Hi all, I'm looking for a way to hide/remove the verizon branding on my DNA. Reason being is that I work for another cell carrier and have verizon with the DNA. A few days ago, I find out that we are getting the DNA as well.
I want to use my Verizon on the sales floor without customers knowing it is on Verizon. Is there a screen protector that will hide the logo on the front or way to remove it(doubtful on this one)?
Thanks for the help. I may just end up putting a piece of electrical tape over it and call it a day. lol. As odd as that may look.
Otter Box Defender case is what I use

If you get a big black sharpie with a wide tip, you can black out the logo on the top of the screen protector, not under because it will just smear. But if you do a clean job it won't hardly be noticeable, anytime you have it on, your eye will draw to whatever is on the display, right?
random but i'm curious as to what carrier is getting the DNA?
A skin from decalgirl or skinit or anywhere else outta the the trick just fine.

Gotta figure Sprint?? Probably not, as I believe they got One. Correct me if I'm wrong.

My new Evo 4g LTE arrived today. Fairly quickly I noticed that there are at least 7 small bubbles in the screen. I cannot feel them on the surface, so I assume they are between the glass and the LCD screen.
Has anyone else had this problem. I have an email out to my Sprint Business Rep asking for a replacement, but its too soon for a reply.

I would exchange it.
He said this....but I think he means if you have a protective screen?

Make sure that it isn't just a film over the case for shipping
If it is indeed a defect in the glass, please exchange it!
I don't recall seeing this problem around, so if your glass has bubbles it could be a bad egg

Hmm. Yes. I believe the very first thing I did was remove the protective plastic on the screen. I had to remind grandma to do a similar thing when she needed to replace her old clock radio.
The point of the question was to see if this is a known issue with build quality. Anyway, I am headed to a corporate Sprint store on my lunch break to get a replacement.
Here's the big update.
I went into a Sprint corporate store earlier today and they immediately gave me a new Evo with a clean screen. Coincidently, a rep from HTC was visiting. He looked despairingly at the bubbly screen, said this is the first he's seen. Apparently my defective phone is going straight back to HTC Quality Control for review. I got a free HTC carabiner and wall charger/usb cable for my troubles.
So, I quickly and painlessly got a replacement phone and HTC is supposedly going to try and prevent similar bubbles in the future.
Mine was initially fine, but last night three of those bubbles appeared down the middle of the screen.
How has the new one held up?
I am going to replace mine later this week due to the "bubbles"
So far so good after almost 3 weeks.

I really want this phone but can't stand the Verizon logo. Is there any way to get rid of it or cover it up somehow?
The one on the top of the screen? Or the one on the notification shade? Well the one on the phone itself is in there for good , I mean unless you find a case or something that will cover it ... As far as the notification shade , that can probably be done by a developer within a made Rom

Yep I mean the physical one on top of the screen. I did a quick search and saw that on previous phones people have been able to use a penny or sugar cube to scratch off the logo. If that's not the case, do you think it could work to get a very thin sticker to cover it up with? I just can't stand it..

I'm almost certain its in the screen , I mean you could try to scratch it off , but hey it might even be under the screen or in ... A thin sticker would work , but that's on you... Strangely enough I haven't noticed the logo myself , it just doesn't bother me . Having come from At&t I would rather see Verizon than the other

Some folks just too much time on their hands.
The logo is printed under the glass. You'd have to tear open the phone, and get a replacement, unbranded screen (I believe the screen and glass are fused together) and rebuild. Aka, it's basically impossible. It's not that ugly, get used to it.

As I am lying down on my bed browsing the interwebs, I am on a page where it is black text with a white background. I notice in the middle of my screen, a blue splotch of coloration. I try to wipe it off, it does not go away. I browse to another page, it is still there. Wtf?? Do I have to send this thing back or what? Am I the only one?

You are not the only one. I called and they sent me a replacement. It was a brand-new replacement. The new one a week later has yet to do it.

Did you have to call the place that you bought the phone from or did you just do a warranty replacement?

If it's been less than 14 days since your purchase you will want to go back to the place you bought it or another corporate Verizon store (assuming you purchased it from a corp store in the first place) and they will give you a brand new replacement.
If it has been more than 14 days you will need to call Verizon or go into a corporate Verizon store to have them issue a warranty replacement.
Good luck!
PS. Depending on when you bought it you may be included in Verizon's "extended holiday return policy" in which case you would have until January 15th to go into a corp store and have it replaced.
I noticed one on my screen too. It's fairly small, and for me, it's not worth the effort to try and get a replacement. You can only really see it over a white background. I also noticed that there may be a second similar spot at the very top edge of my screen. I use a battery app that displays the battery level as a bar across the top of the screen. When I view it at an angle a small part of the bar appears darker. NBD really.
Yeah I had the same thing. I took it into vzw and they took one look at it and ordered me a warranty replacement immediately. Put a dead pixel test app on your phone in case you get a stubborn salesman.
Try this one.

Is there are blue splotch on your replacement or no?
PS I heard that the blue splotches were caused by too much pressure on the phone, for example, Verizon's case caused quite a few people to get the blue spot. How did the rest of you get the blue spot?

I have the vzw tpu case and I do suspect that it is the cause of the creaky back cover. My replacement was perfect until I put the case on. I peeled it off and then it started to creak. It is super snug.
I have the Verizon case, you think it's causing it?

No splotches on the new one. You think it's the case? Any good case recommendations? Not too bulky
I'm using the Verizon silicone case and I don't have the dot.

From other threads, it may actually be the Verizon holster causing get the pressure. Anyone else with this issue use the holster?
Well guess what....I used only the Verizon tpu and the blue doT is now appearing. Sigh.

That's what I have too Jay. I don't think its so much the pressure while its on, its the wear and tear of taking it off. My replacement didn't creek and was solid until I put on and took off my you case. It flexes the back cover and is probably a screen component underneath. New one no blotches yet. We will see.

i'm doing one of those pixel fixer apps, it says to leave it flashing for like 20 minutes to try to fix it...
i have no more left in stock so i can't replace anymore

Hi guys so I have a question I got my phone replaced recently through the insurance with Verizon. Last night I started noticing a have a small blue looking circle that can only been seen when there is white on the screen it's about the width of maybe let's say the top end of the pen or the eraser on a pencil. Do you guys think this is something I can take back maybe take to the store or tell the insurance people somethings up with this phone and get another ? I haven't dropped the phone and I have the otterbox defender on it.

It's pressure being applied to the back of the screen from an internal component. My device has it as well, I've just learned to deal with it.
Mine has had it from the start. Some people with cases have removed the case and the dot went away. Mine has been there since I got it. I unfortunately have the verizon red one and when I called to get a replacement, they couldn't because they didn't have any more. My only option was to wait for a refurb and I didn't want that, so I live with it also.
ugh, my first DNA had this issue, and i didn't even use the holster shell combo like everyone who had it did.
it appeared out of nowhere. i since have returned that DNA, had a GS3, and eventually got another DNA lol
Aloha mates wondering if there was a sticker or a screen protector that covers the hideous verizon logo on their g3
This is exactly what I'm looking for. Was all set to pick this up but I honestly can't stand that logo. Unless I can find a discrete way to cover it up I don't think I'll purchase the G3.
I've dealt with screen protectors with black strips covering the edges outside of the screen, so that'd be most ideal. Unfortunately I can't find anything.
Verizon customers getting screwed over as usual... lol
Good coverage, crappy phones. Divine justice, really ?
There's gotta be some decently easy way to remove that thing right? Its not like its etched in correct?
Verizon logo doesn't both me one bit. the locked bootloader on the other hand does

I asked someone in the Verizon G3 thread who just got a verizon review unit. its not etched or printed on the glass, it's underneath it so there's no way to remove the logo. You either have to cover it up or just deal with it.
the logo is indeed hideous. lucky we don't do such thing here in my country. i would be pissed off to have any other logo than the brand on my phone.
