screen sensitivity issue - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

after installing the app JuiceDefender - battery saver, my screen sensitivity wasn't as good. I would have to tap it 2 or 3 times sometimes for it to work.. I uninstalled the app and the sensitivity was back to normal. has anyone ever had an issue like this with this app or any other app?
the sensitivity is not back to normal. I even flashed a backup.. what could the issue be?

I had this problem before jb, now touch is fantastic!

if you update to jelly bean you won't be seeing that. i had it before jelly bean. it is not about that app.

I thought the update to jelly bean on p76910g wasn't possible yet? I'm a complete noob with android/rooting etc. and this screen sensitivity issue just randomly happened to you? I didn't have a problem the first month I had it, it just happened yesterday. I'm thinking I want to go back to how the phone was originally out of the box (10g firmware) no root or anything and wait for official jb update? how do I accomplish this? offline flash kdz and just not replace the bin? any help is greatly appreciated

you have to download 10g kdz file and flash it to your device. there is a guide in android development section in forum.

lol I just figured this out last night. why would that cause a problem with the touch sensitivity? doesn't make sense to me. my screen auto rotating gets on my nerves, wish there was a way to fix this

AW: screen sensitivity issue
I had the same problem, now i have installed JB and the touchscreen works great!

turning off screen kills device

ive searched for things such as "sleep crash", "sleep bug", "screen wont turn on" etc. but can seem to find anything that tells me anything other than turn off wifi (which i tried to no avail). My issue is that when i press the power button for 1 second to turn off my archos 70 screen it will not turn back on. Same thing happens when i let it fall asleep. If i leave it plugged in and not allow it to turn off screen i have no issues. My apologies if i just don't know what words to search for ... i tried. In on the .4 firmware (latest) with no mods. This has happened through the last 3 firmwares from archos. Any ideas?
Have a you tried a full reinitialization (in settings > repair and formatting) and then reinstalling the latest firmware? If you have just been updating the firmware, the problem may have been deeper.
Thats strange... I have a similar issue with my 101: when i leave my tablet asleep for more than 20min, I can't turn it back on without doing a hard reset. Now it only happens when I simply shut off the screen and leave it alone. If I hold the power button and use deep sleep though, it works just fine. When I can't get it started I notice the little power light is on, but the screen stays black... any suggestions??
I have read somewhere in this forums that re-calibrating your screen from Settings might help, but I still didn't tied - if someone try please post results.

i had the same problem on my 32, albeit not that frequently. Downloading the FW and reflashing it seems to have made the problem go away.
You know what? Strangely enough after I replied to your post I downloaded the latest fw (2.1.4) and the problem seems to have gone away no special flash no repair I just installed and rebooted and so far no prob... I will keep testing this and post results
Edit* Ok so far so good... no problems. I'm actually surprised I'm getting better response from the device despite everyone's warnings about 2.1.4. But that's another topic. I think its just a bad install of your current FW, but I'm just guessing... My device has had the issue since I got it, I just decided to live with it but like I said the latest update fixed it... So it HAS to be the FW

err I'm afraid that I spoke too soo. My device keeps getting stuck and won't awake from sleep. This seems to happen most after switching wifi on or off, specifically whilst the device is playing music.

how are you installing the firmware? maybe im doing it wrong. I let the device update to latest 2.1.4 and then i wiped it via the settings and repair menu in android.
Edit**
like this??:
Step 1: Download the android 2.2 firmware for your archos tablet from here, you might a get a false positive notification from your browser as they are unaware of .AOS format, so ignore that and download it.
Step 2:Go to Menu > Settings > Device Storage & USB connection > USB connection mode of your tablet and set the connection mode to Mobile Media Device (MTP) and now connect your Tablet to pc.
Step 3:Now when the tablet is detected you will see a hard drive icon, double tap and open it and copy and paste the firmware (.AOS) file into the hard drive(make sure you dont copy it in any folder inside it like Music,Videos etc).
Unplug the USB connection and the Archos device will automatically locate the update file and will prompt you for the update, just follow the screen options and you are done,if it does not prompt you for an update then you might have accidentally misplaced the file in one of the folders, just locate the .AOS file from the file manager and and open it to start the update.
No no it wasn't that complicated... It was actually the simplest fix for a difficult problem. My device when I got it was running 2.1.2 out the box... Even then It had the screen problem. When I got the chance I installed 2.1.3 OVER THE AIR. Straight from Archos. Still had the issue though, I figured it would have been fixed but was greatly disappointed... Then I sort of just lived with the problem for awhile... I saw that the 2.1.4 update was released but was wary about downloading it because sooo many people are having issues. Just the other day though, the device cut off on me again and I figured to hell with it... So I downloaded the 2.1.4 OTA as well... no website, no manual install, I just let the device run its course on its own. After the update, it rebooted normally and it's been working great since... Sorry to hear not everyone is so fortunate... I really hope this helps somewhat

Hi... I am facing the same problem with my Galaxy SII I9100
Is there any solution for this?
If you give more Information Such as your current ROM, Modem and APPS which you are using .. it will help to find out reason for the same.
It happened to me, I think its when the phone get disconnected from the network (not the wifi).

In-call touchscreen issue!

I've had this problem with my Xperia Z2 since I've owned it. I've had firmware 402 and now 314 and it's still the same.
The problem is that when I'm in a call, the proximity sensor works and turns the screen off but the digitizer does not turn off! So while I'm talking and pressing my face against the phone it detects input and sometimes I even hangup on people.
Anyone else experience this issue or have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?
Hi. I had the same problem. So I installed an app called "call screen lock". That solved it for me.

You can use the work around until it is fixed or suffer the bug. Why not complain to Sony?

Mate 10 pro Always on Clock problem - not updating clock

Can please someone confirm that clock is not being updated on the Always On (Always Display Information) screen?
It ONLY updates time for a minute or two, then it stops. Touch proximity sensor and it will update again, but for a minute or two ONLY.
Please someone confirm this!
Update: Tech at Huawei was not able to reproduce error. Factory reset and Hard Factory reset did not help. While phone is connected on the electrical charging and battery is less then 100% clock is being updated every minute on Always On display, however when battery reaches 100% clock stops updating. Decision is made to send phone to repair service.
Were they able to fix the problem? Im having the same issue.

First day they called me and said the clock is working fine with them. I was shocked as I made factory reset several times.... But they also said they notice that Power button is not always responsive and will do further tests. At the end they decided to change the motherboard. I have no other details, I just received fixed phone from the service.

New security update available

Just as the title reads. Updates the fingerprint with cool animation.
Thanks for the information about the new firmware update for the new Bold-N1!
After comparing this new Bold-N1 with the BLU-XI+ (with 6GB of RAM), which I also have, I have noticed that apparently due to the low 4GB of internal RAM... That most negative and annoying thing when using this new BOLD-N1 is its bad management of it's RAM Memory, which BOLD should urgently solve in an upcoming update, because there are other similar phones with also 4GB of RAM that handle this memory much better when running several applications at the same time.
So I expected BOLD to do something to improve, the handling of the RAM in the BOLD-N1 ...
Apart of Updating the fingerprint with cool animations, Do you know if there any other fixes or enhancements?
I just wanted to add that it lost root with this update, but was able to flash my old modified boot image with no negative effects. I thought it might cause a boot loop, but it works fine.
im not currently on the stock rom, so i cannot do it. Has anyone managed to copy the update file, before it being installed?
Ok I asked and got a response. Here is the update package.
https://android.googleapis.com/pack.../404ed8bd09ac64e1c9a1252713be24abff463f81.zip
Possible warning
Not confirmed yet. But it is possible this update is changing the preloader , making sp-flash tool no longer connect without signed images.
Someone who has already installed the update, can you confirm if flash tool still allows flashing?
Fingerprint scanner activating on picking up the phone
Anyone know if there's a way to disable the fingerprint scanner activating any time I pick up the phone now? Never did that before the update, it's pretty annoying. Already have lift to wake turned off, but that doesn't fix it. Went through every setting and didn't see a way to fix it.

Pretty sure that would be under the "lift to wake option" found in settings->Intelligent Assistance->Lift to wake
See if the switch is set on and toggle it off. Mine isn't and my scanner doesn't activate when picking up

Apart of the Security Update and adding some cool Animations to the On-Screen Fingerprint Scanner...
I have also noticed that after the updating we are now able to turn ON or OFF Adaptive Brightness directly from the slide down menu.

Please, anyone? This seems to really be killing my battery life, I'm getting down to 10 percent now, when before the update I would be down to about 40-50 percent with the same amount and time of use after this update.
I just updated my bold n1 with the new security patch and I don't know if this was available before hand, but I noticed that the fingerprint reader now appears on the bottom of the screen just by lifting the phone up. I don't remember it doing that before.
