Hi guys. I have/had SE X10mini with miniCM7 installed and i decided to update this great ROM to the latest version.
I downloaded flashtool-0.9.10.1-windows.exe and E10_2.6.32.60-nAa-05.ftf. Installed the flashtool and drivers, connected my phone in flash mode, flashed it successfully, but when disconnected the phone and turn it on, i was able to see just the boot animation and the screen says CWM based recovery v6.... Just like the user here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2217007
Ive tried to reflash the kernel again but unfortunately i chose X10_V1_BLRelock.ftf instead E10_2.6.32.60-nAa-05.ftf at the flashtool and after that the phone wont turn on, wont charge, wont reset (via PWR button and HOME button), wont nothing :crying:
Is there something to do about it or the phone is irreversible fcuked up?

Well, Im from Bulgaria and just find a guy who is selling X10i for about 40EUR here - ht tp://prodavalnik.com/sony-ericsson-xperia-mini-e-10-i-i20819133
What do u mean jtagging? Wasnt it something for the XBOX?

A JTAG-machine is a box that can completely restore a bricked phone using connections in the phone itself, sort of the way Sony Ericsson does it in the factory.
Repair shops usually have one, but they're too expensive for individuals.
40 euros is not a bad deal for an x10mini I suppose, depending on how old it is, but you could still ask a repair shop what they charge for repairing yours
Aha, got it. I doubt the dealers here, in Bulgaria own this JTAG-machine, so they probably should send the phone to the nearest service center and I think this will cost me much than 40 EUR, so maybe ill just buy new one.
The guy from the advert sell full, non-used package - most ppl here dont know how to put custom ROM, and after the stock sucks they think the phone sucks, i dont complain about it

try using flashtool. directions are in the link.
U mentioned you have a x10i correct, then pick the firmware you want with the x10i with the latest baseband. if you still have questions, keep asking.
rooting is next if you go that route then, flashing ROMS, which are associated with a baseband
here is the link for flashtool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
Yeah dude, use flashtool.... just flash it back... tht worked for me... i bricked my phone once.... now its rollin again....

ok, i`ll try...
i can`t place my phone in Flashmode he gonna automatic to the Sony Ericsson logo...
What did i wrong?...
fire up SEUS, get to the bit where it say to connect your phone.
take the battery out for 10 seconds or so..
plug the micro USB cable into your phone only..
hold the back key (and keep it held until SEUS tells you to release it later in the process), push the battery back in
push the USB cable into your PC.
Should boot up into flash mode and SEUS will do it's thing!.
Done it before
Hi mate done it today since im new at rooting if you were trying to install a theme or rom, you might not have their firmware, if this is the case then you just from that Sony Ericsson screen keep pushing the Back or <-- key, this will boot you into xrecovery and just restore... if you havent made a back up, then you could try replace the rom you have back with the Se offical 2.1 rom which you can find in Android dev. and just launch it back with that... Hope this worked!!
I was hoping someone could be of help. I have an old SE X10 that I was going to give to a friend. I had an old wolfbreak rom on it. Xrecovery etc The bootloader is locked, but I am having some serious problems getting flashtool to do anything with the phone. So I decided to go into recovery and wipe etc. Now it wont boot and flashtool doesnt seem to wanna do anything either. Anyone have any advice on how to get my device back up and running?
Tried running update service to reset, I can get it to try, but it keeps saying im on the latest software. I really have no clue what to do with flashtool just sitting at preparing files for flashing, forever
can u go to xrecovery..???
If yes, then put a ROM on SD card and flash it again.
Nope, the back button does nothing @ sony logo. Ahhh frustrating!

In SEUS or PCCompanion even when it says you are on the latest software there is an option to "update anyway" or "repair"

oh, good.
it's disappointing to know the service center didn't fix your phone. i guess warranty is just good for factory defects.
exactly ...if its a software fault we are better off solving it on our own from xda than service center...... they r only good for hardware faults..... and most of them are not covered in warranty i think
but they took my warranty papers and cancel guarantee...what a bastards

if guys still on issues one and only best idea to overcome the problem is to relock the bootloader. it can be flashed using flashtool like we do for .tft files or sin files. try it out it really worked for those regreting OTA updates.

Okay, I was told to go here since people on AndroidForums.com had no clue on what to do.
Okay, here are my problems -
I received this Android from my mom and it was running Android 2.1. When I first got it, I turned it on without charging it. It booted up, came to the lockscreen, then about a second later turned off and now refuses to boot. I have tried flashing it with generic Android 2.1 and Stock ATT Android 2.1. But it refuses to do nothing but flashes a green light and vibrates. But that all it does. And PC Companion, SEUS, FlashTool have done nothing! So what do I do now? It accepts Flashes and restores, but it's like the Boot Files are corrupted. And I cannot JTAG, so is there any other options?
Thanks in Advanced,
NetworkLabs

No, because I charged it all night and tried to turn it on with no success. So that isn't the problem...
Flash 2.3 firmware then do root, recovery(just in case you don't have it) and a kernel.

I had quite the similar issue with my x10i. One day it just decided to stop working completely. No lights no nothing, tried everything, just dead. So I contacted SE and they said they could do nothing if the software had been tampered with, no matter how much I assured them if was a hardware related fault.. So I went to my carrier and they sent me to a phone repairing company (Fonemenders here in Ireland), who try fix the phone themselves by getting parts in from the manufacturers. If they deem your phone irreparable they will get you a new replacement. This is exactly what happened me. So the other day I received an email saying that seeing as my x10 couldn't be fixed, I'd be receiving a Sony Arc as a replacement! So i'm happily waiting for the Arc to get here while I use my moms old x8.
So my best advice if nothing is working, go to your carrier and hopefully they can get you through to a phone repairing place, and I wish you as good luck as my own
Well, I cannot replace the Phone since I am not really using it as a Phone. It will not be activated, it's just to mess around with. And I really don't want to buy a Samsung Galaxy Player just so I don't have to deal with this. So I'm going to try the Stock ROM now and see if it works. Do I have to wait for boot up or something?
Try to flash with SE Companion. It will work.
Well, I restored using SEUS because it's the only one that recognized the phone, other than FlashTool. After it restored, it said Unplug the phone and wait for first time. It will take a while. So I am currently doing that. Hope it turns on!
Well, I've restored it and it still sits here. What's next?
I am going to try to flash it using s1tool and see if that helps. Also, can someone please respond with what they think is wrong?
Okay, here's another question - In order to load the firmware you told me, does my Bootloader have to be UNLOCKED? If so, how do I do that without ROOT... Because I cannot do anything with the Phone.

I have a question for you... is the phone rooted ? If not then try following
1) start your PC companion and select update software
2) if software say, your phone is up to date then use here will be repair option you need to select it.
3) once you select repair it will download stock GB 2.3.3 and after download it will ask you to plug you phone in flash mode
4) remove phones battery and connect the phone to your laptop.
5) now place the battery back while holding down the back button (3rd button from left) { this step is important as this will get your phone into flash mode.
6) above steps should get your phone back onto stock unrooted ROM...
if you want then use flash tool to root it again but be careful with kernels and bootloader
Set from my Transforer TF101 using xda app-developers app
Well, I think I have tried that and it still won't boot. But I will try again. (PS - Sorry for this old thread, but I just needed a break on working on it! I am going to try again and see if it works!)
Hello guys, it's been a long time since my phone got bricked. Not sure if it's soft or hard bricked. I was on the plane and using the phone just fine and I turned it off for landing and the phone is stuck at the Sony Logo ever since. I was able to get into the CWM recovery and reinstall the rom I was on, which I had for months and even use the AROMA installer (touching didn't work though so I used the volume buttons). I unlocked the bootloader. I installed other kernels. I relocked it. I flashed many official roms. Seus would not let me update the phone because I have the latest version even though I install old versions using Flashtool. Could it be a hardware problem? Should I just throw the phone in the trash?. I don't want to buy a new phone right now because I am studying abroad in 3 months and I will be getting a branded phone (can't decide between HTC ONE and S4 )
Do you know anything about testpoints and such? Also is this considered a soft or hard bricked phone? thanks

So did you try to flash the stock gingerbread/ics rom and it even didn't boot up? Have you tried charging the battery?
