I had a problem with my galaxy s2 so I had to flash my ROM again
I flashed the JellyBam Rom v.7 without wiping and it didnt work
so I tried to full wipe and then install it again - didnt work.
I dont know what to do now, a messege is poping up when I turn the phone saying the Setup Wizard stopped working, and another popup saying the google.process.gapps stopped working
What should I do ?
Nandroid bk up? Do that
Try wipe cache then advanced wipe dalv cache

I tried it didnt help I guess I haven't done the nandroid backup
Is there any Rom I can flash from Odin and it will work ?
If there is a stock Jellybean of samsung it would be great
Go to sammobile they have the firmware. Any other than 4.0.4 Nandroid should work. Did you make one. Have u Tryed fixing permissions . What did you do to your phone before is went funny.

Look I will tell you exactly what I have done:
I had a JellyBam Rom, kinda old version
My friend got into the parandroid I chose 'Tablet' (Yeah he is stuipd.)
Then the troubles started. The device havent booted on so I installed the new JellyBam version without wiping
then it booted bot a bunch of errors accured so I had to do a full wipe (factory, then chache and then dalvik) and then I installed the Rom again
And here we are.
Should I flash Gapps now ?
Dose it work now if so yes install gapps. You have the right gapps for that rom?
Gt i9100
Alliance v7.2
Dorimanx8.11.1

It loades on a black screen with those errors I mentioned on the first messege
And I got gapps for jeally bean.. I dont think that there are any special gapps for the JellyBam Rom
Gapps has dif versions ie 4.1.2 4.2.2 ect. Go to cwm don't do full wipe just cache and dalv then fix permissions see if works then do gapps. Get rom working first. Maybe good idea to ask on jellybam thread.

Look the Rom is kinda working i mean that It loads
But after is loads there are 2 notifications - one about gapps who stopped working and one about Setup Wizard
I treid what you said.. didnt work
What is jellybam? 4.1.2 ect? What gapps have you installed? Mix gapps will cause probs like what you have now. Do full wipe and install rom. Then wipe cache and dalv. Don't install gapps. Then should work then find right gapps Or look to see If your rom and gapps match. You have upgraded your rom yes? You must upgrade gapps too most of the time.

Galaxy SII.. Sorry for being such a pain in the ass
I have already full wiped and installed Rom without installing gapps
http://get.jellybam.com/ - this is the jellybam site, it was better few months ago I dont know what happened to the site
After doing full wipe and installing the JellyBam Rom I havent installed gapps.. If I would do it now would it help ?
Maybe its better to just flash a new Rom through Odin ? What new Roms can be flashed through Odin ?
Flash the rom without gapps and boot and see if any errors? You have a gt i9100 I guess. The rom is for a gt i9100?think your gapps is wrong. You need to think about doing a nandroid bk up and efs bk aswell. Get it working and bk up.

Dude, there are various different "Galaxy SII" models. When somebody says model they want exact model number. Check under battery.
JellyBAM comes with gapps included, so no need to flash that.
Installation steps (from their website):
Download JellyBam*for your device.
Place the downloaded zip in your internal SDCard.
Reboot the phone into recovery.
If it’s the first time you install JellyBam:
Select wipe data / factory reset,
Go into advanced tab and select wipe dalvik cache,
Go into mount and storage tab and select format /system.
If you are updating your existing JellyBam build, skip the previous step.
Select install zip from sdcard and select the downloaded JellyBam build zip.
Flash it and reboot your device.
It will take from 2 to 10 minutes to run (only the first time) so, be patient!
Enjoy JellyBam.

Either the OP got his device model wrong, or downloaded the wrong JellyBAM ROM, or needs to use a rom wipe/nuke script.

I've been having problemS with my s2 screen freezing up - if I put it to sleep and wake the phone up it OK for a minute then starts to freeze up again! I've had the phone really flashed but it did not fix the problem! So I presume I have a digitizer problem, I want to send it back to Samsung under warranty - as the phone is rooted what would I have to do before I send it back to Samsung as I've heard the phone has a flash log installed so Samsung would know it's been rooted even though I will have it relished with a stock rom?
flash an official firmware.. erase thr binary count thing. There are threads here that could give u the step by step process how.. without the jig ofc. rooting your phone VOIDS your warranty.

Hey all. Um well my s2 just locks up/screen freeze and soft buttons while i brows through forums etc and its getting rather enoying now. It does it about once a day, maybe twice. I tried changing custom roms, kernel and even taken out my sd card. I havent yet tested to see if it does it on stock rom.
Could this be a hardware issue? Or is it a memory leak thing? I dont even know what that is on custom roms lol
Thanks

1. You can try another kernel like Dorimanx kernel.
2. I'll use ParanoidAndroid as an example:
- boot to CWM recovery
- wipe data /factory reset
- format /system
- Flash paranoid
- flash Gapps
- fix permissions (under Advanced)
- reboot recovery
- flash your custom kernel
- reboot phone
Done.
3. If you are using titanium backup,
A. Never restore System app +data.
B. Try as much as possible to restore user apps alone without restoring data.
4 update your apps in Google playstore
done

Is there a safe to re-root? CWM has been removed from apps so presume that has gone.
Anyone help please?

When flashing a different rom, always do a full wipe(factory reset, wipe cache, dalvik cache) or else you'll end up in a bootloop.

No, you cant get the brick bug in Siyah. Its present only in Samsung kernels and ones based on it, like Cf-root.
Siyah is completely safe, dont worry.

Hi guys i recently bought an Galaxy s2 from a friend of mine. After few days of usage i realized that my phone is too hot near camera and display is hot upper side. Next thing i realized is that battery doesnt last more than 8 hours if my total gameplay is 40 mins and browsing internet with wifi not so much. Anyway the phone is rooted and has Siyah 6 i think with touchpad and i have made a factory reset but it does same. The phone uses android 4.1.2 , baseband i9100XXLS8 , KERNEL 3.0.31-889555 [email protected]#3 SMP PREEMPT Thu jan 31 KST 2013 , Build number JZO54.I9100XWLSD. Ok so i have read some forums and many ppl said that is getting hot from software and 4.0.4 ice crem sandwich is better. Now my question is :how i get back to 4.0.4 or what`s a good custom rom for my s2 . hope its not a hardware issue. P.S : it,s getting hot when i use 3g , wifi , games , playing to phone,s menu , etc. Sorry for asking this but i am a noob. hope you guys can help me. Thanks
To be honest what your doing with your phone it's bout right batt last 8 hr. 4.0.4 keep clear of this as has brick bug in it. I'm on what it say below and mine would last bout the same playing games and that. Phone dose get hot.. I changed to custom rom cuz of heat problem witch I fine is to do with the kernel. But don't change that much anyway.

Install roms to int sd card and follow the rom install guide. Read through neats thread ask some questions about installing there. Either way looks good to me. I'd go with alliance but that is my choice you have yours . Just watch what your doing if your not good at this. Back up before any thing in cmw bk up your efs now. Bk up bk up. Bk up rom you have now as it works if you mess up you can go bk to this. Most if the time. Take a copy of bk up onto pc or extra sd card not in the phone. Bking up now is very important.

Hello all,
I've been waiting for my provider to release stock 4.1.2 but they are taking too much time...
Would you know which rom should I install to get the stock 4.1.2 and will I keep all my settings and apps ?
Also, does it have multiview and all the good stuff from the S3 ?
Lastly, I'm running stock 4.0.4 and emmc bug check says "sane chip".
Is there anything to know before upgrading to 4.1.2 ? Any trap or must know ?
Thank you all

So many questions! A simple search on XDA could answer them all..
You can flash any stock firmware that your device (and carrier, if any) supports.
You may or may not lose your apps and settings after flashing a new ROM (depends). But it is advised to factory reset (wipe data) when switching from ICS to JB. You can always backup and restore, right?
Since ur on 4.0.4, do not perform factory reset before flashing JB. To wipe data while on 4.0.4, always switch to a custom (safe) kernel. There is no risk while flashing via Odin though.

Rooted and I have a EFS backup too.
I think I know how to flash: DL mode + Odin.
I'm just extra cautious as the only time I tried to flash a rom, I didn't know about the brick bug and went straight into it...
Now my phone has been replaced and the chip is "sane" so it should be safe to factory reset.
I'll do a nandroid backup and a titanium backup but I would like not to wipe.
You can flash any stock firmware that your device (and carrier, if any) supports.
--> they haven't released it yet... How can I tell ?
What are the benefits to run a stock rom ? It is more stable ?
What is it with odin. Flash through cwm. Stock is good but if your wanting more then go with multi window. Alliance is very good. Don't go with stock. These m/w come in stock form too. I like the look of stock why I choose alliance but it also has the aokp bit too so best of both worlds. Then there's rom customizer. Great app that works brill with the rom. It's just like mobile odin but Not

I use Omega, and its pretty good too.. I think Alliance is also good.. it really depends on ur choice.
I chose Omega because they have torrent download links.. In India, torrents are better to download without risk of corrupting the ROM.

Happy for you mate!
I will give a probable explanation as to what happened:
Siyah v5.0.1 supports AOSP JB 4.1.2, but not stock JB 4.1.2! That's why ur phone didn't boot! You should have flashed v6.0b5.
