This is the original tab section. But I would definitely take it back to the store you got it and exchange it. I wouldn't want it if the seal was broken

If the seal was broken, then don't even buy it

I bet it had mechanical issues. screen broke, cables, inner wires, maybe the old user split some tea on it

Hi... I remember someone asking about compatibility between the A1/S100 screens and the Liquid E. Just wanted to confirm that the A1/S100 screens work just fine in the E. I replaced it about an hour ago and everything is working great. The screen and cables look identical to the one inside my E to begin with so it was a matter of a direct swap.
If interested, got the sucka from "ibestone" off the bay. Came with tools too (although I think the screws are a T5 and not the T6 given).

And here's the guide posted up by someone else if you wanna take a stab at it. It's really not too bad aside from pulling the screen/front plastic off of the plastic chassis.

hi there, this is a messager from hong kong
Just for your information,my liquid did broken the screen itself 3 days after i took it
to ACER for a sim slot repair(out of warranty at that time, so i did pay for it)..
so i did went back to acer, and kind of "make a noise" at the center...
finially Acer gives me a free new screen....
PS:there is actually a bunch of liquid users had experience screen with Liquid, and people did build a group on "facebook".
and i've heard about few causes that "Free-Screen repair" from acer HK..
Thanks man, I'm currently living in China and I asked few shops over here couldn't find it, with these two links I can get it done, thanks for the help and sorry for the late reply..

Display broken - need your help

Hello,
Unfortunately it has now caught my Tablet bad - the display is broken, glass is "cracked" (i wanted to post a picture but i cant because i have less than 10 post on that forum)
The device is about 3-4 months old. What can you recommend? New glass order and give someone a solder? Send it to Archos? or just sell it?
regards

That sounds bad. You should contact archos and ask them what to do. If they don't take it to warranty, you could try getting a new glass and installing it. Nobody propably wants to buy it.

I've just cracked mine whilst I was on holiday (collapsed a baby buggy with the tablet in the undertray!)
Anyway the screen is badly cracked and the touchscreen has failed.
I have sent a message to Archos but as it was caused by accidental damage I can't see them being willing to replace and I imagine they will charge a great deal for a repair.
Does anyone know where to source a replacement screen and digitiser?
Sorry but what has caught your tablet? You don't specify???

[Q] Logic Board Swap?

Hello all on the xda, hope you're all doing well.
Once again I prove my nooby prowess by bombarding the forums and hopefully asking a question a few others have lingering.
A local seller has a Galaxy SII for sale for £70 as it's got an IMEI bar on it.
If I were to take the S2 and put my logic board in it, would that also transfer the IMEI and my current system of ParanoidAndroid?
I know it sounds like quite a stupid question but the opportunity could be there for me to have what is essentially a brand new S2 in noble black for 70 quid as my screen has been smashed by a blundering drunkard who thought they'd try and bottle me and instead, hit my phone.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and as the weekend fast approaches, may I wish everyone on the forums a good one
Peace out
When you say logic board are you referring to the mother board?
I'm no expert, but the way I see it, if you replace the whole motherboard and all components of that phone with yours, it should work since it sunds similar to replacing a broken screen+digitizer which many have done successfully.
Maybe some of the folks here who know more can give a verdict, but IMO £70 for a brand new unlocked S2, I'd give it a shot.
Good luck!

Of course it should work. The other way would be to use the screen off of the new one and put it on yours(depends on model colour).
I would also suspect the other phone will have more problems than hes telling you.
Thanks for the responses, I found that the phone was just locked out via a lock pattern haha! Guy sold it but will be getting another for sale soon as he works within a mobile phone industry with Orange (which I'm on) so that's alright how difficult does everyone reckon a complete reshell including screen and digitizer would be? thanks guys

that would be an expensive affair though
If you can back yourself to do it, it'd be pretty cheap. Many vids on YouTube showing you how to replace the screen and digitizer. Seems fiddly..but worth a try if you know what you're doing. Getting it done professionally would be a tad expensive.

hi, do you know where to buy a working logic board even used? Can't find on ebay
Yeah eBay.
You can try Amazon...

a interesting link about gorilla glass from corning
How tough is Corning® Gorilla® Glass 2? Corning puts it to the test.

It is interesting because very people have doubt about the flexibility about glass screen replacement parts (ebay or amazon 20 box stuffs).
best regards,
I just contacted Samsung and asked how much it would cost to replace the glass on an S3. They quoted me at $131.31!
Glass can be replaced but must be carefull and dust can be problem if goes under the screen it looks ugly on sunlight.

Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 repair parts?

Hey guys,
I'm looking to replace a few parts on my Samsung Galaxy S2.
The only parts that are damaged is the grill at the front on the top of screen and the ensuing edging plastic around the screen.
Any ideas what parts to buy? (I'm from England)

Hi!
Look on Ebay and Amazone. Don't forget to search in the different threads, the question already been asked! :good:
Service manuals might help you work out what you need as well, they've been posted here from time to time, if an XDA search doesn't dig them up here, a Google search will elsewhere.
