My HOX+ keeps telling me to add my SIM pin number (at least 8 times a day!)
I recall someone a while ago having the same problem but can't find the thread to fund the solution.
I'm original UK stock rom unrooted.
The wife's HOX+ has the same problem.
Any suggestions other than sending back under warranty?

for two phones to display the same issue I would check to see if theirs a common app you both have running on your phones which may be messing with your settings?
Or remove PIN request for the SIM Card.
So I get in on mine, it's actually an issue with the sim card tray not keeping it tight, generally it can be triggered by pressing hard on the power button, being that the tray is right behind it. Solution? Put a small piece of scotch tape on the back of your sim card to keep it tight, it worked for me

That or cut out a small piece of paper and tape it to it

Sorted!
I took the selotape off the back of the SIM card and replaced with a sticky label.
No SIM error since!!! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I opened this thread to post sites of repair parts for HOX+.
It's very difficult to find them because the phone is new and the "+" is not identified in the search engines!
Anyway...The code for the HOX+ is S728e.
I'd like to compares them with HOX components (like back housing).
(We know already that the super-battery works on the One X also!)
Thanks!! :good:

I have a One X Plus version since one month, but my camera glass is gone scratched because it fell on the ground!
I think that the housing is in fact completely the same as normal ONE X, and also the inside positions of the antennas are the same, so I could exchange it with a normal housing, but I like this new version much more (it's darker and material/colours are really much more beautiful in my opinion).
I contacted an Italian reseller on ebay and he lets me know in one week if he can have some....if you want I can inform you if/when available!

What about replacement screens? I've had this phone about 2 weeks and its already cracked. Really tired of phones that can't survive the inevitable 2 foot drop.

Pretty sure you can just buy a one x screen the +plus uses the same display but a different manufacture so no big deal

Do you think the screen is replaceable without having to change out the LCD? I see mixed results on other posts...
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
The screen I think is the same as the one x. The battery I know for sure is not the same as the one x. The plus has an upgraded 2100mAh while its predecessor has a 1800mAh battery

What I'm wondering is can we take the antenna out of our att x+ and put it into the int. Body????

WARNING: the international X+ housing will NOT fit the TELUS X+. I tried.
If you want a housing for the HTC One X or X+ from AT&T or Canadian carriers YOU MUST get a housing that is made for AT&T either one x or x+.
How did it not fit?

Ok so here y go guys it looks to me that other than the bigger piece of heat tape and the color that the one xl and one x+ back housings are same design on the inside I think this would mean that u can use a white housing from one xl on ur one x+!!!

No, don't worry, I had trouble understanding, as well. It was a very nondescript title.
Thanksgiving: I bought mine retail price on launch day back around thanksgiving. Had the SIM card trouble, but it only came up using one ROM. Havent used that ROM since and havent seen the SIM error since (never ejected SIM nor reseated it)
St Patrick's Day: Had my phone in by back pocket and was kinda tipsy and well, jumped up actin a fool and it jumped out my pocket too! and fell onto the concrete.. luckily it only cracked the bottom corner, and that crack is nowhere in the way of my screen.
Still rocking strong. Wont send it back for a replacement bc i aint want the OTA
Still on my original DNA....bought it on launch day. Its in a diztronic case and hasn't been dropped. Only thing that happened is the usb flap broke, but I was contemplating ripping that out anyway!
Got mine in December, still mint other than the USB door coming off on its own.

Same here, bought mine second week it came out [hesitently because of first round lemons] but my phone has been nothing but gold for me. Equipped it with an OtterBox at purchase and dropped it over 10 ft while at work. Everything still fully functional including usb flap - which you just need to learn how to have a gentle touch with.
What I've done with my USB flap is just slide it to the left [at the point it's connected] and then is should seat back into position. No notion of it possibly breaking
Sure... I'll bite. To answer the first question, the point of this thread is to run his post count up. But, I am on my second DNA. The first one I hard bricked trying to turn s-off. It was actually just really bad luck. It was to the portion of the process in which it erases and re-writes the boot image, and I lost power. Insta-brick. Anyhow, my DNA is totally durable. My 18 month has thrown it down on the tile floor more times than I can count, and the phone doesn't have any damage. Overall I am more than satisfied with the durability of this device.
I've seen a couple of people have had this issue. I bought my One 3 weeks ago and noticed that on the bottom speaker one of the holes looked like it was dirty(no jokes please!!) . After looking at it closer, I noticed that the paint had fallen off and exposed the metal. I contacted AT&T and they told me that since I was out of the 14 days, I had to talk with HTC. HTC told me that they don't cover that because it is physical damage. I told them that I hadn't damaged the phone. It is in perfect condition, no scratches or scuffs anywhere, just the one hole with no paint. Has anybody else seen this or had any luck talking to HTC about this? Thanks and any ideas are appreciated.
You have a 1 year warranty with AT&T, I suggest using it

thanks, I will continue to call everyone I can until I get a helpful answer.
So I bought a htc one x + online recently.. On the back it says "not for sale", engraved into the plastic.
and above the screen on the plastic it has 8 numbers to the left of the speaker.
I can post a screenshot to prove it, but the phone is white and 32 gig, but its a one x +.
It seems this must have been a development phone?
It came with a at&t box, with matching serial, has at&t bootup animation.
Just wondering if you folks knew anything! thanks
btw the phone works perfect haha
Check the CID

Maybe it was a sample model in a store . U know the ones atached to the desk that u play with .
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
Those are all engraved on the phone.
S-Off means you have a dev device so don't worry about flashing a kernel manually and you can get supercID
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 4
It's probably a HTC dev phone, one used by HTC developers themselves. Thats why it has extra serial numbers ect, to stop people doing what they did... Robbing it and selling it on ebay lol

I'm an idiot. I was driving and had my phone on my lap. When I parked, I forgot it was in my lap and it fell into the parking lot when I got out. Now there's a chip off the top right corner and a small scratch on the camera. I'm upset.

So sad But, lets be honest here, that could've been much worse!
I've had that issue before, I'll get up and the phone falls on concrete. That is the moment where everything stops for a second.
Well...... If it REALLY bothers you. You could always smash the screen and get a free replacement via the 6 month warranty program lol Unless they just actually replace the screen
But in all seriousness that's a bummer.
wow sorry man. That happened to me with my note 10.1 2014 edition. I pulled my laptop bag from my car and somehow my tablet fell out and landed on gravel. camera got messed up and the worst part of it was it's the white version so there were a ton of black scratches all over the back and screen. Stupid gorilla glass...

You would have to supply them with a credit card, in which case they will send you out a replacement and a box to send yours back in. If you dont send yours back, your card gets charged..guess thats how it works
No case?

That's the route I would go than, at least me personally. That chip would drive me nuts lol. And you could make a drop test vid for xda members lol
If that's true that's pretty awesome. Clean exchange and you won't be without a phone for a bit. Nice job HTC.

If your within your 14 days call at&t and they will hold $200 on your card ship you a new one with a box to send the old one back once they receive the damaged device your money will be released or you can call them and setup the exchange and do it in a at&t store that way they don't hold your money.
