Hoping someone can take a look at my picture and confirm that this is physical damage to the camera lens. You can see the damage on the lower left of the picture.
I have no idea how I got this and was wondering if there is anything i can do to repair this. Will HTC repair this? Can i get it fixed at a 3rd party repair center? Maybe I can do it myself? Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know of a HTC Hero repair service preferably in the UK, I have damaged the front housing at the top of the phone and want to repair it before I sell it on.
If this is not a possibility then I will have to open it up itself, does anyone have any experience of whether or not this is an easy task?
I have the available manual and videos regarding assembling and disassembling the phone.
Hi.
My Xperia S has a crack issue in the upper housing, near the jack 3,5 input.
Anyone whit the same issue?

It's a similar crack issue I had with my old Xperia Arc.
u can ask if the service will take care of it, will it go as under warranty?
Did u drop it?

I've this issue too . But I think it's just a reef of anti-dust coating paint, not a cracking plastic housing. Trust me, U can see another reefs between back camera and led light too.
I have a problem with the cracked screen of my Xperia Active (st17i). Since the repairing cost the service centre will be more than half the price of a new phone, I’ll most probably need to order it and replace it myself.
I haven’t done this before so I’ll need all the advice you can give me both on the hardware and the software part. If anyone have done it before or knows how to do it all tips are welcome.
On the hardware part:
In ebay I found replacement modules including both the screen and the digitizer, BUT not the metal frame to which they are attached. For reference you can see the attached photos. My question here is:
HOW or CAN I disassemble the LCD and the digitizer from the metal frame of the phone at home? They seem to be glued firmly to each other.
On the software part:
I understand that changing the hardware is only part of the problem. If I’m not mistaken after that I’ll have to flash the firmware and calibrate the new screen. The guy from the service centre explained that if I do not find the correct version to flash with the damage may be even worse.
So my questions here are two:
1) Can anyone point which is the correct version to flash (and instructions)?
2) How or Can I calibrate the screen?
.

Hit thanks if I helped you in any way.
Thanks for the link. I was looking at this topic before, but I am not sure whether it is about solving software-related touch-screen problems and if it is applicable in my case (screen replacement).
Does anyone know whether is it really necessary to flash the phone at all?
I also found an article online on screen calibration for xperia active and xperia mini. Here is the link.
It says there I should install ETS software with SETool. I have no idea what this is or how to do that. Can anyone help?
Helloo,
So a few months ago my mother dropped my phone, the screen of the camera was shattered. I removed all the shards. But ever since my camera became dirtier and dirtier. Now there are spots all over my camera and I can't make any clear photo's. I tried to blow it out and someone at a telecom shop tried to do it with some tools but it didn't work.
But now I need to replace the little screen because my phone needs to be repaired (the well known insane chip, SDS etc.) I am afraid that if they see that the screen is missing they'll void my warranty.
First of all, can i easy put another screen on it and where can I get one? A little extra, but not necessarily, how to get the little spots of the lens?
Very very thanks
Thijs
watch a disassembly video on youtube
Thanks. Do I get my warranty back if I fix it?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
not if they find out
ps hit the thanks button
Noticed the other day when I opened the camera app that the picture was vibrating and the camera lens was buzzing. And when I'm shaking th phone something is obviously wrong. The objective rattles. Anyone had this issue?? It's an SM-G925F.

I had this issue. Contacted Samsung and they said I would have to send the phone in for repair. Contacted my carrier and after a lot of difficulty got them to replace the camera sensor and then eventually replace the phone entirely. I'm currently in my 3rd S6 Edge. Never been more frustrated with a cellphone.
