Hi guys!
I have a galaxy s3 (GT-19300) that i bought 2 months ago. I rooted it after one week i bought it. But, 2 days ago i have slow charging problem but it fixed by changing the charger. Before that happen,i wanted to unroot my phone and send it to Samsung Service Center. But I cant find the official firmware for my s3. Then, i found a option in superSU that called Full Unroot. I try to use it. I clicked it and press continue. It said superSU fully unistalled. I think my phone was unrooted but not.I root my phone again. And the superSU always unfortunately stopped. I wondering why it can be like this? When some apps need root permission my phone will slow and and come out with message "Unfortunately superSU has stopped". I dont know why.
Thing that i want you guys to help me.
1) how to unroot galaxy s3. And find it's original firmware or stock rom.
2) why the superSU be like that?
3) what is my mistake.
Please help me. I hope you guys give the best answer.
Thank you.

first use any type of file explorer to find a file named su in /system/xbin. if it is not there then ur device is unrooted. next tell me you are from which country.
hit thanks if I helped.
Why not try asking in the 'Q & A Section' for the Galaxy S3?

if you want to flash your device then search on xda for odin packages or goto live.samsung-updates.com search for your device and download the package corresponding to your country. if you dont know how to use odin to flash your device then search in your device forum. you will get it there.

I had a situation like yours several days ago when I tried to install 3dot remover for my HTC one X.
I had to reinstall whole ROM to make it boot up again. I hope you'll find some other way.
Try clockwork recovery if you have any backup.
no backup
i have no back up, but its ok for my to reinstall the ROM but i dont know how to!
Can you post some pics or screenshot.. Have you tried starting Odin again..??
Did you try removing battery..??
If all these doesn't work out try usb jig..
And please post in s2 forum.. Sure you can get more answers there
sorry about the wrong place
because i am new member so am not allowed to post pics. yes i tried all that and it does not working.
Phone-!-pc mode is download mode. You have to re-flash rom in odin/heimdall.

Just search XDA for "rooting samsung galaxy S2" and then install new ROM. Few days ago I was just like you
Make some research here on XDA you'll find everything here. Or if you can not understand search youtube for video tutorials.
Hey Xda forums,
I've recently bought GS3 (Actually I've pre-ordered it so it's not so recently)
I have decided I want to root my device eventhough I've already got 4.1.1 Jellybean.
But when I went to rooting guides, they've told me to download the correct kernel for my device
which I can't find anywhere! whoever can help me find it will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Download cf-auto root from original android devlopement thread and flash it with Odin. That is all you have to do. More precise instructions in the cf-auto root thread.

First you go to your phone’s Settings -> About Device and make sure your phone is GT-I9300
Turn off you Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300
Go to recovery mode by pressing Volume Down + Power Button + Home Button all together
Then press Volume Up button when a warning shows up
Connect USB cable to your phone.
On your desktop, Extract the downloaded CF-Root file (.tar)
Open Odin3 and click on PDA
Choose the .tar from the extracted CF-Root folder
Then click Start
After the green PASS has appeared in Odin3, you can now remove the USB cable
You should be able to see SuperSU and CWM Manager installed in your Samsung Galaxy S3
That’s it! Congrats

Try using kies. ...Over the air ...don't
Open kies conect phone to computer let kies find your phone. ..then from there use kies to find update for you
Last thing is to use stock 3c recovery and do hard reset there then boot let it go for 10 minutes pass all settings don't setup Google play store.....connect to pc to be recognized by kies and try again

How did you make out? I have the same problem and have spent all day searching for a solution. I am close to just buying a new phone out of contract because I can't spend anymore time on it. At this point I am assuming that as a result of rooting, even though I have removed it the OTA update continues to see something and so it won't complete it's update. I even installed the "full wipe" original stock ROM via Odin but no such luck.

I'd also like to know.
Not sure what you guys are doing but if you installed the MK2 no wipe image and did not try to root, the update should go fine.
Hey guys, i had this exact same issue with a stock s4, never been rooted. called verizon and they told me to go to a samsung kiosk inside a best buy store. i had done all the usual stuff, including hard resets. The guy at the samsung store decided it would be best to do a Binary Wipe which wipes every little thing on the phone (take out your sd card beforehand). It worked, i had the update on the sd card and it took after the binary wipe. it is the lowest level wipe you can do. as far as i know only the samsung people can do it... they wipe it and restore stock 4.3 verizon to your phone, then the update will take.
I'm sure this has been asked several times but I never seen a answer that can help me.
About 6 months ago my phone started to become really slow and freezed at some points. I decided to root and and put another rom on it. So I installed purelook HD. Since a few days I can't use my phone for more than 5 minutes until it freezes. Everytime it freezes I need to take out the battery and put it back in. Decided to install neatrom but same problem. Here is how and what:
- I can't access my phone in any way, it freazes before I can do anything.
- SIM in or out doesn't matter, I'm living in the Netherlands and my SIM provider is KPN.
- My binary counter is set to 1, so I can directly send it back. Is it possible to change this without accessing the phone? Because that is impossible.
- If/after the above is possible how can I unroot it? Is it possible to do a reset trough KIES? This is how I did it last time.
If there is someone that would like to help me it is really appreciated. I screwed up my S1 and I'm really scared I'm going to do it again.
Some Details I can get to:
MODEL: GT-I9300
FCC ID: A3LGTI9300A
SSN: -I9300GSMH
Thanks for your help.
btw, I do got skype if anybody would like to add me and help me. zander19951
Go and read the freezing thread in the general forum, flash a stock rom to unroot but you can't reset flash counter unless you can run triangle away (which you will need root for).
You should have sent for repair before flashing anything, warranty is now void.

I couldn't know freezing might be a hardware problem and not a software problem. I can get into my phone every 1/20 or so so I'm going to try and install triangle away.
Can I do a reset trough KIES? Or will it brick my phone?

Never used kies, always odin, you can't reset anything in either. To keep flash counter zero after you run triangle away you'll need a stock kernel and recovery installed, do this before you triangle away.
Then flash a stock rom, with a zero counter you are ready for repair.

Root doesn't cause freezing therefore, using the unroot option in supersu will not help the situation

Hi everyone. I have a rooted Galaxy Note 1. It's actually a GT-N7000 from the UK, this was the closest forum I could find here. Anyway, I accidentally tried to update the software and now my phone in stuck in a bootloop with the Android logo. When I try to reset it (volume+home+power buttons) it goes to an Odin "Downloading..." screen and gets stuck on that.
I've seen some stuff about unbricking the phone using Odin to return to the original stock rom. But from what I can tell, there are different stock roms available depending on your Country Sales Code (CSC). So apparently I need to look in Kies for my CSC to know which rom to download, but Kies doesn't recognise the phone, I guess because it's bricked. I know the phone is from the UK, but I don't know what network it came from (I bought it second hand). All I know is that it is unlocked now.
I have CWM.zip, CWM-SuperSU-v0.87.zip, and franco.Kernel-r5.zip on the micro SD card from when I was rooting it ages ago. Do these have anything to do with fixing it?
Any ideas on where I go from here? Thanks for your help.

What did you try and flash? For what device?
Are drivers installed on your computer?

I've been searching for days and come across all sorts of 'similar but not quite enough for me to figure it out' threads.
My Galaxy Note GT-N7000 said there were updates available for the device, which I tried to install without thinking. When it reset it went into the bootloop. The Samsung drivers that are installed with Kies are installed on my computer.
Cheers
