I recently upgraded to the Stock ROM "I9100XWLSE_I9100OXELS6_I9100XXLS8" from CM 10.1
I having the following issues:
1. The notification about "battery charged. unplug charger" & "USB Connected" does not get cleared even when the charger & USB cable are removed. Only way to make them disappear is by restarting the device
2. When the device is powered down, I get the battery icon on the screen and the green bar goes up and down (after the SGS2 is powered down). It's sometime very hard to start the device. I have to remove the battery, keep it for sometime then put it back or go to recovery then reboot from there
3. The display never gets off for some reason hence resulting in total battery drain
Wondering if anyone of you guys facing the similar issues? Also are there any fix for any of them?
I haven't rooted the device yet.
I have been on LS8 based custom stock rom before and never had that problem, at the moment im using omegarom v21 based on LPH and havnt had any problems

Did you do a full clean install with wipes?
Yes. Did factory reset as well. Same issues

Do a re-flash then and see.

Did that after posting this thread and left it overnight same result. in 7 hours the battery got drained from 100% to 22%. The battery stats is still assuming that the mobile is in charging mode. After reboot, the data is updated where I see Display consuming 52% of battery really clueless

To my knowledge, supernexus and neatrom are THE most stable ones

hey. i was just wondering what will happen if i was flashing a rom or a kernel and my battery died?
That's why they say make sure you have atleast 60% of battery before you flash a kernel/ROM

Nothing good can come from that..

It can be disastrous, make sure to have more than 50% of juice left before flashing roms or kernels. Better safe than sorry
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Once I flashed a kernel and ROM when I had 11% of battery and nothing happened. I know, I'm crazy
Flashed kernel with 6%. Still have a working phone.
Sent from my Galaxy S2 GT i9100
With touch recovery, battery indicator is always present so any time you are there you will always know the amount puff battery you have left before proceeding to flashing.
With it, I once successfully flashed a new kernel and modem with 3% remaining

i dont think its "Soft Brick" coz you have no battery left the phone will not even turn on (even in recovery)
I've heard a few cases where people hardbricked their phone because their phone disconnected from their PC while flashing via Odin. Personally, I've flashed once when my battery was only 3-5% (don't remember what exactly was left), but as said before, better safe than sorry.

It's safer to charge your phone while flashing rom. I have been flashing roms more than 10 times, I don't think the battery will "die".
My wife SG2 (international )it's running miui rom 2.3.9 from a long time and I never realize that if I try to turn it off it's just reboot, i try taking the battery out but when i putt it back once again the phone turn on, have anyone encounter this? What can i do?

I had this problem before, but apparently not was a hardware problem from me. Other than this, and my phone kept on showing that it was being charged while unplugged, and and also showed weird signs (warning triangle with a thermometer). A visit to the Samsung customer care solved it when they fixed the circuit board.

-flash another ROM, possibly ICS ROM (power off issue should be relieved after)
-then use triangle away app to clear the yellow triangle. Download here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114

Hve u tried changing the kernel and seen for now
You probably have done something else your phone will not behave this way. I have an S2 since day one and despite numerous hacking & ROM/kernel change, I have yet to experience anything like what you had posted. Another possible explanation is a weakening battery.

Tried Philz kernal, stock and one is i think joboo something like that's dun remember its name

well here are some possible solutions
1. Your battery was faulty meaning the one you bought was faulty bt worked for abt some charges
2. You have to many applications installed running in the background (keep the ones u only need)
3. try reseting battery gauage
4. you are charging ur phone while using applications and games which doesnt give efficient charging
5. Try airpush app to see weather there apps which are ad supported and remove them
6. try another jb rom with the latest siyah kernel which is currently in beta
try battery calibrate app
try installing betterbatterystats app (search on google play) and give a couple of cycles and then compare the log while changing/trying different kernels, and see which one works better for you.
make sure that you are not a victim of the media scanner issue:

Hey thanks for all your reply guys i think after flashing siyah now my problem gonna the problem was with fuel gauge after resting it now im getting battery life about 4-5 hrs medium use... No wifi only 3G
Still im not sure it was kernels issue or fuel gauge watevr it was now my problem is solved

5 hours? lol post your battery detail screenshot.
Hope you meant "5 hours non-stop browsing with 3g" or else you got a serious battery problem.
Hello. I have this problem. My phone does not charge more than 89%. It just stops there. When I tried to recalibrate the battery (full discharge, full recharge when turned off) it charged 100%. Later the problem returned. Bought a new charger. Still does not work. Rom - Cyanogenmod 10.1 temasek's kangs, whatever's the latest. Kernel - temasek too.

that is odd. have you wiped caches and stuff via recovery?
Hav u tried it with stock?

One try a battery calibration from the market or wipe the battery stats via recovery .
Then charge and use the phone to recalibrate .
No fix then i would blame firmware/ kernel first then the battery .

Fixed it. The bug was in the temasek's kernel default profile. The maximun charging voltage was set to 4.2v, while it is 4.35.

It's called fuel gauge.
Let it discharge till it goes off, charge it full while off, take out the battery for 90 sec, put it back and turn it on.

maybe in ur ph. running some app which is run in background try greenify app ..
