Hello Seniours,
I am using Galaxy S3 in India and with 4.1.2 firmware version of Android (Stock Rom)
And when I dial any mobile number for e.g. 9999999999 it appears on my dialer as 99 99 999999
When I check XDA forums for it, I could see that, I have to change my location and languate and I tried everything. I am using UK English and Location is India but Still I am not able to change my mobile number format.
I tried searching all over internet but somehow nothing workd for me.
So request you guys to please help me regarding this issue and how can I fix my dialing format on my Samsung Galaxy S3.
Kind Regards,
Anoop.
Hey
That is the stock number format..u cant change it..
Whats there to fix in it??
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Thanks TCIndalia for your revert.
But some friends of mine also has got Galaxy s3 and they can see the number in continuous format. not like spaces in between.(i.e. 99 99 999999)
Even they are on Stock android rom then why the difference should come?
In fact i had some issue of logo stuk-up and i have re-installed the firmware and from that point on I have got this thing changed...
Otherwise earlier I used to get the number in continuous format only..
So I want it back to the orignal & continuious style?
I can see you also use S3, can you type 9999999999 on your dialer and see in what fashion it shows to you?
Awaiting your revert..
Regards,
Anoop.
R: Number display format on Galaxy S3 in India
If you have root have a look at this previous thread with same request

Thanks Killbubble for your help.
But un-fortunately my S3 is not rooted. So will get it first and then see if it works.
also I have checked the build.prop file in my S3 and it says, Locale as UK and Language as English.
Not sure in-spite of having UK there the number comes in separated format like 99 99 999999 and not 9999999999
If you have any added observations to fix this, kindly through more light on the same!
Regards,
Anoop.
I also wonder if this could be csc related?

Any lucky?
I have the same problem for pt-BR and i'm thinking, is a file responsible for that? Or is built in dialer ?
After I reset the phone, the digits issue got fixed automatically.. So try to do the factory reset and it might work..

Hi guys, I’m sorry if I post this in the wrong section (I’m new in this forum).
I'm having a problem with my RAZR xt910 651.167.21.xt910.retail.en.EU GB 2.3.6 (rooted) , I bought it a month ago and it was working very good, there was nothing wrong with it. But some days ago it turned off by itself (having 80% battery) and I couldn't turn it on. So I plugged in the battery charger (AC) and it showed me that I got 5% battery :s. But when I turned it on, it showed me 76% battery and my SIM card wasn't recognized (But everything else worked fine). Then I went to the Settings menu > About phone and it shows the Baseband unknown and in "Status" it shows Network unknown, Mobile network type Unknown, IMEI Unknown and IMEI SV Unknown.
I flashed it several times with different fastboot files from this site sbf.droid-dev...spyder/list.php but it didn't help. I attached a picture of the Status menu.
Please help me! I found no solution to this problem : / I will be very thankful!!!
PS: the Wi-Fi stopped working, it just tries to connect, but it doesn't.
It just says that your device has a problematic radio.
Use warranty.

Thanks for the answer!
But is there nothing else I could do?... like, delete all system data and reflash with other ROM or something like that?...
I saw that some Galaxy SII or SIII had a similar problem and there is a FIX for it. Couldn't I use that for my phone? :s
Yes. Flash a firmware on it because this 76% of battery u said indicates that ur system isn't a sotck rom but a modded and bugged one.
Flash any official rom tp your razr model/region.
Its a software problem I think.
Here you'll find all u need

I think I'm the one which such a bad luck, because I searched for the solution so much and found nothing :/ only for SII and SIII : /

plzzz help me...
i will be very thankful to u.........
Hi!
Since you are new here, it might be the best time for you to read the forum rules just to get you informed.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81 check it out!
1. try inserting your sim in another phone, if you find a signal in the other phone, then there might be something wrong with the s2..
if there is still no signal, then it is a network related problem and call your network operator
2. if you find a signal in the other phone and not in your s2, then you must flash a modem..
DEFINITION:
*Modem/Radio/Baseband is all the same thing and can be seen by going to Settings - About Phone - Baseband. It's basically a driver which receives and sends Mobile Network signals as well as handling switching between GPRS, 3G, HSDPA etc....... (but not WiFi connection, that and switchover between Mobile Network and WiFi is handled by the kernel). Reasoning as to why Modem has no influence on WiFi can be found in this post by Entropy - http://<b>http://forum.xda-developer...count=6556</b>
USAGE:
*There is no one "Best" modem for everybody. Unfortunately you actually have to try to find the modem which works perfectly for you on performance, strength and battery drain levels. The good thing is that from my lengthy 8 month experience with Galaxy S2, I'm happy to report that there are a few modems that seem to perform well geographically for most users. These modems are KE7, KH3, KI3, KI4, KL1, LPS, NEKF2, NELP2 & NELP3.
COMPATIBILITY:
*Modems do not need to be matched up with firmware like it's done with ROMs and Kernels. For example, a KI4 modem can be used with a KL1 ROM and the other way round. The only thing you need to pay attention to is what model your SGS2 is. 9100 and 9100 modems are compatible across both models. However, 9100 model and US variants are not cross compatible since the devices are designed to work on different bands.
INSTALLATION:
*I will add a flashing guide to post number 5 soon, hence why it says "Work in progress.....". For the moment I suggest asking Mr. Google to do a search for you. Bottom line is, for CWM packaged modems you need to be rooted and have a working CWM recovery (flash the CWM modem zip within recovery). For .TAR packages, all you need to do is flash it while your device is in Download Mode and connected to ODIN. The .TAR file should be selected in the PHONE field. Don't touch anything else.

Hi Friends,
i have Samsung Captivate SGH I897. two months back it started showing error " Data Network Not available" and i was unable to make any call.
So i did some research over internet and installed Gingerbread 2.3.3 version. now the message shown is "Mobile Network Not available" when i try to make a call. i found some links over internet about the root cause of this issue is IMEI is reset to default 004999010640000/07. I also could not restore the backup of nv_data.bin files as the backup file size is also zero bytes. Kindly help me out in restoring my IMEI number .
Regards,
Ravi

Hi im newbie here and im in trouble, so lets get to the point. I have Samsung galaxy ace s5830i. I have rooted it and installed Clockworkmod recovery. Before this problem I could make calls, send sms etc... But then few days after rooting i couldnt make calls. It just said that "mobile network is not available"
When i put sim-card to other phone, i could make calls and send sms. I connected phone to pc with usb-cable via Kies, Kies said something that "sim-card is not set, the data transfer cannot continue". I have searched everywhere but no...
I hope that u will answer as fast as possible.

EDIT: I forgot to say that i dont see my IMEI at all when i dial #*06#. And what I have read, I think its all about losing that EFS folder what makes that cant call, send sms etc etc...
Can u see ur IMEI or baseband version when u click About phone in settings?
Sent from my GT-S5660 using xda premium
I can se baseband version(S5830iXXLK1) but IMEI is unknown
Now i have unrooted and installed stock recovery(i think so), but still "mobile network is not available"... seems that the last option is take it to maintenance (im not sure is that the right word but..)

Look for the serial, if it starts with 00000 or something like that, you nees to use Ariza Patch.

If it helps...
...my wife had this problem last week. Phone was saying that it was not registered on Network. Looked around on the net, checked settings on phone and found that if you turn the phone off for a few minutes and back on, it re-registered to the network. Very basic, don't know why it did it, but it's now OK

About the other solution, i'm going to try it but i don't think it will work for me..
Is there a final solution? It is impossible that we can't solve the problem..
Thank you all..
