Hello everyone! I have a strange issue with my Bluetooth when running the cm10.1 official nightly roms. On the initial flash when booting up Bluetooth turns on and comes up as it should. However, if after flashing i leave Bluetooth turned on and reboot the phone, Bluetooth is then permanently disabled. The only way to fix it is to reflash the rom. Is anyone else having this issue or am i the only one?
Thanks,
m0t0
Ditto. Reporting in 4.2.2 (RC1)
XT912, same symptoms.

I have a similar problem. I can't get the Bluetooth to turn on. I select "on" and it just goes back to off. I really don't want to have to reflash it.

wipe cache and davlik worked for me
Only wiping the davlik cache worked for me. Not sure why, or how often I will have to do this.

Same for me. Actually had this issue on 2 different ROMs (CM & PA) running JB 4.2. Wiping only the dalvik cache restored bluetooth functionality.

Today I updated to the CM 9-20121028-nightly-haida. Since then I have no more wireless. The whole point is greyed out and when I go into the settings in the Wi-Fi, he veruscht to activate all the time. Is this a known bug? Is that still the case with several? Is there a workaround? Previously, I had the cm-9-20121014-NIGHTLY-haida because everything worked.

did you flashed new kernel. did you wiped cache and dalvik cache?
in your thread is no question. its not quite good to open new threads like this - furthermore you could have found the answer in CM9.1 thread..youst to mention..
best regards
I have no installed the cm-9-20121021-NIGHTLY. With this version, I can use WIFI. Is the kernel different from this to cm-9-20121028-NIGHTLY?

cant tell in which way the kernel differs-read changelog for information. but since your wifi doesnt works i suggest to flash new kernel and wipe. and if kernel is provided with rom update i would always recommend to flash it!
I am currently using CM 10 custom rom and I cant get my bluetooths to work where i can hear someone talking to me using it.
This is my 3rd set of different BT headsets and I now believe that its this phone rather than the BTs itself.
Does anyone have any suggestions other than remove the BT and re-pair it because i have done this a hundred times so far and it not done anything?
if CM 10 is not a good rom to use with this phone can someone point me in the right direction to find the best rom for this phone?
Thanks:
i don't know if you've been reading about all the major issues CM10 is current facing since we finely managed to get data fixed.. some peoples bluetooth might still be broken or bugged (i havent checked all week because ive been busy with the Q&A section)... if you want a stable rom you'll have to go through the roms and see what bugs they still have if any.. i'm pretty sure only a few rom's are "stable" without alot of issues
^ What he said.
Try installing the bluetooth fix on top of Sport's latest unofficial CM10 (currently 1-11-2013).

Bluetooth fix:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36453480&postcount=3005
Be sure to do a full wipe (data, dalvik, cache) using 4ext recovery and have SmartFlash enabled when flashing CM10. You might know this already but just covering the bases... so:
1. Full wipe
2. Flash CM10 from zip
3. Flash BT Fix
4. Try using bluetooth
5. Post results in CM10 bugs thread
I don't know why you suspect the bluetooth not working is a hardware problem but if you want to be certain the best thing to do would be to do a full wipe, flash stock RUU and try to use your bluetooth headset. Once you could confirm that bluetooth radio is functioning you would then move forward with testing it on CM10.

Hi Thanks for replying so quickly.
If you look at the screenshot that i have attached.
Im running the latest CM 10 verision
Cant i just flash the BT fix or do i really have to redo the whole rom install all over again?
Thanks
So I flashed SlimBean 2.2 not too long ago, restored my apps and settings via Titanium Backup, and everything was working smoothly... until last night when I rebooted the phone and the WiFi would not turn on. It was working flawlessly before, but now when I got to settings and try and enable it, it says "turning on..." and then never does. Data, bluetooth, and everything else seems to be working just fine, but the WiFi refuses to start up and scan any local networks. I cleared my Dalvik and my cache, yet to no avail. Any type of assistance would be appreciated. I would hate to have to change ROMs, since this one was working so well before this incident.

You could try flashing the ROM back over top of itself after wiping cache and dalvik.

I am just stabbing in the dark here but maybe try clearing data for settings app.

Tried that and, yet again, no luck. I honestly can't think of a single reason why my WiFi shouldn't be starting up like normal, especially since it was working normally before that reboot. Any other Slimbean users out there have/had any similar problems with their WiFi not starting?
Well, I just did a clean sweep of my phone (wiped system, data, as well as cache and dalvik) and re-flashed the Slimbean rom and the WiFi is working again! Although, I'm worried this incident might come up again. I'll be sure to update this post if anything occurs. Thanks everyone.
I've been having some issues with WiFi connecting using Dirty Unicorns, as well as random reboots. And i know several other people have too, from looking through that thread. I even posted a bug report on their Jira bug tracking system.
The jewel maintainer for DU spoke with another maintainer of the ROM for a different device (who also runs it on a Jewel) and neither one of them is having the same problems, so it seems like it's probably something on my end. The one thing that we noticed was different was the radios.
I ran the RUU to get my new partitions, which updated me to the latest radios. Apparently Mazda (as he's known here) used a different method, And still had older radios. His radio is 1.12.11.1119 and he has not experienced any issues.
I'm on 1.13.11.1105 and get random reboots and occasional inability to attach to my home WiFi until I reboot, after which it immediately connects.
I guess I'm wondering, is it advisable to change radios back to an older version, if it had the possibility of correcting my issues? And if so, how do I do it? And if I do it and it doesn't help, can I easily go back to the most recent radio, or do I have to go through the RUU again?
I don't have any experience flashing radios, so if it's different than just flashing a zip, perhaps a tip on how to do it would also be appropriate.
Thanks for any and all advice, I really would appreciate some feedback.
I have ran into a similar wifi problem on the new build posted today. The wifi wont turn at all on this build v7.8
Anyone have better luck with dirty flashing the ROM over top of DU 7.7? Sometimes that helps.

I'm willing to be a guinea pig. I'll do a nandroid of my current setup and do a dirty Flash. I'll let you know how it goes.
Well, I did it. I dirty flashed and I have Wi-Fi. Now, since I have my backup, I think I'm going to do a clean flash and see what happens.

I just did a clean install of 7.8 and still have Wi-Fi. What did you wipe before installing?

Try wiping system and data too (like it says in the Dirty Unicorn ROM's OP.) That's what I did. It might make a difference.

My WiFi died kind of randomly, so I dirty flashed a custom kernel. WiFi is back now.
no wifi
WiFi stopped working in version 7.8. I wouldn't care so much if Sprint had decent LTE coverage and speeds.
[ROM] Dirty Unicorns 4.4.4 {Jewel} v7.8 & v7.9 [Both New/Old Partition] no wifi

What kernel are you using? I had been using Bubba, but recently I was reading that WiFi doesn't work at all on it, and since it's no longer being supported, i don't think there's much hope of getting it working again.
Greetings!
No matter which KITKAT ROM i flash - Paranoid / Snapshot / Archidroid, i never can connect on any wi-fi.
Yes the password typed is corret, the signal is strong to excellent quality, and no matter what i try, the system doesnt get any connection through wifi.
3G is working fine tough.
Anyone has any idea about what it might be? The ROMS run just perfectly, but no wi-fi is just not bearable lol.
BTW....i restored my previous system backup which runs on SENTINEL 6.0 ROM and the wi-fi connects just perfectly...
Samsung S3 I-9300
Please any help....thanks a lot

Have you tried a proper clean install? As in wipe /data /system /preload, cache and delvik cache? (Always backup)
Some roms require a restart before wifi works, not doing a clean install, or using an incompatible kernel can also cause.
Yeah I had done a complete wipe before installing it. And also I had performed several reboots with no success after it.
The weird thing is that 3g connection runs flawlessly.
No clue at all why is this happening.
