SiyahKernel 1.7 right after it. It worked and I started
sTweaks and instant flashed a second rom (ParanoidAndroid) to it with SiyahKernel 1.7 right after it. After the reboot it gets stuck on the dual bootmenu. It doesn't give any option like press vol down to boot second rom or something it just shows background after few seconds screen turns black and the buttons bellow just turns on and stays like that. Now when I tried to boot it into CMW it rewrited again with something and now I get odin mode instead. Please help me out.
Hi guys it's me again. I've fixed the problem. I have CMW flashed back again by using ODIN Desktop and now I'm running the MIUI and Paranoid Android.

So I have previously used a rom on my phone and I didn't like it, so I decided to try Gummy for Fassy 0.7.2. I wiped my data, etc before the installation of the .zip. I ran the FassyGum0.7.2.zip as instructed. In recovery I could see that it was installing as it should..then it rebooted to a loading screen that shows Gummy and a scrolling dots as though it is loading/installing something.
Well the next step according to the dev of the ROM mentions that after installing FassyGum0.7.2.zip that I need to install ModifiedGummyGapps.zip. Well due to this loading screen that hasn't gone away in over an hour I can't run the second .zip. I have tried to hold the power button to recycle the phone...nothing happens. I pulled the battery, and turned it back on and held the correct buttons to try and get it back into recovery...nothing it comes back to the Gummy loading screen every time so I can't even recover to an old ROM.
Any Advice??
Cheers
Sounds like you need to use Odin to go back to stock, and then re flash a recovery and try again

The problem was you didnt flash teamhacksung build 1 or 2 first before flashing gummy...if you need proper instructions for flashing ics roms look up section 4 of my guide in general section.
I'm having a similar problem, except after it was stuck in a boot loop, I attempted to odin it, which froze and then led to more problems. Currently all I can do with my fascinate is get it into download mode. But, it isn't recognized in odin or heimdall, or windows. It shows up as unknown device in device manager. Uninstalling/reinstalling samsung drivers hasnt helped. I also installed Android SDK with Google Driver Package to see if it would help but it didnt. As of now I'm not sure what the next step should be as i can not odin, heimdall, recovery, or boot it. I am on Windows 7 64bit.
I have messed up big time! I rooted my phone perfectly fine and everything. But when I tried to install a new ICS rom and rebooted, my phone showed the samsung logo followed by a screeching frequency noise, followed by a restart. This process continues forever. I really hope I didn't break my phone... Some one please help!
I can access the CWM btw.
my phone did the same thing. it wont let me install the ics rom. But ig u hold volume up, the volume down, and the power button for about 30 seconds it will boot into the recovery where u can flash one of the gingerbread roms or you backup if u created one
My Problem:
phone would hang up then turn off when trying to install any ics roms. And wouldnt turn back on unless i used the above method from my earlier post.
fix:
i used darkside super wipe (google it) and viola it worked
So I flash another ROM to my tab last night (AOKP) and it was running great but I wanted to go back to Clean Rom. I flashed the new rom and wiped everything and anything as I always do with roms. After flashing Clean rom then wiping, I rebooted to a bootloop. I left it overnight and checked on it, and it was still in a bootloop.
I hooked up and started running Odin today to flash stock and Odin was stuck on recovery.img for 3 hours while I was at work. I came home and hit the power button on my tablet and within a few seconds it loads a screen "Firmware upgrade encountered and issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again" Kies does not work on my PC so I cannot use it. Hitting power+volume up doesn't get me into recovery. I know it can be fixed but, how? I have looked all over for this same issue and cannot find much that will help. Any ideas?
*nevermind* finally found something that worked.
You should post the solution you found. It may help others.

thanks in advance, emma
If you can enter Recovery Mode, wipe data from it.
Try removing battery for 5-10 mins and put it back in and try.
Again try recovery mode also..
Cheers

What you should do is try get into recovery (vol up+home+power) and wipe cache and data reset then reboot. If that doesn't work or you can't get into recovery then go into download mode, flash stock firmware and then use a kernel like siyah or fluxi that work on i9100 and give you root wit cwm recovery.
I've had my phone rooted for about a year. Recently flashed Rootboox 3.8 ROM and GApps and all was working great. An update notification told me there was a 3.9 available. It auto downloaded and auto-updated, but Play Store told me it was not installed. I reflashed GApps and after reboot I kept getting a message over and over saying Setup.exe has stopped working. I had to force power off the phone. Rootbox had removed my Reboot options (recovery, etc) before any of these issues started. I had to do the Home button, Vol Down, Power button start and I get the ODIN downloading screen. I chose PDA and reflashed my recovery ROM and it says PASSED and the phone reboots, but straight after the Samsung Galaxy S2 and yellow triangle screen it goes to a black screen and does nothing more.
I have been reflashing CWM, Siyah and jeboo kernels in a frantic effort to get my phone working again, but I cannot get past where I am. So yes, I can boot to the ODIN screen, but it is not helping me get the phone working again. Any help would be incredibly appreciated. The phone is an international Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-i9100
So they all pass in odin?
Flash lsj via odin, see if that works.
Of course, don't even think about flashing the pit file that comes with lsj package.
