Having problems with writing to internal sd after JB update - AT&T LG Optimus G

Anyone else having permissions issues after doing the update? My internal sd is read only and I'm not sure how to fix it because I haven't rerooted yet.
I was on stock 97010o, LGPST'D TO 97011c, then updated without issue. Is there a way to fix this without rooting?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Seriously me too!
I can't even use my internal storage, this question definitely needs attention
Did we update in the wrong manner?

No problems here. I, and a bunch of other apps can write to it just fine.

Im going to go back to o, root and unlock, then run the partition fix (I forgot to do this and I had done the n4 conversion previously). Hopefully this will fix the write probz I'm having

That did the trick...make sure you use the camera fix before updating to avoid read only problems.

Can you run it after the update

Noob question what is the partition fix?

When you convert to nexus it did a partition change there is a fix to put it back

I don't think I ever did convert mine to the N4. Hope I didn't screw things up.
To try to fix it I did a reset and it even wiped my external 32GB microSD card. There went my backups.

Mine is working great, I am moving files around, this is what I did:
I was running O and went from O to C (using the file on these forums), downloaded and installed JB,restarted, and when JB was up and running and everything was tested I did a factory reset. I like to start from scratch, although it is a bit annoying sometimes.
Happy flashing.

Dang, it happened. SGT 10.1 wifi

It finally happened, frowny face. OK. I was on Bindroid rom, went to go nandroid Cm9 kang and got a system restore error. Tried to mount usb storage thru recovery but it gives me a no directory error. Doesn't boot into ROM. Stuck at boot logo. If I can somehow put a ROM on storage I would be able to reflash a ROM and get it working again. I forgot how to get into adb. If its possible. Anyone have any ideas?

This should help. It's helped me and I've seen it help many others too.
Goto http://www.teamovercome.net/p7500/?page_id=5
Towards the bottom of the guide There is a section called Restocking yer system.
Follow that on down.
Make sure you use the files for you device (7500 or 7510).
Make sure you triple check that you follow everything as suggested. The most common one I see missed is the last step of doing a factory reset/restore.
Let us know how it goes, as this keeps us trying to help when we know we're successful.
Also if you have any issues come up that you can't figure just ask.

OK great, it did work, but be warned, it will ERASE EVERYTHING IN THE INTERNAL MEMORY. But everything is peachy. Thanks mate.

Great to see you've got it going.
Maybe I should add that it's going to completey rewrite and erase everything, I just took it for granted that it it was obvious.
Small price to pay if you're stuck in a loop and can't do anything else though, I think.

Help fixing sleep of death

Alright guys so here's the story. My friend gave me his galaxy s to put a custom rom on (cm9) he got me to do it because his galaxy s froze and was quite laggy on froyo. He doesn't know anything about how Any of this works though so he got me to do it.
Everything went perfect but he is telling me that it keeps turning off and cant be turned on without a battery pull. So basically SOD....
It just dawned on me today while I was under volting that maybe voltage was the reason for all of this. All processors are made different and maybe his was power hungry. Cause if it doesn't get right voltage, it freezes. (Just like mine with to much undervolt). That explains stock freezes??. And now on cm9, with deep idle, we get SOD instead. So I am thinking of raising the 100mhz and 200mhz voltages to fix it.
But I want to cover ALL my bases cause it isn't my phone and is pretty bad, so I want to know if you think that will fix it and what else i can do to ensure it doesn't happen again.

EFS backup

Hi community was wondering of anyone knows where I can find an app I can use the back up my EFS folder.
I'm on stock Rom with root and Busy box installed.
Thanks

I don't think anyone has found a way yet. Alot of people have lost it while flashing.

Doesn't exist yet, but many smart developers are looking into it. You can search and find a number of threads open on the subject.
Actually I lied: the efs folder you can backup, but it doesn't appear to contain the imei, assuming that's what you are actually asking for.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Just backup all the folders

Thanks guys. For now I've been flashing kernels do you think this is risky to do when it comes to losing IMEI?

JB LG OPTIMUS G FREEGEE error.

If anyone knows how to fix it please help. Thanks in advance.

I've never seen that but they mention in the app to hit them up on IRC if you're able too. Give that a try and also try using LGNPST using teenybins. That may help out as well.
Sent from my LG-E970 using Tapatalk 2
I would use tennybin but I'm not sure if I would be able to get into download mode since they said not to reboot because I could possibly get hard bricked. The part that failed contains download mode and if I reboot I could possibly not boot back up or get into download mode.
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
I actually got it fixed. Problem was I was not properly rooted and so I was not asked superuser permission. Therefore nothing actually really happened

Hi, I too have the same issue as you faced. It didnt ask for superuser permission too. So will i end up hard bricking if i rebooted? BTW my phone is Sprint LG Optimus G LS-970. Wonder why the rooting failed.
EDIT: Device was still unrooted (I thought I did the rooting properly). Thats why Freegee went haywire and threw me hardware brick prone error on rebooting.

(Q) Am I SOL?

I wiped my system, andhata. Can boot to recovery/Fatboy. But u don't think I can flash via desktop like with sinetgubf simialbr to Odin?
