Is it affecting all AOSP JB ROMs or just 4.2.x ROMs?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask or has been answered.

What's a 2 wire router problem?
Well I believe your problem is you have At&t Uverse internet. Do you have a big grey box or is it the black slim model?
IP assignment issues have affected these 2wire routers for a while..... Try logging into the router enter PW for router (not your usual PW but I think the hardware PW on side sticker) change IP assignment to a 10.0.0.0 etc .....

Cool thanks for the response. I got the black slim one. When I get home from work I'll try that

Type in 192.168.2.1. I believe thats the default ip login its been a year since i worked for At&t. Just scroll through the tabs until you see something like LAN or Wlan. To commit the changes enter the hardware PW. We had so many problems with the routers most of the times we just traded boxes out and said "its fixed" masking the problem.
my honest opinion I would not have Uverse installed in my house ever. If its not too late I would cancel the contract. The highest dwnload you can get is about 10-12mbs and that's w/o any stb or DVRs

Wasn't my choice. We had time warner cable before and couldn't stand it. But when I get home I'll try it out and see what happens
Sent from my EVO 4G LTE using xda app-developers app
Can't type it in. And the one you said to use isn't there as an option
Sent from my EVO 4G LTE using xda app-developers app
Hmmm I would look on the box the router login is usually on a sticker or the box itself. Anything but the default IP assignment should do. If it continues its most likely a issues with service and a tech will have to roll out. If you have a spare wifi router hook it to the Ethernet and try using it instead of the 2wire (which is limited to b,g WiFi)

:0 I knew I disliked 2wires. I didn't know they were only g and not n. But idk it works on sense ROMs just not aosp.

I changed a few Wimax settings and it directs me to clear homepage on 4g nomatter what url I put in. At top right hand corner is a link to activate this device. I click it, log in and it just shows rate plans. Is there a way to get this to work with clear?
An interesting note. A rep at clear said the partnership between clear and sprint is only for 3g network. 4g seperate. I'm hoping I can connect to them to get my 4g. Looked at some other threads of people trying to do this as well, still looking.

My city has unofficial Wimax right now. Its not on Sprint's site but Clear's map shows green everywhere here, and I can connect to it with no probs
You can connect to it with your EVO without using a hotspot device, just the phone?

Was able to connect on my 4G and just went outside and tried with my 3D (signal isn't great in my office.) Pulled up Reddit pretty quick. Ran a speed test and got 4500mbps down. Identifies as Sprint but not on their map but comes up at www.clear.com/coverage. Put in 85122 zip code. You will get a message about their service not being available, but the green shows the Wimax
If the 4G Mac Address is not activated on sprint then it can be used to be activated soley to use 4g on CLEAR, to verify if the MAC address is available contact Clear Support at 8888883113 press opt 3 and ask the rep to please check to see if the MAC address is assigned to any MVNO or account and then it can activated. If they ask you what kind of device it is just tell them it is a Intel Laptop as they can have any MAC address assigned in Clears Billing system.
Same here sprint claims there is no 4g but I connect to clear with my EVO and it says I'm connected to sprint

I have encountered a rather odd issue and am at a loss.
My download rate is atrocious (approx. 250–300 kbits) but my upload speed is about 5 mbits. I have isolated it to my EVO which I just activated and started using on my Wifi. Obviously the bandwidth is there based on the upload but no matter what I try; resetting the modem and router, isn't working.
Stock evo lte on most recent firmware.
Any help you have to offer is greatly appreciated.

Have you checked your download speed with another device, just to make sure it's your phone and not something else, like the router/network?

try that. It might be trying to bounce between 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz
Still crap speeds. Ugh. May be my router and phone just aren't meant to be friends.

Changed my router from auto to G only.. Finally getting the 15Mbits per second I'm paying for.
It would appear to be a software issue, hopefully one of the many that is fixed if we ever get JB.
Thanks to all those who provided feedback on this matter

I've seen this when using an iffy internet connection. The screen shot shows you on the EDGE network, so I'd imagine that's the issue. Connect to a solid wifi network and see if that fixes the problem.

Ah! So you are... so you are. Then you, like me, may be looking for a new internet provider soon. Or perhaps the wifi you're on is having issues.
During my testing so far, I have only seen this on my (somewhat shoddy) wifi connection, and not on the much better LTE connection. That said, it also could be the HTC server is experiencing difficulties.
Assuming the issue is intermittent, it is almost certainly a problem with the network or the service, not your phone, and there's nothing much you can do about it on the phone itself.

Yeah it is an issue with CM and ATT 2wire router. Your options are to get a new router or keep hitting connect in the WiFi settings like an idiot until it finally connects. This was so aggravating for me when I had ATT.

Hey everyone,
For some reason my GN3 isn't getting a 4G connection in my home or office, my GN2 gets a flawless connection.
I did all standard trouble shooting procedures with Sprint but no go.
I made sure the cdma/lte option was selected, turned off the connection optimization, reset the profiles and prl.
Sometimes the 4G will turn on, but it will disconnect quickly. Is my phone defective?
Thanks

Yeah a combination of both might really be giving you a horrible experience. This phone is amazing when getting a signal. I switched from the HTC One, which for me was a horrible phone for 4G or just signal in general. This phone grabs and keeps 4g anytime.

Actually it seems better than the note 2, I am getting 4g where my wife note 2 is only getting 3g in some spots. Yes we are side by side when it happens. Yes we traded phones to see if it was just the distance of a foot or two in the truck made the difference. It did not.

The 4g on my note 3 goes in and out. I can wake the phone and as soon as I do the 4glte icon disappears and the 3g icon pops up. No stable 4g connection at. Haven't been able to test the speeds because of this. Now my gs4 is sitting right by my note 3 and it has full 4g getting speeds up to 24mbps. Yet the note 3 is still only showing 3g. Both on the same prl. Both have lte enabled.

I get some issues from time to time; In Seattle, Sprint has yet to officially announce 4G LTE coverage.
I'm lucky to get it where I live and frequent but from time to time it just doesn't seem to work, it will say I'm connected but has DNS errors, perhaps because the connection dropped or they're upgrading a tower... When my connection drops I try cycling Airplane Mode a few times and that usually lets me connect.

I have to cycle airplane mode to connect a lot of times as well. Does anyone know why LTE seems to be so much tougher to connect to than WiMax? On my S2 that I just upgraded from you could set the specific db that Wimax connected and disconnected at as well as the specifc interval that it would check for 4g. It connected to and stayed connected much more reliably than LTE does. I live in a well covered area, but there are certain points along my driving route where the 4g will drop to 3g. After that I notice that it is very hit and miss as far as deciding to reconnect to LTE, even though the coverage is superb. If I cycle airplane mode, it connects with a strong LTE signal. This is after setting the LTE timer and the buffer timer to 1. Does anyone have settings that make the phone try to connect more often?
Did anybody ever figure out why this is happening, i just picked up my n3 while i was in denver where there is no sprint 4g, but i noticed as soon as i got back to my house where my n2 always got 4g and my wifes icrap 5s gets 4g but not my n3?
Here are the settings I use. 4G almost always. connection optimizer is removed on my phone too. If you use something to create shortcuts to activities you can access the hidden menus without using the dialer. Easy prl change is nice but since 4G is new in my area I stay on the newest the phone grabs from network.

Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
Yeah, I'm getting general LTE flakiness lately, when previously it was fine. I don't know if it's the phone or the network. I seemed to have better speeds with my kyocera torque and s4. I'm guessing it's network congestion. In some places with decent signal, it has slow connection to no. Pisses me off when it drops down to 3g. I'm thinking more people are upgrading old phones and hogging bandwidth. Ten months ago LTE was much faster.
You guys think this would work??
