Hello. I have this problem. My phone does not charge more than 89%. It just stops there. When I tried to recalibrate the battery (full discharge, full recharge when turned off) it charged 100%. Later the problem returned. Bought a new charger. Still does not work. Rom - Cyanogenmod 10.1 temasek's kangs, whatever's the latest. Kernel - temasek too.

One try a battery calibration from the market or wipe the battery stats via recovery .
Then charge and use the phone to recalibrate .
No fix then i would blame firmware/ kernel first then the battery .

I'll try this today. It was not a priority, because nobody faced that problem in the thread.

Fixed it. The bug was in the temasek's kernel default profile. The maximun charging voltage was set to 4.2v, while it is 4.35.

Hey there,
Atm im on resurrection ics (27.05).
Im experiencing a constant battery drain in standby (about 50 mAh). I have already tried different kernels but this did not solve the problem. I did install betterbatterystats to analyse the drain but i dont get whats causing the drain. What stands out is that the android os in the stock battery analysis consumes alot of battery (im not sure if this is as it should be).
Here are some screens, i hope someone can help me..

It looks perfectly normal. Just seems that you restarted your phone twice.
Try to reflash the rom with a full wipe(data, cache, dalvik and system) and install your apps one by one to see if some of them are causing the drain.. if you can't find the solution in this way, try changing rom/kernel.. if you don't solve with this neither, make a backup of your sdcard(s) and reflash with a full wipe.

dont see what the issue is, your battery is hardly dropping anything when in standby.

The easiest way is to flash a custom kernel that supports that feature. Siyah, Dream and Dorimanx kernels all support the feature via Extweaks
maybe you could post some details about what rom/kernel you are using and then it would be easier for people to help you... trey something like my signature
regarding your problem... try to use your phone like you usually do from a fulll battery until 10-15% then recharge it without any restarts

haha sorry. just copt i have cwm. do i need to wait till the battery is fully charged b4 i wipe the data??
I recommend to charge it to 100% then remove the battery for 1 minute (this resets your fuel gauge apparently) then charge it again to 100% so I guess you need to charge it. Afterwards, discharge it normally and try not to reboot at least for one cycle

No one can just know what's wrong with your device. Post all battery screenshots as well as BBS screens (including wakelocks). Then, people could tell you the root of your problem.

Have you tried battery calibration
Drain the phone completely
then charge to 100% without disconnecting
Use the app to calibrate battery.

Try battery calibration, if you still face the issue maybe the problem is with the battery, i had similar issue, Battery calibration is a must once every month or two, this is not phone specific but LI ion battery specific.
Check on internet how to optimize battery.
I have faced the same issue. Tried battery calibration a couple of times. However, I have noticed that it did not help. Battery used to drop by a huge amount on reboot.
But the issue does not occur so frequently & regularly anymore. This will not effect the charge on the device though.
Regards,
Hitesh Gupta
I face this problem too...not all of a sudden...
but when i restart my phone, the battery level drops from 80 to directly 14,
it actually isn't drop, just the battery level..
the phone continues working on 14 for a good period of time...but yeah...there is a error...

Did you guys change the firmware?
Possible fix for battery drain(30%-10%) rooted device
Hey guys i used to have the same issue before, calibrating didnt work at first, flashing custom roms didnt do the trick either so in the end i finally snapped n tried calibrating the battery the other way round. I calibrated my battery when it reached a sufficiently low charge(did mine at 7%). I used rom toolbox(device must be rooted) which can be found in the play store, ull find the option in rom management > wipe options
(DO NOT tick any other options other than wipe battery stats). Other battery calibration apps might work but it didnt for me. after wiping battery stats it will ask u to reboot. Reboot the device and let it charge to 100%. Then check if the drain is gone!
hope this helps you guys!
Use at own risk. I will not be held responsible.
Few days ago...my phone had 15% battery... Due to all the flashing... But after I rebooted my phone I don't know how... But is showed 55%...how awesome is that...

Same issue here
If I reboot the device the battery percentage is decreasing in large number.. and if I restarted again it is increasing to some level (not upto actual level). I hope this is a bug in 4.2.1. I dont know about previous version because mine is 4.2 out of box
Thanks,
Raviteja.
Have you checked your actual battery backup time? As in how many hours after full charge till your phone actually switches off due to battery?

There should not be a battery issue, I purchased mine and no issues so far. I play games , run apps etc. Download huge size files directly on the phone through wifi, no problems. Report it to service center if you have battery issues.
Put in charge, Battery will increase.

I had same issue, it will decrease with in some minutes from 40 to 12..
I was tried all ROM, finally I decided to flash stock rom using SP tools.
even after flashed stock the problem was there.. after a week now looks good
so I think if you flashed any rom we have to wait for at least one week to battery calibration

The phone has problems reading the battery level. If you use dorimanx or syiah, go to stweaks -> others and reset fuel gauche chip. Then wait about 1 hour and it will be on the right percentage.
