Hey folks!
Assuming you forgot the Pattern/Password that you use to secure your phone. Of course,
you could get in using your Gmail account Password...
But what if you don have an account or you forgot the password to that, too???
Here are two possibilities:
For everyone with a recovery version (cwm, twrp, xrec) installed:
This Tool, which you can flash in any recovery version (at least, all that I tried), gets you past that problem, as it simply disables the pattern/password lock.
What you need:
-a recovery version (xrecovery/cwm...) installed on your phone
-the flashable zip
-brain
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download the zip from the bottom of this post on to your sdcard (using your PC, as you cant get into your phone, right )
2. Insert the sdcard into your phone
3. Reboot into recovery mode
4. Flash the zip
5. Reboot
6. Done!
B. For everyone without a recovery version installed:
What you need:
-A computer running a Linux distro (Ubuntu, Mint, etc.) NOTE: This Guide was written for MINT 14, but it should work on other distros, too.
-a USB cable to connect your phone to the PC
-adb installed (look at quick tutorial below)
How to install adb:
1. Open Terminal
2. Type:
Code:
sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb
[Enter]
3. Follow the instructions until everything is installed
Click to collapse
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Connect you (turned on) Phone to the Computer via USB.
2. Open a terminal window.
3. Type
Code:
adb devices
adb shell
cd data/system
rm *.key
4. Done!
Now you just have to reboot.
NOTE: The Pattern lock will probably still show up, but you can type in anything you want, as it will accept anything!
Please test this on every Android OS, as I have only tested it on GB so far, but, theoretically, it should work on any Android Version & ROM.

This is for 1.8.0.1???
Can someone verify the latest and validity and that their recovery actually shows 1.8.0.1 with the above link?

Ok, fine, let me nand backup and flash this one...here it goes...will report back momentarily.
EDIT:
Ok, I just flashed that second link, it shows the same version in RA recovery as the first link download I flashed.
Build : RA-nexus-v1.8.0
When he released 1.7.0.1, it shows that in the RA utility.
Just use the first link, it is an accurate description of the actual version form what I can tell. There doesn't appear to be a 1.8.0.1.
Just flashed v1.8.0...very nice and much easier to read! Love the blue vs. the red

Hey guys, I'm in need of some help with my prime. Just got it a few days ago and rooted it just fine using vipermod. The used OTA root keeper to save root for ICS. After installing ICS, I restored root and everything was fine. Then I noticed that my prime would loose wifi signal ever 2 minutes. I did a factory reset thinking that would fix it (and it did) but now a few things are beyond messed up and i can't figure it out! For one, I cannot access the notifications area (when i tap it, nothing comes up) the home button also does not work at all. so i tried to install cwm so i can re flash the ROM from scratch but now ADB does not see my device AT ALL. i tried everything. i have all the drivers installed and all. I'm at a loss and extremely frustrated. does anyone know whats going on here? how can i get adb to see my prime so i can flash cwm? or is there an alternative way to completely flash the rom? (i also tried the method on asus' website by downloading ICS and placing it on the root of the SD, and still nothing)
You won't be able to install CWM without unlocking the bootloader (and voiding your warranty first). After that, you can no longer flash a ROM from Asus without bricking your device. There is the latest updated ROM in the dev section though.
Good luck!
I did that as well and still nothing :-/
For ADB to work you need to have usb debugging enabled on the tablet....probably a silly thing to ask but always have to check...

yup thats enabled as well. when i first got it with 3.2 on it, i plugged it in and drivers installed automatically and adb recognized it right away. now that ics is on it, adb cant see it. i have never ran into this with any android device ever.
Mine did that once and I also had to disable ASUS Sync in settings. After that ADB worked fine.
Update the drivers on your PC
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426502
If you do it right, it will work.
BUT YOU DONT EVEN NEED ADB, LOOK BELOW (I am not advocating not knowing how to adb but lets just fix your prime)
Since you have unlocked your bootloader you can install CWM and just install the latest Virtuous Rom:
If you dont have CWM download Rom Manager from the market, run it, select "Flash recovery" at the top. (btw rom manager just released this today)
*Note that the 'reboot into recovery' option within RM will not reboot into recovery, you must do it manually.. See below
-Backup your apps with Titanium Backup if you want
-Download Virtuous S
-Boot into recovery (directions beneath)
---Power off
---Hold Vol Down (-) and Power until you see spash screen with white text at the top THEN HIT VOL UP (+) within 5 seconds. this will boot into recovery
-if you are coming from stock then: select "wipe data/factory reset"
-Install zip from sdcard, browse for the rom
-Profit?
Guys, thanks a million for all the replies! After uninstalling the drivers and re-installing them then moving my ADB directory to the root of my C drive, it now recognizes my Prime and I was able to flash CWM. I'm now running Virtuous Prime and loving it! Thanks again!

I would still recommend that you go download Rom Manager and flash the new recovery.
The one in the thread in the dev section is an unofficial port. The one is the Rom Manager is official and works a little better.
Additionally, if you plan to use ADB in the future, there is a simple thing you can do to make it so that within command prompt you can type 'adb' commands ANYWHERE, and not just in the folder that your adb files are..
Right click on Computer--> Properties-->Advanced-->Environmental Variables
Click edit on PATH in the top box if it exists already, add ';' to the end of the previous path and enter the path to your ADB, mine is like
Code:
C:\Users\Mike\Downloads\android-sdk_r16-windows\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools\;
and if it PATH doesnt already exist just create it.
Hope I helped

Help! I was using Carlos' unlocking the bootloader guide against my will, because I love stock. And turns out karma has gotten me. For some reason my recovery wasn't installing on V20B, so I flashed back to V20F, factory reset, re-rooted, installed busybox, flashed the artas recovery... And yet my recovery STILL isn't showing up. The boot animation is inverted and the touch screen is still "messed up." I have a backup on my external SD card that I can use if I somehow get recovery functional. It's just the stupid recovery won't work and I need it to work lol. Any help? Please?! By the way, I've done an emergency flash using LG Mobile Support Tool and that didn't work, so I'm still open to suggestions.
I've been very helpful to everyone who's asked me for help, I'd like for others to be the same to me. Thanks to whoever tries

I don't have recovery. It won't flash. I have stock V20F without anything but a messed up screen.
Have you tried installing recovery using the L9 recovery installer app?
Also, for the wonky touch screen, it would help a lot if you enabled "Show touches" in the developers options tab~

First fix the touch screen, hold up I'll send you all the info,
Another thing, I hope you already have adb debugging enabled
Wait a min, you have everything you need if you tried to unlock your device
Inside the root lelus folder is the adb
You know, if you go to link for robert busybox on your pc (and sign in) it will send it to your phone, to download
1. Go to the root lelus folder (should be on your c: drive) and open the "stuff" folder
now, hold down the shift key and right click with your mouse, you should see an option, to "open command window here"
This should open a cmd up where the adb is at.
2. Open the cwm_ts_fix_p769.zip and go into the system folder and copy the v6.bin to your external sd
3.now type
adb devices (in the command window)
you should get a number with online status. If you don't it's because adb debugging is not enabled
4. next type
adb shell
su
your phone will ask to enable it, good luck on enabling on the wonky touch screen
okay, type
cat /storage/external_SD/v6.bin > /sys/devices/virtual/input/lge_touch/firmware
note if you put it on the internal storage, type
cat /sdcard/external_SD/v6.bin > /sys/devices/virtual/input/lge_touch/firmware
this will cause the shell to freeze.
so open up a new cmd (hold shift key & and right click inside the stuff folder) and type
adb reboot
hope this helps, if you need a better guide, lol just ask, it will take me awhile though

My Phone has gone to Vodacom for repairs so I unfortunately cant test it.
I made a single script to unlock bootloader and install this CWM but again I cant test it because I dont have a phone, but it should work.

Here's the steps that r shown in this video.

First of all, you will need to install abd and fastboot drivers if you're on a windows pc, if you use linux, just install abd and fastboot packages and dependencies for your distro.Connect the phone in the computer using an usb cable, and activate the debug in the phoneNext step, on windows open the command line...
In linux, just open the terminalNow call the abd, just type this (whitout quotes):
"abd -start-server"
Wait a little bit, in your phone will apear a mensage to validare the abd acess to the phone, just say yes...Again in the terminal or command line,
type:"abd reboot bootloader"(do not wait until the phone reboot).
type
"fastboot boot recovery.img".
After this, the twrp will boot in your phone, without installation (if you install the twrp, your warranty is void),
you can use twrp for backup your stock rom for exemple...
If you want to install the twrp, just change the last comand to:
"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
Method two---
Simply grab flashify or mobile uncle tool app and flash the recovery.img with those.
These 2 app needs root access.
ROMS
Sorry guys.
No luck for rom yet.

Yep. Our device ins't very popular hence the low user activity here :\ but I've seen people asking for ROMs/EMUI updates.
Hope your friend continues development! Fingers crossed!
Btw I have a y625-U51 firmware. I'm not exactly sure what is with the "Uxx" versions.

I have asked Huawei support for a simmilar question here's the reply:
"...Given that your device is manufactured for Bulgaria, you may refer to http://consumer.huawei.com/bg/support/index.htm to select your country region of support to be assisted accordingly.
Kindly be inform that Huawei strongly do not suggest the customers to download upgrade from a different region as it will affect the device performance and void the warranty. "
