Wifi disconnect - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Am running cwm7.2.This is a used phone. It is rooted and unlocked.I reset and wiped phone before I flashed rom.
The phone works fine.Except...Wifi connects then disconnects.I have reconfigured all the info of the wifi sources I have tried. No luck.It continues to connect, disconnect.
If anyone can direct me to a thread or has any suggestions I would appreciate any help.I have looked thru stickies and threads(albeit not all).Thnx,rbb1robert

XXLQ5 on I777

I tried to flash XXLQ5 I9100 leaked ICS 4.0.4 rom to our device. Changed a kernel and the modem from UCLE5.
Changed keyboard layout. Everything works perfectly.
One minus, bluetooth doesn't work. No switch on. Any suggestions?
I tried to change all files relating bluetooth in system/app,lib and others from UCLE5 but no luck. :crying:
Yeah, shoman94 was working on the 4.0.4 base for his rom, but had to put it on hold due to kernel imcompatibility. He said "using a custom kernel borks BT and the camera." May have to wait for source to drop.

I assume you're aware that kernel has been confirmed as having the EMMC brick bug. And could brick your device if you wipe with it installed.

I'm aware about that and before flashing i change kernel with UCLE5 and modem UCLE5, deleted boot.bin. It was no problem with flash and wipe. Now i flashed Pure SGS3 rom from I9100 and no problem.
I tried XWLPM for Russia but same problem fnd now camera also not working.

You don't have an i9100 you have an i777. Stick to the roms in the forum for your actual phone and you might find it magically works all of a sudden.

Thats not true. Roms from the i9100 work just as well once they are hellraised. Ive tried many of them myself and they all work fine.

If that's the case then yeah don't do that. You won't just flash the wrong ROM, you'll end up flashing the i9100 kernel that was packaged with the ROM. Also the touch buttons won't work properly.

Actually nevermind, the OP said he changed the kernel and the modem. The ROM sounds hellraised to me. I've also tried to hellraise the XWLPM 4.0.4 ROM but the camera wasn't working on that on.

In 4pda.ru mythtrandyr find solution for camera. With CWM should be flashed fix.zip (attached).
Thanks to him.
Now on ICS 4.0.4 XWLPM camera working fine.
Here is the link how to solve problem with bluetooth on Galaxy Note for ICS 4.0.4. There developer hardcore showed patch for bluetooth.
May be our developers can do same to our device to flash ISC 4.0.4 XWLPM to I777.
Thanks.

what i suppose is that there is a conflict between the rom and the kernel, what i would suggest you do is install a different kernel, like siyah or N.E.A.K
try this first tho
1) go into mount and storage then format system
2) get the latest siyah on ur SD card and flash it from recovery
3) try reinstalling hydra
coming to my house proves it. but yesterday I did that but left with a semibrinck ... I am not sure why that was. thank you very much for the answer

Kinda Noobie here
hello,
2 month back i brought unlocked i777 from ebay. It got rooted and unlocked with Android version 2.3.4, baseband i777UCKH7 and kernel version 2.6.35.7.
It got super user app (so i think its rooted). But the CMW is not installed. i checked in recovery mode (it show some android recovery).
So now i m thinkin of installing the latest AOKP ROM (with siyah kernel) but not sure wat to flash first.
should i root again first (root + CWM) then install AOKP. then change the kernel.
or root then kernel then AOKP ?
also i m confuse which root method should i use for installing CWM in gingerbread .

Please make sure you're running a safe kernel otherwise you'll brick your phone.
i read that guide thread .. as my phone got Superuser, i m using the Mobile odin method [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311081].
As i m on gingerbread, i need to use gingerbread kernel to install clockwork model. i.e Entropy512's Daily Driver or Siyah 2.6.
but i wanna intall ICS rom , so after installing siyah 2.6 should is flash with latest AOKP on it ? will siyah 2.6 support the latest AOKP ?

Install kernel with cwm.
Boot to recovery and install aokp rom
Done
Every rom install contains a kernel that works with the rom. Doesn't matter what you had before.

When you flash the custom kernel with CWM, you can then user CWM to flash whichever ROM you wish. I.E. AOKP

Hi przemcio510, where can i find it, I just found 6.0.1.1. Thank you for replying
Status 7 generally means you are attempting to install a ROM that does not match the model number for your device.
Where did you download the ROM, and what is your exact model number? (the model number will be printed on a label underneath the battery)
While going from xxslj to cm10.1 I faced the same problem. I restored my previous backup which was rootbox and then I installed CM10.1 and it worked without any problem.
Of course this will work only if you have backup..
Else you download siyah kernel for s2 from gokhanmoral.com flash it via Odin and then try to install whatever you want to

Help flashing Jellybam jb 4.2.1 status 7 error

Im using the Siyah-I777-v7.6.4-S kernal and did the norm whipe and all the cachs and such downloaded the rom 3-4 times on pc on phone directly and still get the error no matter what any help would be great thanks if you can tell me what kernel you are useing with this rom and were to get it thanks.
you have posted in the wrong section for one. to get rid of that error you need to odin back to stock and then root it and have cwm. then flash again. no other way of doing it. you could have asked in the jellybam thread. it has already been stated how to do it.

Wouldn't be, that kernel was made by AJ for Sammy JB ROMs.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda app-developers app
so i can using the same kernel i installed get hte shosock rom to work but i can not get this one to work i even reinstalled the task650 aokp rom and then did the whip and all that and still can not this rom to install my problem and the reason im going from the task 650 rom to a different one is battery life with the task650 my battery would drop like a percent a min and was killing me i want to have a JB 4.2.1 rom would like the multi window option like shoshock rom but i love the aokp stuff so any other rom options with kernals would be wonderful or mods but currently im got the sohshock rom on it 4.2.1 NS WILL GIVE IT A TRY FOR A WILE AND SEE HOW THAT WORKS i dont think im going to stay with it thow cus there not that much to change to customize .
