How do I get this damn purple LED to stop blinking all the time? I tried all my messaging apps, email, play store, everything and I can't get it to stop.

Yes....I tried everything I can think of and no luck.
Do you have lightflow or any other LED enhancing program installed?
Also do you have email accounts syncing, even if set not to notify. I had the stock email app with one account. It was not set to display notifications, but I still had the blinking light.

First Off: What ROM are you running?
STOCK image from VZW?
Rooted?
Unlocked Bootloader?
Custom ROM??
If you are running a Custom ROM, which one and did you tweak it ?
If you start by answering these it will be a lot easier for us to help you out.

Can someone please help? I've read that it was possible to set the Capacitive buttons on the bottom of the phone to light up for notifications. If this is true can someone please point me in the right direction?
And just to clarify, I've searched and searched but I can't seem to find out how to do it.

BLN: back light notifications
You need a custom kernel with the bln and module built in and on a tw rom you will need to get the bln app from the market.
Some aosp roms have that feature included in the system settings themselves, and if not I'm pretty sure all aosp kernels have that module in it for at least the app to work.
I use this kernel (r3) + BLN app from the Play market.

Judging by in your signature it shows you as having a Note 2 I would probably go ask in those forums about BLN as I am sure flashing one of our kernels that supports it will cause you to have a nice big paper weight

I am looking for a way to set the colors for the notification LED. I just can't find the right app. can someone tell me how or what to use?
Other question is if there is a way to get the stock Android dialer and contact list like in cyanogenmod instead of the touchwiz apps.

Try Light Manager from the Play Store, that's what I'm using now and it seems to be doing what it should be so far. Thing is some colors are a bit off, but its still ok.
No idea on the Dialer though.
light manager hasn't all good reviews. but you think it should do the trick? thanks. can I just try it and remove it when not happy?

I use the paid version of light flow and give it root access. Just install an asop rom if your not a fan of tw?

Agree - Light flow with root access has always worked for me.
With Light Flow my Device dont turn into deep sleep (after first notificazion & root rights)
But This is my only problem everything else work fine.
Enyone have same prob??

OK, lightflow you all say. But what is that Talkback stuff people write about?

Installed liquid smooth nightly a few nights ago, everything is good, but I'm unable to send MMS. I'm able to receive just fine. Any ideas?
Should be in q and a. Anytime I ran that rom I had no issues. Maybe try reflashing the rom dirty or clean

do you have this problem on stock based roms?
No, no issue on stock. I'm able to send through stock messaging app, but when I go into gosms and try to send the same mms... It just never sends.
I tried uninstalling but this didn't help.

Just flashed and im still having this issue. Default messaging app send MMS fine. But gosms refuses to. Can receive fine, but unable to send.
Any ideas?

This is sort of driving me crazy. I am getting the purple notification light blinking when the screen is off, but I have cleared all notifications.
Anyone else get this? I don't want to turn the notification light off, I simply want it to work when it should.

You have a notification you haven't check. Could be email, fb, calendar, anything at this point. That's why I use lightflow

I just reinstalled JB 1.8 and I seem to have a white line across the top of my screen that I never had before. Seems to be associated with pull down. Any ideas?

Have you tried to redownload the ROM and re install? Also did you do a full wipe?

Thank you it must have been the battery bar. I had hidden selected, but had to change the height to 0 to get it to go away.
