Help me please. I'm trying to use sp flash tool and it will not work. I have tried on windows 8 and 7. When I add a scatter file it doesn't show the right numbers instead they are all zeros? So then it doesn't work right with the phone. Please help me!

Hi, I was trying to use Flash tool and Don't know what happend but My Phone is completely DEAD right now even power button is also not working no screen is there (just blank phone).
I am having UMI X2 2GB rom, 32 gb internal memory, 1.5 GHZ (MT6589T) Model.
I tried to use SP Flash tool to recover my phone. Firstly I tried to format the phone, After that I tried to run the correct scatter file for MT6589 (from one of the ROM Posted under UMI-X2).
Drivers for the SP Flash tool is loaded correctly (into my Windows 8 Pc). I was previosly getting error as follow : SP FLASH TOOL ERROR: (8200)
[Platform Error] The load and target are inconsistent!
Now, after searching a lot I found that its something wrong with SP Flash tool version.
So I downloaded SP Flash Tool V3.1304.O.sn119 version. After that I am trying to "Download" the rom (with the correct scatter file for my ROM). but its only showing me RED Bar (with 100%) and after that it does nothing. Its neither showing me any error nor its continuing the process.
I am in serious problem here. Please help me out.

I have the same issue.
A couple of days ago the phone just started turning off / locking up when off, and having great difficulty tuning on... i.e. pulling out the battery for a minute or a few times.
Now the phone won't turn on at all. They only sign of life is the charging animation when you plug it in.
Prior to all this, there appeared a window in Chinese with some options. my GF (who's phone it is) just pressed something, no idea what. But she said something about 'drawing on the screen'??? sound like something locked up and the previous frame wasn't deleted from the frame buffer before redrawing the new one... I have no idea.
Anyway, I tried going into recovery to see if there was anything I could do there, unfortunately everything was in Chinese, so not much help. for some reason now, the recovery isn't even working.
Now I can connect to the phone via SPflash, but I get the above response: '[Platform Error] The load and target are inconsistent!'
Some other ROMs I tried give me this response:
'The load to be downloaded is for MT6589;
The target platform is MT6582_S00'
Which is quite suspicious.
Any ideas?

i have ur same phone and i have ur same problem,my pkone is dead later flash any wrong miui rom from cwm recovery and now is dead,i dont have any idea where is original firmware for sp.flash tool or other how piranha box,please,anyone can please me??? THANK U for read!!!!

Today I tried to update my phone OT-4033X with Custom ROM, but the process did not work and he stock in logo boot
i tried the flash it with backup i already take with MTK Droid Tools
after i did format from SP flash tool like tuto in net
and i go for Download but the process does not succeed and give me "s_not_enough_storage_space (1011)" in SP flash Tool
I tried with several copy
SP-Flash-Tool-v3.1344.0.212
SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1316.0.150
SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1348.00
and alcatel Mobile Upgrade S does not recognize the phone
any solutions pls

I had the same issue with mine 4033x. I managed to fix it by fallowing the instructions on this site:

but instead of the included scatter file (MT6572_Android_scatter) use the one attached to this post.

Hi have bricked my THL 4000 with an update.
I try now to unbrick my phone.
I have installed the driver on my pc but i can't use the SP flash tool :/
SP flash tool say: " Error: Initialize scatter file failed. Please check the scatter file name you load is legal "
I don't understand why it say it... I use the original scatter file from needrom.com
I have tryed a lot of version of SP flash tool and also other scatter file but i have always the seam error :/

I can't flash anything using recovery mode because it say : "Invalid OTA package, missing scatter"

I have tryed to use SP tool but i need a scatter so i tryed to create a scatter using adb (because i can't use debug mode, my phone is bricked) but the adb terminal say "error: closed" when I type "adb shell"

Can you try to load these scatter on your SP tool? I think it didn't work only on my pc, can you test on your?
Do you have other idea that I can do for unbrick my phone?
I'm not at my computer now. As for the scatter file, you might want to try chinaphonearena to see if they have an original scatter for your phone.

I tryed his scatter and others too: don't work. I tryed also scatter for others phones models but noone works

In Flash Tool, Click at the "Format" Tab.
There you can find "Start" button, Click on it.
Then go back to "Download" Tab and Repeat the Work.
