I have a T-Mobile HTC Amaze 4g boot up with white noise. The Lcd turn's on, but no sound and no image's just white noise(static).
Notes:
I have updated the software to ICS and rooted the phone with s-off.
Also I opened the phone to clean the front camera, and no I didn't cut or broke any internal robins.
I did however used a dust blower to clean the dust.

Hi,
can i use the LCD of a HTC Harrier unit to replace a broken Blue Angel LCD?
Thanks.
well, basically I believed they have the same size but they have different film at the back of it so it is not compatible....
To those who have their White GSII, how is the white over time? Is there any discoloration over time?
The white of the phone is mostly covered by a surface which is quickly wiped clean and the material used is showing no sign of fading or getting dirty

Have no issues with discoloration here
No discoloration (due overheating cpu) for me but i know someone got that problem (hot phone = white tend to turn yellow near cpu slot).
But i got some micro scratches on the back cover (spiderweb style) close to the lower right corner (nop, phone never dropped, always in the case) that i dont have on my black one.
The black backcover is a lot better, milled to avoid any chance to slip, while the white backcover is slick.
So I have my rezound now and so far setting it up and putting through it's paces and only one thing has me a little miffed and that the leds that light up the capacitive buttons below the screen are leaking up when you change the viewing angle slightly.
It's something I can live with but if I have a dud I'd like a replacement. My incredible s didn't have this issue.
Thanks

Mine does the same thing(so did the one on display at my local Verizon).
It's a bit extreme, but if you open it up, separate the screen from the digitizer, you could put a thin strip of electrical tape in there and that should block out most of it.
I'm not going to go to that extreme but pretty lame that they couldn't fix that.
I wonder if all of these major issues came from the same batch of phones. Mine hasn't had any of the problems, no audio issue, no bootloop, no heat, no light leaking, no dead pixels. When my buddy gets his today I am going to see if he has any issues.
Are you taking about seeing light when you look down on the phone from the top?
To illustrate what I mean..
Lay your phone flat on its back, then stand it so that it the screen is perpendicular to the surface. Now look down on the phone as if you were trying to look into the headphone jack , but direct your eyes to the led soft lights . You should be able to see light.
Make sure the LEDs are on of course.
I'd this is what you mean.. I don't see it as a problem. More like nit picking. We don't use the phone at that viewing angle for anything

I've owned 2 HTC phones in the past and they both have had light leakage.
I'm learning that some things on phones we just have to accept, because really they aren't that big of a deal
Light leakage on HTC phones is one of them, the other being issues with sAmoled screens such as tint problems. I guess some things are just manufacturing artifacts. Sure they can completely get rid of light leakage, but whatever you won't notice it in a couple weeks anyway. It isn't a defect, just something common with HTC phones.
Hello, I am having a problem with my phone while it is displaying any white or lightly colored screen, I have tested it on multiple apps, webpages, and it is apparent on all of them, this problem isn't noticeable while on darker screens though. It looks as though the screen itself is dirty, even after I wipe down the screen with a microfiber cloth. It's almost as if I can see the pixels themselves, I am thinking it is a screen defect. Is anyone else having this problem, and would it be covered by sprint. I have lost my warranty with HTC since I unlocked my bootloader, so it has to be done through sprint.
After replacing lg v10 screen, i tested the device thoroughly.
Device works fine with a new LCD screen as long as not all components are connected (e.g. front camera en 3.5 mm jack)
The problem i keep getting with the LCD is:
1. Connect 3.5 mm jack and LCD screen blacks out.
2. Screw on back panel and LCD screen blacks out.
3. When charger is connected LCD screen blacks out immediatly.
In all three situations the LCD black outs and if it turns on you see white lines on the right side of the screen.
If you thighten the screws too hard the LCD screen also in black out.
If you plug in the charger the lcd immediatly goes black.
Now I wonder where the problem lies. Is it the LCD screen or motherboard.
PS: this was a water damaged phone which was repaired by a store with industrial equipment.
