GSM call on Sony tablet P 3G - Sony Tablet S

Hi,
Any chance to have GSM call on Sony tablet P 3G even by software upgrade or developer patch?
Or there's hardware lag causing this issue?
Thanks

Nobody has ever tried. The modem card is F5521gw though, so you can research via that route if you want to explore further.

I didnt think the Xperia S had an LTE hardware. Maybe it is just present because the Xperia Ion has it. There are rumors of a Xperia S being released in the US unlocked though.

Mobile internet data eratic

I have had my Xperia ray for around a month now, and it's annoying me every so often the data connection seems to hang, the upload and download symbols near the signal strength just flash on and off and I get connection time-outs or sometimes it goes extremely slow like dial up speeds. Sometimes I attempt to reload the page and the data connection comes back to life, it's so annoying, especially when I am using it as a wifi hotspot on my PC. I am using the right settings, I am on T-Mobile UK and using the access point name general.t-mobile.uk. Prior to the Sony Ray, I had a Nokia 6700 classic which was totally faultless, so I know it can't be the network. I am currently using baseband 72 with JJDoctor's GBlite rom. I know it suggests using baseband 58 but it's just the same no matter what baseband I use or if I use ICS or Gingerbread. I really would love to get this data connection problem sorted once and for all, it's so annoying. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
I got the same problem, any solution?

So it looks like I am not the only one. What baseband are you using?
Basebands 70 and up are ICS basebands so you will encounter probs when using them on GB the highest GB base band you can use is 66, use the search button I have explained basebands already . If you don't know what baseband fits your rom libs then post a question in your roms thread asking the dev what version it is based on and go from there and finally please post questions in the correct sections and don't junk up the dev section

I have the same problem, now i'm with jj 3.1 rom and 72 baseband, sometimes need to go in airplane mode then tne data connection restart, sometimes need to reboot the phone.
I've the same problem on Sony stock firmware, all version..
Guys are your network carriers making any improvements in your area's? If they are then that would cause your probs. The only times i have had any probs with signal is if I have had the wrong bb or my carrier has been upgrading their network that's it.

No, their not.
I think this is a problem caused by the phone, not the carrier

I think the same
I have tried all the roms on my ray and never have any probs with my data connection and I do a lot of surfing and heavy downloading however if I use a different carrier then the data service is just slow and backs up even with hsdpa connection. My current carrier are fast reliable and never drop out on me. Devstaffandroid I thought you would know a lot more than me about this considering you are building a cm9 rom for the x8 ??

A logcat should show up your problems, have you pulled a logcat to see what your ray is doing?

Hmm, no, but its hard to do that, this problem appears randomly, and after like 10-15 seconds it dissapears again.

Write this in the terminal emulator:
logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt
Then upload the file logcat.txt that you find in the root of your sdcard

It's a problem when the phone goes to sleep. I have this problem all the time when tethering to my laptop. Unless my phone is awake (screen on) it doesn't loose connection. But soon as it turns off, BAM! Connection lost until I wake it up.

I have just put baseband 66 on my phone and I have made the phone work only in 3G mode in the mobile networks settings, up to now it doesn't appear to have the problem, I'll test it some more.

It's definitely the phone as you say. I had a Nokia 6700 classic and it never happened on that. T-mobile internet is spot on 99% of the time. Anyway, try what I tried, use baseband 66 and force your phone to stay in 3G only mode. It appears to work upto now.

[Q] Xperia x10a Software SIM Unlock?

Hi everyone,
I've been searching the forums high and low for days to see if there is a 100% free method to enable the use of the Xperia x10a with any carrier, but I haven't found one. I was able to do this last night with my Samsung Galaxy GT-I9000M (Canadian version of Vibrant) using only freely available software and following a few steps... but I didn't pay a cent for it. I'm a strong believer in being able to do software modification free of charge as long as you're looking in the right places for your information. :cyclops:
That being said, is anyone here able to point me in the direction of a software-only process of "SIM unlocking" the Xperia x10a similar to that of Galaxy phones?
Regards
There is a guide abt all this on the flashtool thread.. look there. It points u to relevant sim unlocking methods etc..

Try this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1978693 the guy offers free one like everyday or few days, just read it up or just pay about $20 USS to unlock your phone.

T-Mobile grandfather T-Zone on C6806

i currently using the $5.99 T-zone on my XPERIA S, i get HSDPA around 5Mbps download and i can tether with no limit... my monthly data usage is around 30GB.
if i get the XPERIA Z Ultra C6806 that have LTE band 4 will i able to get LTE on it using t-zone??
i tried using my current sim on my friends nexus 5, i get LTE signal but everytime i try to connect to internet it brings me to a sign in page on tmobile online, i try to sign in but the page take forever to load
the APN in the nexus 5 is already using "fast.tmobile"
i wonder will i get this problem if i get the C6806??
i juz want unlimited internet with unlimited tether while using tzone
anyone using tzone with Z ultra LTE in USA??
anyone??
It should work as long as you can specify Proxy in the APN, and you can. I really wish I had kept my $5.99 data. It was slow but usable. They still honor it.

I'd chat with a T-Mo technical support CSR about this, whilst absent mindedly telling them that your phone is the Xperia Z, (not Ultra) which they sell, and so must support.

is it possible to fuse two basebands together?

Hey there I am a new guy, a user of Sony Xperia Z2 l50t.
I use both the service of China Mobile and China Unicom.
I know that the hardware of my Z2 supports both WCDMA/FDDLTE and TDSCDMA/TDLTE. But I can't find a way to switch from one to another under one system. When I change the SIM card and then there is simply no 3G/4G signal at all. Are there any solutions? Thanks a lot!
Nope.
